Step 1: Tools
The tools you will need are as follows

1. GCFScape - https://nemstools.github.io/pages/GCFScape-Download.html

2. An Audio editing software. (I use Audacity, but if your gonna use something else make sure it exports in .WAV)

3. a legal copy of Military Conflict: Vietnam (I say this because you need to upload your mod to the workshop in order to use it and you should be supporting the devs)
Step 2: Preparation
Go to the file location of Military Conflict: Vietnam. by default it should be under

":(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Military Conflict - Vietnam\vietnam\"

In this folder, you will want to create a new folder where you will want to store all your mods. for mine, i have called it "custom" but you can call it something like "mods" or something like that. it doesn't really matter.

Step 3: finding and extracting the audio you want to replace.
now, launch GCFScape, and click the open file button.

navigate to ":(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Military Conflict - Vietnam\vietnam\". then scroll down until you find the file titled, pak01_dir.vpk. select this and open.

this is the directory of the game files.

here you will want to navigate into the sound folder. and locate the sound file you wish to change. for this example. we will use the AK-47. so go into :sound\weapons\weapon_ak47

upon finding the folder, you will want to right click it, and extract it to somewhere. preferably to a place that is easy to find. extraction shouldn't take any time at all.
Step 4: getting custom audio.
your custom audio can be found anywhere, weather you record it yourself, cut it from a movie clip or use stock audio. you just need to find audio.
Step 5: Editing audio
open up the file you extracted and load the first audio file into your audio editing software of choice. then, select the file you wish to use in its place. and open it into the same project.

we want to make sure our audio's length matches that of the original. if your audio file is too short, select the area from where it ends to where the original ends. then click on "generate" and then "silence". then when done, click in between the two clips to merge them.

Once complete, cut the new audio and paste it over the old one. and delete the blank track. then export it as a .WAV to a new folder. name the file the same as the original audio.

Repeat until all of the orignal files (or whatever sounds you want to replace) have been gone through and your clips are disignated as such.
Step 6: file Structure
now, once everything is complete. go back to the games directory, into the custom folder, and create a new folder with the name of your mod.

once complete, create a series of folder within one another. they should be titled,

"sound\weapons\weapon_ak47"

this will be the mods directory. it allows the game to select your new sounds instead of the originals.

once complete, paste your new sounds into the "weapon_ak47" folder.
Step 7: upload to the workshop
Your final step will be to upload your mod to the steam workshop.

launch MC:V, then navigate to the workshop menu, the to "upload Addon"

once here, click on the "browse" button where it says "folder name". navigate to your custom folder and select your mods file.

after, fill out the rest of the information, agree to the terms and conditions, and click publish. your mod should now be awaiting review. but you will still be able to access it by going to your profile and looking under "content" and "workshop items".
Notes.
if your mod is not working when you go to test it. it may be the result of one or multiple of these problems

- not having the mod mounted in your subscription menu ingame

- incorrect file or folder naming

- audio file is not a .WAV

these are the only problems I've faced personally, so if you have tried this and are still not getting the results you want then i'm unsure how to help.

Is there any way to just disable all voicelines? I'm going crazy trying to figure it out and it's really annoying to listen to ingame

Hello, I'm glad you made this quick guide.:sstbomb:

I just want to mention that the lenght of the custom sound can be longer or shorter than the original, It will still work.

Also, the File folder has to be named "custom" to work ; I tried some other name and It wont let me upload unless I call It "custom".
