Introduction:

Achievement Breakdown: (80)
Storyline Related: (9)
Missable: (27)
Collectibles: (4)

  • Dishonored is the first of three in an excellent trilogy. Most of the achievements doesn't take too much effort or time. There are no achievements for playing on different difficulties, because of this you can choose for yourself if you want to play on easy or go in for a real challenge with the hardest difficulty...

  • All the achievements are listed in the order that I obtained them in. Some of them can certainly be obtained earlier than when I got them. But I advise to not go too far off rails as to not lock yourself out of any choices and/or achievements.

  • There are several runes and bone charms to be found throughout the plague infected city. However, for achievements you will only need to get 10 bonecharms. This means you won't need to pick up any runes what so ever. There's also various paintings spread throughout the levels. This achievements cannot be obtained while playing non-lethal and we'll therefore focus on that in the second playthrough.

  • 1st Playthrough - Low Chaos: In this playthrough you will need to restrain from killing anyone and get detected. There's achievements that gets obtained from playing through the entire game this way and it's best to get these out of the way earlier than later. We will also need to restrain from buying/upgrading any skills. Meaning we can only use Blink as our skill.

  • 2nd Playthrough - High chaos: In this playthrough we will wreak havoc over the city and everyone who opposes us. We will complete all the side missions given to use from both Granny Rags and Slackjaw.

Without further ado, let's get into it.

*This guide contains story spoilers, reader beware!
Sequence 1: "Dishonored"
1. Mission: Dishonored, High Overseer Campbell, House of Pleasure, The Royal Physician
2. Achievements: 12/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Low Chaos Playthrough
Mission #1 - Dishonored:

Once "you're finally awake" you will have gotten a key hidden in your food. Pick it up and get out of your cell. Your goal now is literally just to escape from the prison since there's nothing special to be found on this level. Bypass the guards without killing or being detected by them, knocking them out is fine if done correctly... Make your way to the explosive device and make a permanent save. Now activate the device and as soon as it detonates, run and jump out into the water face first. This ensures that you don't get spotted. However, if you do, just reload your save and try again...

Go through the sewers now and look out for all the traps. Once making it out of the sewers to the other side you'll meet Samuel.

Achievement #1 - Vanished: You escaped prison and navigated the sewers undetected
- After having reached the boat at the end of the mission you'll unlock this achievement. This is assuming you never got seen/detected during the mission...

Achievement #2 - Dishonored: Complete the Intro missions
- When you arrive at the Hound Pits Pub you will get this achievement.

Mission #2 - High Overseer Campbell:

*Before the mission starts you will talk to Callista about her uncle Curnow and she will ask you to save his life. We'll need to do this for an achievement.

Your first task should simply be to eliminate the target by non-lethal ways. You can do this by using the infamous Heretic's Brand on Campbell. First, you need to make your way to the archives room inside of the Overseer's house. Inside, you can find a book which describes how the branding process works. Get yourself the key to the interrogation room from a nearby guard and use it to the find the iron needed for the branding.

Make your way to the room where the Overseer will meet with Callista's uncle Curnow. You will see two wine glasses. For the purpose of this non-lethal playthrough, we'll topple both glasses. Once the two get inside make a save. When they reach the glasses, sleep dart Campbell first and then aim in on Curnow during the slow-motion. After they both go unconsious carry them outside, behind where they were standing and to the right. There will be a closed off area here that is safe for them to sleep. Save again and carry the Overseer to the interrogation room and brand him a traitor. When you've done so just leave him in his chair and return the location we stashed Curnow.

Achievement #3 - Excommunication: Eliminate High Overseer Campbell
- Eliminating Campbell by any means necessary you will get this achievement.

Carry Curnow to the mission marker, which is a dumpster, and throw him in there to save him. Was there really no other safe place?

Achievement #4 - Occultist: Collect 10 bone charms
- Collect 10 bone charms. There's plenty more but only 10 are needed.

Now make your way back to Samuel's boat and get the hell out of there. This will unlock a few achievements;

Achievement #5 - Faceless: After escaping Coldridge Prison, complete a single mission without alerting anyone
- If you didn't alert anyone you will get this achievement once the mission has been completed.

Achievement #6 - Specter: After escaping prison, complete a mission without alerting anyone, and kill less than 5 people
- If you also killed less than 5 people you will get this achievement.

Since we're going for a non-lethal, no kills, no detection playthrough, these are mandatory to get at this point.

Achievement #7 - Bodyguard: You protected Callista's uncle, Captain Geoff Curnow
- If you put Curnow's body in the dumpster and saved him you will get this achievement. I'm not sure if it unlocks right after the mission or once you get back to the pub to talk to Callista. Either way, you will get it sooner or later...

Mission #3 - House of Pleasure:

Start the next mission and go to the Distillery. Talk with Slackjaw to accept his first side mission. Go to the doctor's house just like the side mission says. But beware of the assassins lurking the rooftops. Get inside the house and grab the soundfile on the top floor. Give the soundfile to Slackjaw to get his next mission. He will instruct you to get the code the Art Dealer's safe. Head to the Golden Cat where the Art Dealer is located. Get inside the Silver Room to find him in a rather strange situation. Torture him enough to get the safe code. Before going back to Slackjaw, enter the Art Dealer's house and sneak past all the thugs inside. Enter the code for the safe. Head back to the Distillery and give Slackjaw the code to the safe.

Achievement #8 - The Art of the Steal: You got the Art Dealer's safe combination for Slackjaw, but robbed the safe first
- After giving Slackjaw the code for the safe you will get this achievement, (If you looted it first). This will result in the targets getting neutralized by non-lethal means.

Get back to the Golden Cat. Grab the key and learn the location of Emily and get her out of there.

Achievement #9 - Child Care: Find Emily Kaldwin
- After fleeing with Samuel and Emily you will get this achievement.

Mission #4 - The Royal Physician

When you arrive to the location, head towards the bid bridge. Your task now is to get on top of it. It's quite easy to do with your blink ability. Don't worry if you're struggling to get it, you can come back here in the second playthrough when you can buy upgrades which can make it significantly easier for some.

Achievement #10 - King of the World: You reached the top of Kaldwin's Bridge
- After reaching the top of the big bridge you will get this achievement.

On the way to Sokolov's hideout you will see some Overseers with a music box. This is a new enemy who disables all assassins use of skills and such when within range. After reaching Sokolov knock him out or put him to sleep and carry him all the way to Samuel to end the mission.

Achievement #11 - Capturing Genius and Madness: Complete the Bridge mission
- Abducting Sokolov gives you this.

Achievement #12 - Surgical: Play from the first mission through Kaldwin's Bridge killing fewer than 10 characters
- Missable. Needed for non-lethal playthrough...
Sequence 2: "Embrace the Shadows"
1. Mission: Lady Boyle's Last Party, Return to the Tower, The Flooded District, The Loyalists, The Light at the End
2. Achievements: 25/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission #5 - Lady Boyle's Last Party:

Sneak into the party using any means necessary. You can sneak in using the guard quarters, or picking up an invitation dropped by a female quest near the main entrance. If you looted the Art Dealer's safe you should've gotten an invitation to this party from there. Either way, get inside and blend in.

Most of the people inside carry alot of coin... Pick pocket a few.

Achievement #13 - Thief: Pickpocket items worth a total of 200 coins
- After having pickpocketed => 200 coins you will get this achievement.

Now for the disposing of the target... Talk to Miss White who should be somewhere around the dining area. For me she was talking to someone in the room next to the main room with the wall of light. Take her sidequest and she will tell you who is the target, Lady Boyle. Find Lord Brisby and he will tell you of the non-lethal way of neutralizing the target. Find the target and knock her out. I talked to her and we went upstairs, where we were all alone. Now carry her down the winecellar and to Brisby who is going to take off on a boat with the target.

Exit the mansion and head for Samuel's boat. The gates to the boat will be closing to quickly swim and blink your way past it. Alternatively you can move past the entire gate which takes a longer time.

Achievement #14 - Well Mannered: You completed the Boyle Estate mission without spoiling the party
- When you exit the level and if you neutralized the target without causing any trouble for the quests you'll unlock this achievement.

Mission #6 - Return to the Tower:

The only thing we need to do on this mission is to eliminate the target, the Lord Regent, by non-lethal means.

Get inside the palace from the main door and blink up on the chandeliers in the middle. Head to the right here and you will find stairs going upwards in a spiral-ish manner. There's an Arc Pylon in the middle preventing you from continuing from this point. You need to hide behind a pillar and blink to the next and take the stairs down. At the bottom you can de-activate the Arc Pylon. Head up to the very top and you will meet a guy who will tell you how to neutralize the Lord Regent without killing him. Get back in the main hall and up to the chandeliers. Blink up to the balcony separate to the main door. Find the safe inside and open it with the code you've been given, 935. Get the tape from the safe and broadcast it using the console back where you came from.

- After exposing Hiram and getting him arrested you will get this achievement.

Escape from the island with Samuel...

- Missable. If you neutralized all the targets so far using non-lethal all the way, you will get this achievement.

Find an empty whale oil tank to the right of a bridge and fill it to lower the bridge and descend to the bottom where your gear is waiting for you.

Achievement #17 - This Is Mine: Recover your belongings
- Getting your gear back gets you this achievement.

Move onto Daud's headquarter. Moving high up and avoid all the guards. Blink in to steal Daud's key and the bone charm that he carries, but do not kill him.

Go through the level silently and find out about Emily's whereabouts. Use Samuel's flare signal to escape the level.

Mission #9 - The Light at the End:

This level is very straight forward; Simply get up to the very top of the tower. After reaching the elevator which takes you up you can either find a key on a nearby guard or enter the elevator from a hatch on the top of it. Knock Haverick out and get his key to free Emily.

Achievement #19 - Mercy is the Mark: You saved Empress Emily Kaldwin
- After saving Emily from Haverick you will get this achievement.

If you played through the game while:

2. Achievements: 38/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After you plant the bomb however, turn around and face off against the rushing enemies. Kill them all before jumping into the river.

- Get close to the water and simply take possession of a fish to get this achievement.

Go around the Distillery District and silently knock 5 of Slackjaw's crew and pile them up in a stack. Make another save

Achievement #36 - Manipulator: Make others kill 5 of their own allies
- Missable. You'll first want to get one of the other thugs on your tail. Once you have, get them to the pile of bodies. Eventually, they'll spit fire towards you. If you stood correctly, they'll also have caused some fire damage to their unconscious buddies, effectively killing them. Reload if it doesn't work.

Achievement #37 - Hornets' Nest: Kill 4 enemies in less than 1 second using the crossbow
- Reload your save where the bodies are still piled up unharmed. Pull out your crossbow and slow down the time to be able to rapidly fire bolts and kill the bodies. If it's done successfully you should get this achievement. However, it can be a bit buggy.

Before proceeding with the assassination of the targets, head over to the Art Dealer's apartment. Inside, get inside the safe. The codes vary from save to save. here's all the possibilities:
8-7-9, 1-3-8, 6-5-6, 6-7-9, 6-9-6, 3-2-7.

Once you have at least five enemies after you, either go stealth and hide away from then (on the second floor of the pub perhaps), or blink up to the roof. An achievement in the DLC "The Brigmore Witches" requires you to complete the game on low chaos with 10.000 coins in your possession. When you start that DLC you can import your save from this DLC. To make that achievement easier you should try to get as much money as possible during your high chaos playthrough (it's easier to get money there) to prevent the need to get almost all coins in the brigmore witches, since there's only 7,705 coins in the entire DLC.

High Chaos Playthrough
Mission #1 - A Captain of Industry

A little ways into the first chapter, you can find some imprisoned workers outside of the slaughterhouse. They will tell you where the key to the cell is located. Go to the warehouse opposite of the cage and pick up the arc mines lying on a table inside. (It's advised to save here in case you mess up). To get the achievement, simply stick an arc mine to a rat and lure some guards to it.

Achievement #58 - Rats and Ashes: Attach an arc mine to a rat, resulting in a kill
- When a guard gets killed from the mine you will get this achievement.

Mission #2 - Eminent Domain

No achievements on this mission...

Mission #3 - The Surge

When you're tasked with freeing your assassins, blink on top of the big statue located just right of Daud's office window. Make a quicksave in case you mess up... Wait until a guard is right under the statue and jump.

Achievement #59 - Message from the Empress: Perform a drop assassination from atop the Empress statue in The Knife of Dunwall
- Perform a drop assassination on a guard when in the air to unlock the achievement.

Next, complete the mission and the DLC while killing some guards to gain high chaos.

Achievement #60 - No Regrets: Complete The Knife of Dunwall in High Chaos
- Missable. Completing the DLC with high chaos gets this achievement.
Sequence 7: "The Brigmore Witches"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Mission: Choosing Your Mark x2, A Stay of Execution for Lizzy x2, The Dead Eels x2, Delilah's Masterwork x2
2. Achievements: 70/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the low chaos playthrough we'll once again complete it without killing anyone or getting spotted a single time...

*Since we'll need to finish this game with at least 10'000 coins on low chaos, we'll save the favors for the high chaos playthrough. Just simply ignore them when they're offered.

*I highly suggest following this guide to make sure you get enough coins for the highly missable achievement.

Low Chaos Playthrough
Mission #1 - Choosing Your Mark

In the start of the chapter, right after the cutscene, you will have a dream sequence in which Daud and Corvo fights. If you hit him a few times, hence attempting to kill him.

Achievement #61 - Parting Shot: Deliver (or attempt) the killing blow on Corvo
- you will get this achievement after a quick cutscene. It is possible to miss the achievement if you completely ignore Corvo and simply letting him kill you.

Mission #2 - A Stay of Execution for Lizzy

Achievement #62 - Breakout: Break Lizzy Stride out of Coldridge Prison
- Story related, can't be missed.

Mission #3 - The Dead Eels

Achievement #63 - Gangs of Dunwall: Restore the Undine to working condition
- story related, can't be missed

Mission #4 - Delilah's Masterwork

Achievement #64 - Cleanest Hands: Complete The Brigmore Witches without killing anyone
- Missable.

Achievement #65 - Silence is Golden: Complete The Brigmore Witches without alerting anyone
- Missable.

Achievement #66 - Enough Coin to Disappear: Survive The Brigmore Witches in low chaos with 10,000 coins
- Missable.

Achievement #67 - Changed Ways: Complete The Brigmore Witches in Low Chaos
- Missable. Going through the level unnoticed and without killing people will make sure you get the low chaos ending.

High Chaos Playthrough
*The only thing to look out for really is getting the favors at the start of every round (which will be noted down below on each mission), and also to get the "Wall of Flesh" achievement which requires you to get the Pull power to level 2. Then you'll need to simply hold an enemy in front of another, while that other enemy is attacking you, effectively making the one you're holding a shield, or a wall of flesh.

Achievement #68 - Wall of Flesh: Use an enemy lifted with Pull as a shield[/b]
- As explained above...

Mission #2 - A Stay of Execution for Lizzy

Favor #1: Overseer Daud - 100 coins

Favor #2: Misplaced Rune - 200 coins

Favor #3: Forged Requisition - 100 coins

Mission #3 - The Dead Eels

Favor #4: The Sunken Crate - 100 coins

Favor #5: The Hidden Rune - 200 coins

Mission #3 - Delilah's Masterwork

Favor #6: Hole in the Fence - 200 coins

Favor #7: Thieving Butler - 75 coins

Favor #8: Turncoat - 50 coins

Achievement #69 - Deal Maker: Purchase at least 8 favors in The Brigmore Witches
- Missable. Getting at least 8 favors will grant you this achievement.

Achievement #70 - All Come To Ruin: Complete The Brigmore Witches in High Chaos
- Missable. Breaking havoc and killing people will make sure you get the high chaos ending.

Sequence 9: "Challenges Part 1"
1. Mission: Mystery Foe, Burglar, Back Alley Brawl
2. Achievements: 72/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mystery Foe
Achievement Strategy:
For this achievement, you'll need to complete the challenge without using any supernatural powers. While this may sound really difficult, there's actually a pretty easy cheese method. - Enter the level and sneak up on the first guard in front of you. Kill this guard until he will have been the target to succesfully complete the challenge and the achievement.

Achievement #71 - Natural Talent: Finish Mystery Foe without using any active supernatural powers
- While this achievement can be achieved legitimately, the cheese method listed above greatly simplifies the achievement (Believe me, I tried doing it legit).

3-Star Strategy:
In order to get the 3 stars on this challenge, you'll need to pick up 2 or 3 clues and succesfully take out the target undetected. This means that you'll need to guess who the target is, since you won't get the last clue. If you do this quickly enough, you should get all the necessary bonuses required to gain the full 3 stars.

Doll Location:
The first doll can be located in a very white bedroom. To get there, go right from where you spawn and then enter a door to the right of a hallway here. Once inside, blink up to the rock pillar and pick up the doll lying here.

Burglar
3-Star Strategy:
In order to maximise your points, get into the mansion and silently collect all the eggs. This increases your point multiplier.

Start by go through the back door to the right from your starting point, marked by an arrow. Descend the steps to the left, then navigate right and utilize Blink to reach the Door. Once inside, pause at the first door encountered. Two guards are on this floor: one guard follows a clockwise patrol, while the other moves between the main room and the stairs. Utilize Dark Vision to identify clear moments, then proceed to the main room to the left to collect the two Eggs located on this floor. Get up the stairs now to the second floor.

Don't go up all the way as there are two guards up here. A way you can go about it is to wait for one of the guards to walk over to the right of the stairs and sneak up to the nearby egg in a display case when the coast is clear. Head through the door to the left of the display case. Go through another door and hide under the table in the hallway here to avoid the coming enemy. Once he's passed, fetch the fourth egg and head back to the stairs to ascend them again.

Skip the third floor for now...

Get up to the fourth floor and stop at the end of the staircase as there will be guards patrolling here. I completed this floor by first waiting for a guard to pass by the area where you are and knocking the other guard there unconsious. Then, carry him into the main room, making sure the third guard is on the balcony and not in the main room, and hide under a table for safety. Make your way to the right of the main room towards one of the eggs and hide the body there. Get the key for the room to the last egg which is located on a table near the entrance you came through. Now enter the room to the left of the main room and grab the egg.

Conclude by carefully going through the entire house and grabbing all the loot you can find. Use Dark Vision to see loot easier. Be careful as some guards have changed routes and locations. When you've gained the required amount of coins for the 3 stars (30'000 points), exit the level by getting back to the start.

Doll Location:
The doll is located in the secret room on the third floor.

Back Alley Brawl
3-Star/Achievement Strategy:
This achievement combines achieving a 3-star rating with a challenging task: personally eliminating every enemy before Wave 13. It's a significant step up in difficulty. The catch is that enemies are often from different factions and can attack each other, causing you to fail if any enemy is killed by another. Success requires both skill and luck. If you at any point of the challenge happen to miss killing someone, keep going for the 3 stars and come back to the achievement later on. It can become frustrating.

These are the amounts of kills you will need to have after each wave in order to get the achievement:
Wave 1: 3
Wave 2: 6
Wave 3: 10 (Merchant)

Wave 4: 14
Wave 5: 18
Wave 6: 23 (Merchant)

Wave 7: 27
Wave 8: 31
Wave 9: 37 (Merchant)

Wave 10: 42
Wave 11: 47
Wave 12: 53 (Merchant)

Achievement #72 - By My Hand Alone: Get to Wave 13 in Back Alley Brawl killing all combatants personally
- This achievement is rather difficult and may require multiple retries.

Doll Location:
Get up on the small metal roof just in front of your spawn and get onto the floating metal pieces to its left. Blink up to the chain and then to another chain, walk along it all the way to its top and you will be able to blink to the doll to your right.
Sequence 10: "Challenges Part 2"
1. Mission: Assassin's Run, Oil Drop
2. Achievements: 73/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Assassin's Run
3-Star/Achievement Strategy:
Get into the first room and blink up to the right on a pillar. Carefully take out all the targets with headshots. If the assassins try to find you, it'll be harder to hit them with headshots.

Get into the second room and blink up to the bookcase closest to you. The targets can spawn in various locations. If one spawn to the left, one in the middle near a civilian, and one in the back of the room, take out the one in the middle as the other ones won't see him fall, then take out the others the way you like. If two spawn in the middle it will be harder but still doable. If this is the case, take out the lonely guard and wait for the guards to stand still and take them out. If they find you and try to attack you, get up on the other bookcase and wait for them to stand still to easily take them down.

Get into the third room and wait a little bit for the weepers to get to the middle of the room. Blink up to the bookcase and don't crouch as that makes the weepers slowly move toward you for some reason. Wait for them to vomit/cough and shoot them with a headshot safely.

Wait on the doorway to the fourth and use Dark Vision. Aim in on the head of the assassin to the left and slowly enter the room. As you enter, the doors will open. Quickly kill the left most assassin with a headshot and head into the small room they spawned in and get up on the small bookcase to the right of the room and wait for the remaining assassin to throw a dagger at you. After he does, you can safely shoot him without him moving if you're quick enough.

For the next room, firstly shoot the left most assassin with a simple headshot.

Aim at same spot as in the screenshot and shoot the assassin just as he is about to step under the reticle to kill him with a clean headshot. This is by far the hardest part of this challenge in my opinion.

Get into the next room and carefully shoot the two targets. With patience, this room is easy enough.

For the last room, you can either do it legitimately or skip it altogether. In order to skip it, get on top of the bookcase to the left of the exit door and walk through the wall and blink towards the other side of the door to trigger the challenge to end.

Achievement #73 - Headhunter: Complete Assassin's Run with 100% accuracy using only head shots
- If you succesfully completed the challenge with 100% accuracy and only head shots for kills, you will get this achievement. While you don't need to kill all enemies, you'll just need to kill all enemies that you do with headshots and not miss a single shot or hit any body shots.

Doll Location: This is located in the little room the weepers come out of. On the top of a shelf.

Oil Drop
3-Star Strategy:
This is by far one of the easiest challenges and doesn't require much explaining. Your goal is to shoot whale oil tanks out of the air before they hit the ground. The challenge only ends once the player dies.

Doll Location:
To the right of where you spawn is a bush, the doll is lying in here.
Sequence 11: "Challenges Part 3"
1. Mission: Bend Time Massacre
2. Achievements: 74/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bend Time Massacre
3-Star/Achievement Strategy:
Getting the 3 stars on this challenge is rather easy, but for the achievement however, you'll need to complete the entire challenge without failing a single wave, including the bonus rounds which can be challenging. The bonus rounds only give you 1000 points for completing them, so don't bother killing more targets than necessary.

Round One: Go to the guard to the right of where you spawn and shoot him through the window. Grab the oil tank and throw it at the two guards closest to you and lastly shoot or stab the guard at the other end of the room.

Round One Bonus - Blunt Force Trauma: For this challenge, you can only use items lying around. Grab the brick and throw it at the same window as in the last round. Grab it mid air and throw it at the closest guard to kill him. Grab the oil tank again and throw it at the two guards closest to you.

Round One Bonus - Execution: This challenge is different from the previous as you need to save the Art Dealer by taking out the guard. Get into the room by throwing the jar at the window. Once inside, catch the guards bullet from mid air and shoot him with that bullet. This kills the guard and prevents the Art Dealer from dying, successfully completing the challenge.

Round Two: Move towards the nearest window. Watch for a guard passing by, heading towards the group near the middle. As the guard approaches them, aim and shoot the speaker at the top of the room to make it fall on them. Run along the room to the right and shoot the two guards you come across to kill them as well.

Round Two Bonus - Agenda: This can be tricky as you'll need to kill three nobles without harming any of the guards. Just wait until the guards aren't near the nobles in the middle of the room and put down a spring razor in the middle of the crowd.

Round Two Bonus - Propaganda: You need to drop a speaker to kill 6 enemies. You can wait until one of the guards is within range of the speaker's blast radius and shoot at the speaker to start the timer. Posses the other two guards to also be just below the speaker and wait for the time to go out.

Round Three: Enter the room and immediately pick up the nearby oil tank, throw it at the table sitting in the middle of the room and conclude by shooting the remaining guards standing on both sides of the table.

Round Three Bonus - Patience: Basically the same as the normal round but you're not allowed to kill anyone before the time bend ends. Get the oil tank like before and place it in the middle of the table. Hit it once with your gun and shoot the remaining guards outside of the blast area with either your gun or crossbow.

Round Three Bonus - Pincushion: For this challenge, you need to hit the Art Dealer with four arrows... and each arrow need to travel through glass. It's actually easier than it sounds. Simply wait for him to stop moving and fire the first arrow to start the timer. Simply run to the other panes of glass and shoot the arrows at him. Don't forget to push them in with your body since the time is paused...

Round Four: Use grenades and the oil tank to kill quickly kill the people in the main room around the table and go up the small stairs to the right to either shoot or slice the remaining people up here.

Round Four Bonus - Surgical: For this challenge you need to kill all the three Pendleton brothers without anyone seeing them die or finding their bodies. Wait for one of the brothers to stand still in front of a table up the stairs and use possession to get the remaining brothers really close to him. With them all close to each other, place a spring razor on the ground next to them.

Round Four Bonus - Blood for Oil: You need to kill ten people in just 6 seconds. Get inside and use the first oil tank to kill the people to the left of the table. Shoot the tank right in front of you next to make it explode. This will likely kill enough people in the given time frame.

Round Five: This challenge can be quite challenging as you'll need to kill people in two separate rooms. Go to the above room and use a sticky grenade on the ground near the group of people on the left. Go to the first room now and and hit the speaker to kill a minimum of three people. Conclude by shooting the remaining guards in this room.

Round Five Bonus - Hot Potato: For this challenge you are tasked with killing High Overseer Campbell with a whale oil tank. You also don't have any weapons with you... Go to the room in which the target is located in and break the glass with a jar to start the timer. Quickly go to the first room to grab the tank and go back to the other room and throw it at the target.

Round Five Bonus - Prejudice: You'll have sixteen seconds to kill six guards in two separate rooms. Start by waiting for the three in the upper room to group together and throw a grenade at them. Next, go to the lower room and shoot/stab the remaining targets.

Round Six: Go to the lower room and shoot an explosive pistol round once the guards are close to the group of people. After that, run to the middle room and throw a grenade towards the left side of the room, then grab the whale oil tank and throw it at the middle of the table. Finish by stabbing the rest of the enemies up the stairs.

Round Six Bonus - Process of Elimination: Go through the glass and kill the two guards inside. Next, go down the stairs and start stabbing as many people as possible around the main table.

Round Six Bonus - Hero: This challenge is different as you're supposed to save people instead of killing people. There are three oil tanks you need to take care of in order to succesfully save all the people. Go into the first room and throw the nearby tank outside. Run downstairs, grab the second oil tank and return to the first window to dispose of it. Get into the last room and hit the glass inside, then throw the tank outside. Challenge complete!

Achievement #74 - Time Management: Finish Chain Kill or Bend Time Massacre without failing any wave, including bonuses
- The solutions for each round I have listed are just to simplify the challenge and more easily get the achievement. Each round has multiple solutions, so feel free to complete it as you wish.

Doll Location: Go to the right side of the building. Keep running until you reach the end. Look ahead and you'll see two metal platforms floating in the air. Jump onto them carefully, then look up and to the right to find a big metal beam. Climb onto it and run back onto the roof of the building. Go to the right side of the roof where you'll find more floating platforms. Cross them to reach the furthest one, where you'll find the Doll sitting.
Sequence 12: "Challenges Part 4"
1. Mission: Kill Chain, Bonfires
2. Achievements: 75/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kill Chain
3-Star Strategy:
Round One: There's a guard standing directly underneath a speaker. Posses the other two guards and place them just next to him. Finish the round by shooting the speaker, killing all of the targets.

Round Two: In this round there are two enemies standing together to the left. Posses the other three enemies and get all of them in a group of five. Grab the nearby whale oil tank and drop it by the group. Go up the stairs to the last remaining enemy before shooting the tank with a crossbow shot. Conclude by the guy just next to you up the stairs here.

Round Three: In the final round needed for the 3 stars, there will once again be a group of three to the left up top, and another group of three down bottom. Start by adding three enemies from the bottom to the group of three, this leaves a single target left alone. Lay a tank on the group of six, a tank on the single person, and finally a tank on the group of three up the stairs. Get up the stairs and use the crossbow to explode the two whale oil tanks at the bottom, before switching out to your pistol and shooting the final tank next to the group of three next to you up the stairs.

Doll Location: Head down the stairs on the right and get to the end of the metal tracks to the right. Look down at the edge where the track stops and you will see some rocks you can drop to. Do so and turn left to find a hidden passage. Get in there and the doll will be lying on the floor to the right.

Bonfires
3-Star Strategy:
In order to get the 3 stars you'll need to traverse from beam to beam as fast as possible. The placement of the beams is random and you'll need luck to get good spawns. There's a 30 second timer which constantly goes down. However, after touching each beam of light, a set amount of time will be added that decreases over time.

Achievement Strategy:
This is a painful achievement that requires you to complete all of the six 'tricky jumps'. These are basically specific combination jumps. They're really difficult to explain and equally difficult to follow them from text. I highly recommend following this extremely helpful guide.

Achievement #75 - Daredevil: In Bonfires, perform all the special combination jumps in 1 round
- This achievement is heavily based on luck as the spawns are random. Getting from beam to beam will maximise your points and getting the 'fast' bonus.

Doll Location: Get to the big titlted building and you'll see a floating island up ahead. Spring towards it and double jump to succesfully get on top of it. The doll is leaning towards the tree up here.
Sequence 13: "Challenges Part 5"
1. Mission: Train Runner, Kill Cascade
2. Achievements: 78/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Train Runner
3-Star/Achievement Strategy:
Blink straight ahead over the table to the other side of it. Double jump off this platform to the right side of the yellow metal floating thing and land on the other side. Blink forwards and get up on the doorframe up ahead just next to the train tracks. Wait for the train to pass by and blink on to it. get to its front and blink onto a platform just above the exit with a sign saying "HALT, AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY". Quickly get down and blink through the exit door to exit the level.

Achievement #76 - Assassin Vs. Machine: Complete Train Runner before the train arrives at the station
- Getting this achievement should also give you 3 stars.

Doll Location:
Get to the doorframe and enter a purple opening to its right. In it's inner right corner above a painting sits the doll.

Kill Cascade
3-Star/Achievement Strategy:
This achievement requires you to skip most of the intended targets. This might seem counterintuitive but the trick to this challenge is to get air assassinations from as high up as possible. If done correctly, both the 3 stars and the achievement will be unlocked.

Walk out and look to the left for a yellow beam. double jump to it and blink straight forward to land on him and get the first air assassination. Blink over the gap in front of you and double jump to a boat floating just ahead. Look for a right beam to your right. When ready, sprint off the boat and double jump towards the beam to perform the next assassination.

Get down to the grass area just below. Make your way across the top of some rocks to the left and you'll be overlooking a ruined building. Blink to a wooden board near the top of it, then climb a wall to land on the other side of it. Blink over to a broken wall in front of a red beam. Ready yourself and blink to get to the red beam way below you.

Achievement #77 - Long Way Down: Perform a drop assassination of at least 150 meters in the Kill Cascade challenge
- Be sure to properly center yourself so to not break the fall before being able to get the last drop assassination.

Doll Location:
Make your way long the level the normal way, not the achievement method listed above, and stop when you reach the last drop. You'll see a sign nearby saying "DUNWALL". Look up to the left above the drop and you will see a train cart. Blink to it and the doll is sitting inside to your left.

Achievement #78 - Mrs Pilsen's Remorse: Find Emily's doll hidden in each of the 10 challenges
- Find the hidden doll in each of the 10 challenges to achieve this.
Sequence 14: "Challenges (Expert)"
1. Mission: Mystery Foe, Burglar, Back Alley Brawl, Bonfires, Train Runner, Kill Cascade
2. Achievements: 80/80
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Any levels not mentioned doesn't have an expert level.

Mystery Foe
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
The only difference here is that all the npcs are now on Very Hard difficulty, but honestly, it's not that much more difficult. Just follow the same strategy as in the normal version.

Burglar
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
The expert strategy is basically the same as the normal mode. The only real difference is the lack of your powers, which makes it more annoying to get through. Some loot has also been moved around, and the safe requires a code which can be found on the third floor by the window. There will be three numbers that you written around the area.

Achievement Strategy:
This achievement requires you to collect 16 figurines hidden on this level. It's different than the other achievements, as it can only be done on Expert Mode.

First Floor:
1. On a barrel in the room that the back door leads to.
2. Just to the left of the previous one is a locker. The figurine is inside behind Processed Whale Oil.
3. Enter through a door close by and enter the kitchen. To the right is a cabinet and the figurine is in the right corner of the bottom shelf here.
4. Behind the door close to the Redmoor Egg. It's on a bunk to the left as you enter.
5. In a locker in the back of the same room.

Second Floor:
6. Located in the guest room. Turn right after coming up from the stairs. It's on a nightstand.
7. Near a fireplace close to the balcony exit. On the ground just on the left side behind the cover.
8. In a cabinet in the storeroom.
9. On a wooden crate next to the safe.

Third Floor:
10. Floating between the collapsing windows.

Fourth Floor:
11. Fireplace next to the staircase, on top of a small ledge. You can stand on the nearby mounted beast head in order to reach it.
12. On a bookshelf, right side of the staircase.
13. Immediately to the left of the door you can go through near the last two collectables.
14. On very top of a bookshelf near the fireplace. Climb onto the white chair to get up on the bookcase itself in order to reach it.
15. Just next to a sink in the bathroom.
16. Next to the main bed. Lying on the floor to the left of the bed, and close to a cabinet.

Achievement #79 - Rare Collector: Find all of the collectable figurines in Burglar on Expert
- Once you've picked up all 16 of these thingys, you'll unlock it.

Back Alley Brawl
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
Just like with the two previous challenges, the strategy is the exact same as with normal version. The differences here being that the combat is in Very Hard mode and all enemies will "spot" you right as a wave starts.

Bonfires
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
Getting this is next-level rage-inducing and I wish I could help you but it's just the same strategy as before but with Assassins trying to stop you, which is alot harder than it sounds. I did it legitimately after 4 hours or so, BUT if you'd wish to make it easier for yourself there's a way/glitch to remove all of the assassins. Here's how to do it:

"This glitch is SUPER EASY to replicate. Open up the trial, as soon as you read "go" (3,2,1,go), press 'pause' and 'restart challenge'. Repeat for 25 minutes. You will see the assassins disappear. I replicated this glitch TWICE on two separate accounts and in both cases it occured at exactly 25 minutes, though you can keep it longer if it doesn't happen (which it probably will). After you nail it, it will thankfully remain glitched in your favor no matter how many times you restart the challenge, as long as you don't quit to the main menu. One more thing, press pause when 'GO' appears and not immediately after '1'. If you restart the challenge the instant the option becomes available, it will have the undesirable effect of simply changing the assassins' positions and when you do that you can't do the glitch, unless you quit to menu and enter the challenge again to try for another 25 minutes. So basically wait half a second after GO appears, restart checkpoint, repeat for 25 minutes, and try as long as you want without quitting to the main menu."

*This was taken from a youtube comment of this video.

Train Runner
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
While it's supposedly "way harder" than the original, I thought it was really easy, took me just a few tries. The factors making this slightly harder are that your mana is now limited (and also you start with a random amount for some reason? starting, using it all up, and starting again will guarantee you more for some reason, probably a glitch), and assassins will also be in your way. However, using the mana "glitch" will greatly help in avoiding the assassins efficiently. Once that's done follow this route: (it's a bit different from the normal one.)

Start the run and immediately double jump over the first overhang. Keep running and slide under the second overhang to the right. Continue forward until you reach the first spinning wheel. Double jump and Blink through its gaps — do this quickly, or the rooftop Assassin will hit you.

Land near the second spinning wheel and jump through it. Ahead, you’ll see another Assassin. Ignore him — instead, look above him for a blue pipe. Blink up to it, move forward slightly to avoid hitting your head, then climb to the next pipe level. Turn around, double jump, and Blink onto the moving train before it passes. This is the trickiest part, so practice the timing.

Once on the train, sprint forward and double jump to the middle cart. Press right on the D-pad to equip your pistol and shoot the whale oil on the left to disable the Wall of Light. Press down on the D-pad to switch back to Blink, crouch under the overhead sign, then sprint to the front car.

Blink onto the overhead platform with the Assassins, then Blink forward again or run off before they can attack. Once you're on the ground past them, Blink or run straight into the white light to finish the section.

Kill Cascade
Expert 3-Star Strategy:
Great riddance! Once again an expert level which is pretty much exactly the same as the normal one. Just follow the same steps.

Achievement #80 - Void Star: You completed all Normal and Expert challenges with a 3-Stars rating
- Completion of the final expert level at 3 stars will net you the final achievement of Dishonored.
Conclusion:
Dishonored is a great game, from story to its abilities. The Missable Achievements are pretty easy to miss, but not all too difficult to achieve. Overall, it was a quite easy 100% completion, as you could do it on any difficulty you wish. It took me slightly more than 40 hours to complete, but some of that time was spent on taking notes for this guide. Depending on your skill, it should've taken you around 30-50 hours.

If you found this guide helpful to achieving 100% yourself, please rate this guide and/or let me know in the comments. I'm open to any constructive criticism.

Cynic really does make the best achievement guides, no doubt.

This guide makes me want to go back to finally 100%ing this game. I love the whole Cynic-like format here. Chronological order, clear, concise and easy to follow. Gave you a follow on your guides. Can't wait to see what other games you'll do in the future.

No, start with whichever one you want. I just found starting with the low chaos first more convenient personally.

Will starting with a high chaos playthrough, instead of a low chaos one affect my chances of getting an 100% completion?
