10 TIPS!
1 - When you're in cover, your character reacts to things around it like an NPC would! Civilians, staff(green), technicians(scientists), and VIPs either run away when they're near gunfire or they'll start to cower. If you see one standing still and walking calmly nearby a gunfight; there's a good chance that's another agent! Security will have an exclamation point above their head and start shooting at the culprit while trying to find them.

2 - You can revive NPCs that have been shot! It can be a little finicky but if you crouch and look at them on the ground (I normally look at the belt line) you can pick them back up! Your character says a voice line and splashes water on their face too, just like NPCs do!

3 - Spy kits that drop off other spies give their Intel, some ammo, and some healing! Try to swoop in and grab it before someone else comes by, or snatch it yourself if you see another agent finish a fight to deny them the resources! If you come across one randomly on the ground, the spy who won that fight might still be around, so be careful if you decide to grab it.

4 - Ammo and food spawns are 1 time uses and very noticeable when taken! Try to avoid snacking too much in case another agent is watching. The healing and ammo stations are reusable but play an animation to show when someone is using them!

5 - Green rooms can have green, blue, and purple key cards spawn in them! Even though there aren't vaults in green rooms, they're still super worth it to check out.The gold keycard only has a chance to spawn in Purple rooms.

6 - Using the mimic device will drop any NPC aggression on you and allow you to build your cover back! (though this may be a bug/balanced later). Use it quickly after winning a gun fight if you're low health and have security shooting at you.

7 You can stop another agent who has the case from extracting by standing in the yellow circle around the getaway vehicle. This one might seem obvious but plenty of people seem to simply snipe from afar and refuse to fight up close to stop it. If someone IS sniping at you while you're trying to extract, mimicking into a box or chair can sometimes lower your hitbox well enough to not take damage.

8 - Cover reduces damage for a small window! You can't get head shot while in cover but you can still take quite a bit of damage. Sometimes it's better to land a body shot first and go for head-shots once they're vulnerable.

9 - If you forgot your gadgets somewhere or just want to be subtle, holding R will break your gadgets and return them to your inventory after a cooldown. (I know they say this in the tutorial but I absolutely missed that part and went 50+ games not knowing)

10 - NPCS don't normally jump! They can get stuck some places/glitch out occasionally but if you see one jumping around the road, through windows, or off high places... there's a really good chance that's an agent!

I just saw a player snatch a golden keycard out of that box in a staff room. Chances are slim, but possible I guess

I've had a Golden Keycard spawn for me in the Green room mystery box FYI, only happened once so far though.

Great tips by the way the devs released some news and hotfixes here is one of the interesting tidbits for new players:

"In addition to the recoil changes, we are making back-end changes that should result in a better match-making experience for newer players entering the game."

Yeah, emphasis on the 'don't normally' jump, because like GhostToast said, both my partner and I have had our cover blown assuming a one off jumper was an NPC.

Also, the whole reason I ended up in this discussion was bc I was trying to figure out how people were reviving NPCs lol! Thanks a lot

Of note is that no NPC will ever enter the purple security terminal rooms... Except the VIP on rare occasion, as I found out playing Silver Reef, attempting to melee a player next to the terminal, and finding out it was just an NPC.

NPC's have collision with other NPC's, an NPC will never walk right through another NPC, in fact, they'll actually move slightly out of the way and rub shoulders with each other whenever they're on the same path, specifically because they don't have collision with each other, this isn't a super reliable way to sniff out an agent, but it can be useful for calming your suspicion if you think an NPC is an agent

and like the person below me said, Spyglass can revive teammates at distance and even through walls sometimes

Green staff members will open drawers (and I think close them), So don't let them fool you into thinking they're a player, Guards/Civilians/Scientist however, will never open drawers, so if you see any NPC type that isn't a Green staff opening or closing a drawer, it's most likely a player
However, like you said, if you see ANYONE eat food, pick up ammo, or heal from heal stations, (I think you can even see people buy ammo from the ammo stations?) then that's a player

^To add to that even, If you're looking at a safe, and it says "In Use", it means someone around you is using it, this shows up in teamplay when your teammate is opening a safe, but it also shows up when an enemy agent is opening the safe as well, i've caught people in the room as me like this before, this doesn't work with doors.
