2. Start the game
   
3. Open the menu and click on the Save button (MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR OWN GAME!)
   
4. Click on the load button and select the file that you created in the first step
   
5. Go to your inventory and merge the special item (the one that looks like a branch).
   
6. Go to the boss cave
   
7. Defeat the ugly smiley boss to trigger a save and the achievement will pop-up
