Testing Grounds (a.k.a. Polygons) are dungeons scattered around the Main World which usually contains a set of challenges (mostly puzzles) and unique rewards.

Testing Grounds include unique rewards in the form of Weapon Upgrade Blueprints.

There are 8 dungeons in total, each one includes 3 reward chests (Lootyagins) coloured Bronze, Silver and Gold. These are found at the end of each challenge.

Note: Gold is always last and usually by an exit.
Note: Lootyagins emit a jingle which makes them easier to find.

Most testing grounds have their entrance hidden. This entrance has to be unlocked via a Dandelion (Camera).
Dandelions can be accessed through a corresponding terminal which can be seen using your scanner.

Note: Dandelions are disabled whenever a corresponding Hawk drone is down.

The world is split into ecosystems. Each ecosystem is dependent on a HAWK Relay.
A HAWK Relay enables robotics to function which includes Dandelions, Enemies and Pchelas.

Dandelions are connected to a Terminal, accessing a Terminal lets you look through its connected Dandelions which can be used to open Testing Grounds using the 'interact' key ( by default).
To view a Dandelions Terminal use your scanner, as it will show a line leading to a Terminal.

Note: If a Dandelion is disabled, it cannot be accessed until repaired by a Pchela.
Note: You can temporarily disable a HAWK Relay using a special terminal, this disables all robotics in the area including Dandelions. This lasts for quite a while.

Pro Tip: Remember to occasionally look up.
Pro Tip: The movement speed upgrade makes platforming easier.

Polygon 1

  • Fox Ergonomic Handle
  • MP Expansive Converter
  • KS-23 Extended Magazine
  • Zvezdochka Reverse Shot

There is a building with a blue roof. The door can be opened with a Dandelion. Then take the elevator.

The Polygon starts with an intro to magnets.
This challenge is a little homage to Indiana Jones, it also shows that player they shouldn't always just wait for the magnets to finish moving as you can act while they are moving. Just don't get crushed.

See that door on the other side... yeah just get there... yes, it's really that easy.

Once on the other side there is a vent you can go through.

Once you exit there will be a Bronze Lootyagin to your left.

The next challenge should be a combat room.
Note: I've completed all of these quite some time ago, I am going off of memory for this one.
Once complete there is an exit on the other side of the room, you'll go through a hole in a wall and through a 2 step magnetic door.
At the door make sure to go to your right as not to miss the Silver Lootyagin. (I know I have)

Challenge 3 is another magnet room just like Challenge 1... and it's even easier.
You just shock it once and jump to the other side, remember you can dash mid air.
At the end there is a Gold Lootyagin to the left next to the exit elevator.

Polygon 6

  • MP Extended Magazine
  • Kalash Collimator
  • Electro Electromagnetic Emitter
  • Snowball Battering Blow

This entrance is hidden underground, through a semi-cylindrical-whatever-the-♥♥♥♥-you-call-it thing by the water, you can't miss it.
The big door can be unlocked with a dandelion, the terminal is on the other side of the lake on top of a tower.

The first challenge is a spinny spinner thing. Your goal is to first unlock a lock on a door (On the upper spinner) so you can go through and climb through a hole in a wall.
The first valve will spin both contraptions at once. There is a second valve on the lower spinner which you can use to spin the upper spinner separately.
To climb up you can use the shelf on the lower spinner. (image below)
Note: Spinning both contraptions while the upper is already spinning will only cause the lower one to spin.
You can also look at the funny mannequins. (Such funny)
Once up there will be an opening to your left leading to a large room. There will be a Bronze Lootyagin in front of you.

The next challenge is a combat challenge. There is a large cylindrical room that will swarm you with Owls. Once you defeat them you can continue downwards through a super unique vent. (whoa)
Once you reach the exit, climb up out of the vent, there will be a Silver Lootyagin right behind you.

🧀 Cheese
The last challenge is another spinner... now I will admit I have no idea how to solve this one, however I know a very epic gamer way of beating it. What you want to do is get a shelf, climb on it (this might take a few tries as the ledge is quite small) and simply turn around and jump. I am pretty sure this is how the devs intended this.
There is also more funny mannequins.
After beating the last challenge, there will be a Gold Lootyagin to the right of the exit elevator.

Legit
So the real way of beating this puzzle takes a few more steps.
Just like... follow the images and you should be fine y'know :)

Polygon 9

  • KS-23 Collimator
  • Dominator Impulse Divider
  • Kalash Electromagnetic Polarizer
  • Pashtet Ergonomic Handle

When you first enter this area Dandelions will be disabled, how come? Well turns out the HAWK Relay has been hit by Morgana Q and is currently Rooted, sadge.

To free the relay, we'll need to go to the sewer, there is an entrance close to the safe room shack where you can drop down. Beware of the infected, Raspberry Juice Cartridge should help you deal with them.
You should arrive at a room with a few boilers, to your right is a door leading to a room full of hot energy balls... see where this is going... Crispy Critters, burn the ♥♥♥♥ out of it.

After committing arson the relay should be in the sky again, great. Now you just need to access a terminal sitting next to an untextured robot and we're in.

Fun Fact: It is using the default Unreal Engine 4 texture.

What you're looking for is a statue of Lenin. It has a switch which... oh... it opens an elevator behind it... I thought it would like move or something... little underwhelming.

To enter this challenge, you'll gave to get through a door. You can open it with a zapper in a room next to it. The door opens for less than a second, this can be extended using the Polymer Jet Skill. 🍆💦
Originally posted by Kidm0bius:

Note: This door is reused in Polygon 10, have fun.

This challenge is pretty fun, and easy too. There are 2 balls you'll need.
  • The first should be visible to you as you enter the room, use it to go through the big door in front of you. To your right will be a door with 2 holders, remember that.
  • To your left will be a Bronze Lootyagin.
  • If you go down the stairs, there will be a big, red and obvious button. Press it and see what happens.
  • Cool, now get the 2nd ball from the under water container and place them in the 2 holder in the room you went through.
  • You will have to manage your balls on the door to get both of them through.
  • Once through, there will be another nice red button to your right, this will open a door in front of you (as you're looking at it through a window.)
Finally you'll need to take both of your balls back to open the last door behind the door you just opened, these devs really like doors and buttons. Make sure to save and wait before the next challenge, there's a sus fight.
So the next challenge is a boss fight, against Plyusch and a ♥♥♥♥ ton of infected (mutants, same thing).
If you want tips for this there are some:
  • Plyusch is immune to gunfire, he is melee only.
  • Raspberry Juice is very effective against him (Fire Cartridge), better when mixed with Polymeric jet if you have that. Don't spam your shots as it's a damage over-time effect.
  • Mass Telekinesis (And its slam upgrade) is the best ability in this game, it is insanely good and taking out large groups of enemies.
  • Bonk
The Exit is at the end of the room. The Silver Lootyagin should be to your right.

The last room is quite east... if you look behind.
  • As always you'll need 2 balls (I'm beginning to see a pattern here.) The idea is to use these balls to climb up a set of large stairs.
  • The first ball is shilling on the ground, you can plug it into a holder to see what happens.
  • The second ball is behind you, up on a platform. There should be a set of magnets near the wall, you can use these as an elevator to reach the ball.
  • Once you have 2 balls you can use them to climb up the steps. It's pretty from here (You can throw them if you hold the interact key).
Last just open the door and jump through, there should be a Gold Lootyagin to your right (... or left, it's somewhere close to the exit)

Polygon 8

  • Zvezdochka Lower Blade With Reflex Booster
  • Fox Lightweight Titanium Blade
  • Dominator Vortex Transducer
  • MP Revolver-type Bolt Frame
  • Swede Polymeric Alloy Extension

To enter you'll need to activate 3... things... via Dandelions through 3 separate terminals. Once activated an elevator will open inside the building.
Originally posted by San:
Note: polygon 8 will be available only after you start “Bug in the System” mission. Otherwise door inside a building won’t be opened even if all terminals are activated.

Bronze has a simple magnet room with some parkour on top of it. Overall very simple.
Once you reach the door, go forward and the Bronze Lootyagin will be to your right.

Silver is a small combat challenge with some flying enemies.
Once you exit there will be a Silver Lootyagin to your left.

The last challenge is a spectacle, you might want to take a minute to just have a look around and admire the visuals for a bit.

This challenge is a collection of a few smaller challenges.
  • First you want to make your way across this large drop. (Try not to fall)
  • Before you continue there are a few chests you can loot, for materials or ammo.
  • Next, there is a room with a tube and a large drop down. Now remember how I told you not to fall... well instead jump down and fall with style. (The polymer will prevent fall damage)
  • Down there you will be in a room with a ton of balls, a door and a button. You want to fill all of the ball holders so the door opens for longer when you press the button.
  • I recommend taking a ball with you to the next room as it will help out. (I believe it is the intentional way of beating that room, as the door opens anyway)
  • With your new ball, you want to place it into a ball holder on top of a stair case, which will move over a wall with parkour stuff on it, at that point just parkour you way through this room, that's all there is to it. The door is on the far right corner of the room.
At the end you'll see a Gold Lootyagin. Before you can exit, you'll have to fight through 2 Belyashes. You can find them after exiting the elevator.
The Big Boy will solve all of your problems. (in-game)

Polygon 10

  • Kalash Extended Magazine
  • MP Collimator
  • Fat Boy Trap Mine
  • Dominator High-Intensity Modulators

The entrance is similar to the intro to Vavilov. You can use a dandelion on a farm building thing which reveals a hidden elevator.

This is the same intro as Polygon 9. Essentially what you need is the Polymer Jet Skill. ♥♥♥ a little on the button and watch the noor open.
Note: You can get through this door without Polymer Jet if you're fast enough and have the movement speed upgrade.
Surprise, this room has 2 intros. For the second one you'll notice that the door has 2 hall holders above it with one filled. What that means is that the more balls you have the longer the door will stay open. The second ball is to your right behind a glass window. You can't break it, instead you'll have to pick up the first ball, look up and throw it like Kobe O'Brien (God bless his soul) at the ball holder on the ceiling, that will cause the 2nd ball to roll towards you.
Note: You can still get through the door with just 1 ball, though you'll need the speed and 2 dashed upgrades. And be real fast. Gotta go fast man.
The room, the holder is up on the ceiling.
Ball, I love balls.

In this room you'll need 2 balls again for the door. The second can be found on a contraption near the far corner of the room. If you look up there will be 2 ball holder on the ceiling, these activate magnets.
  • There should be a ball somewhere around you (Prolly to your right somewhere), take it and throw it at the holder near the exit. This will let you raise the contraption holding the second ball.
  • Take the first ball again and throw it at the second holder near the entrance.
  • This will let you lower a platform so you can jump to the other side.
  • There, using magnets, take the elevator up and go towards the seconds ball and pick it up.
You will not be able to jump with the ball so instead throw it to the other side. (it won't explode)
Once you have 2 balls the door should be open for long enough for you to move through.
There will be a Bronze Lootyagin ahead of you.

Next up you'll have to get through this gate. There will be 2 zappers, one right and one left. The right opens the 1st door, meanwhile the left will open the 2nd door.
If you zap the left first, it will leave the 2nd door half open, enough for you to crawl under, that's the entire challenge.
After that, there will be a large room. You'll have to kill a few things and after that you can parkour to progress. Your goal are the yellow things on the wall, just get to them and once you're through the fence go down a hole.
There should be a Silver Lootyagin in front of you, or somewhere close.

The last challenge is a magnet room. Honestly these are piss easy and you shouldn't need a guide. Just get to the door. There might be a button you have to press to open the door.
There will be a Gold Lootyagin to your right.
Polygon 2

  • MP Electromagnetic Polarizer
  • KS-23 Expansive Converter
  • Kalash Thermal Imager
  • Snowball Polymeric Alloy Aerodynamic Attachment

There is another building with a blue roof just like Polygon 1. Just make sure to avoid all of the Rotorobots... creepy ♥♥♥♥♥...

🧀 Cheese
The first challenge is another spinner, now I will admit I am too stupid to solve these, however I am good at breaking them.
There is a way to parkour over the cabinet (screenshot below shows the combination I used.) to get through.
There will be a Bronze Lootyagin to your right.
Note: If you jump over, remember that you will not be able to go back and have to finish the chamber.
This is the config.
Jump on the bed.
Then on this barrel.
Last jump on the shelf and jump over.

Legit
So... turns out the legit way is even easier...
The first valve rotates manequins in the far contraption, one of those is a cabinet which is blocking your way. If you spin it once or 3 times it should leave the cabined in a rotation where you can pass trough.
You can move the large magnet to enter he room.
The 2nd valve controlls the rotation of the 2nd contraption, you want to make sure you select the one with the large green cabinet.

The Silver Challenge is a magnet room, which includes parkour. These are pretty simple, all you have to do is reach the vent on the other side. There is a button which lifts up a staircase which serves as a checkpoint for the 2nd half.
There should be a Silver Lootyagin to your right. To continue move the magnetized door.
Note: You can close it behind yourself otherwise you'll be locked out if you ever decide to come back (You know... in case you're making a Steam Guide...)
The last room is a magnet room. I don't think these need an explenation as they are pretty easy in general. Just get to the other side. You'll have to get above to cag eto jump down to the door, that's about it.
After that there shoudl be a Gold Lootyagin near the exit as always.

Polygon 11

  • Kalash Expansive Converter
  • MP Thermal Imager
  • KS-23 Damper-Polymer Stock
  • Fat Boy Homing Projectiles

The last 2 Facilities don't need you to use Dandelions to unlock a super special door, instead Polygon 11 has a different super duper mega special door. It's a revolutionary new gameplay mechanic called... a keycard.

Now where do we find a random ass keycard in the Soviet Union, well of course it's the large locked walled off building North-East of the entrance (on top of the cliff).

Legit
The main gate to the building is locked so we'll have to find our own way in.
To get in you'll have to dock the HAWK for maintenance, after which you can fly up into the air and down the zipline on top of the large building.
🧀 Cheese
A good enough alternative is climbing on top of a train right next to the wall and simply jumping over, it's a lot simpler than it looks. This way you can also disable the HAWK first which mean you won't have to deal with all of the enemies.

Once inside the keycard... cookie... whatever, will be in a brown shack by the main gate, sitting in a case next to a corpse.
Fun Fact: The lock on the main gate is the most complex colour combination in the entire game... or at least I wasn't able to find a more complicated one.
I'd say this is the most interesting Polygon out of all of them, as all of the challenges are pretty interesting.

The first challenge looks a bit tricky, but it is rather simple. Screenshots should make this easier to explain.
First you want to get a blue wall with an open door with the first valve, this will let you climb up and reach a second valve.
With the second valve you want to get an open door on the yellow wall.
You can go through, remember to dash midair. Once you're between the yellow and green platforms you want to jump down through a gap between them where you'll find another valve.
Watch out as you can get crushed by magnets and die :(
With the red door you again want to get an open door on the top, it can be a bit hard to see with this one just spin it a few times just to see where it is.
Once you go up (Really don't get crushed) there will be a hole which will let you get over the fence, with conveniently placed arrows.
On the red side you want to go through the red door which will lead to the exit.
Once that is over there should be a Bronze Lootyagin nearby.

The second challenge is pretty cool (get it?). You'll have to kill a couple of VOV-As but after that you want to put some balls into the 2 boilers on the other side of the room. You can just follow the pipes to find the balls.
One of the balls is in a building, you can enter it through the roof. There might be some VOV-A inside and the door will have a lock on it but overall this challenge is easy. I will say this room looks very pretty, not as cool as the submarine but still cool.
There should be a Silver Lootyagin nearby.

The last room is also super cool. It might feel a little overwhelming at first but once you figure it out it's pretty easy.
  • You'll see that there are 4 ball holders on the other side of the room with 2 balls filled. For every ball there is the walls will spin slower.
  • The 2 balls you want are to the right where you'll see a seperate wall spinner.
  • Standing in the door, you want to pick up a ball from its holder from afar, this will make the contraption stop spinning.
  • As you're holding the ball you want to go bakc to the large contraption.
  • To get the balls to the holder I recommend aligning your camera so the crosshair is slightly above the holder and stand near the edge.
  • Wait for the contraption to spin and once it finishes the spin, you want to walk forward and throw the ball before it spins again.
  • This will make it spin slower making the 2nd ball easier to land.
  • The second ball is where the first ball was, to the right through a hallway.
  • Repeat the ball throwing part.
Once there are 4 balls the contraption should spin significantly slower giving you time to get through the door.
Remember to dash through, there should be a Gold Lootyagin to your right.

Polygon 12

  • KS-23 Thermal Scope
  • Kalash Electrokinetic Stock
  • Fat Boy Revolver Loading Module
  • Electro Energy Vampire Module
  • Pashtet Reflex Blade

The last Polygon is in a cliff on the beach... that's it, I don't remember there being anything complicated. Just a nice walk on the beach... except for the parasites, ♥♥♥♥ them.

This challenge is pretty easy, you can use the valve to spin the big thingy so you can move some of the platforms up with magnets and get to the other side.
There will be a Bronze Lootyagin somewhere.

This challenge is a Boss Fight with the beautiful Natasha. The Big Boy should solve all of your problems. (Don't use explosives irl.. or do I don't care.)

The last challenge takes a few brain cells to solve, I know you're smart and this shouldn't be a problem for you.
If you need some help I'll give a brief explanation as to how things work.
The ball is important, the holder above the tube lets you use magnets, while the holder inside the magnet (to the left) spins the large platform.
  • First you want to spin the platform until there isn't a yellow door in the way.
  • After that you want to move the ball back and toggle the magnets to move the wall out of the way.
  • Then you'll be able to walk through. You'll want to go to your right and climb up to boxes and through the window. At the end you can open a shortcut back to the start. (this will be important.)
  • There is a similar setup on the other side of the puzzle. Put the ball back into the magnet to make the platform spin again, it should spin around 3 times. (What you're looking for is another yellow door (or rather a lack of) behind the fence to your left as you'll have to go through.).
  • Once you do that put the ball back into the first holder to be ale to influence magnets again and move to the other side.
  • By toggling magnets you should be able to move to the exit but the puzzle isn't finished quite yet.
  • Just like before you'd want to climb up to unlock a shortcut. You'll need the ball to open the door.
Once you're done, there should be a Gold Lootyagin in front of you.
For controlling magnets.
For the platform to spin.
Shortcut 1
2nd Half

Found a bit of a cheeseballs method of dealing with the Plyusch in Polygon 9. You can pull the Plyusch from inside the entry tunnel, as the Plyusch's one leg is visible enough and open enough to shoot with a fire enhanced shot. Leading him back to the safe room entrance and having him move to the side can get him hung up beside the stairs near the first power ball spawn point. He won't attack if you're not exposed enough, so you can polymer the ground and stairs beside him and ignite it to safely deal damage.
