Introduction
Falcon BMS (Benchmark Sims) is a highly realistic and detailed combat flight simulation game. It is a modification of the original Falcon 4.0 flight simulation software, which was released by MicroProse in 1998. Falcon BMS is a community-driven project that aims to improve and expand upon the original Falcon 4.0 experience.

The primary objective of Falcon BMS is to provide a more immersive and realistic flight simulation environment, especially in terms of military aviation. The simulation features detailed aircraft models, realistic avionics systems, and a dynamic campaign system that allows players to engage in realistic air combat scenarios.

Hardware Requirements
I do not want to waste your time. Let's get straight to the point; this is not Falcon 4.0 anymore, so you will need to meet a minimum to be able to fly.

Minimum System Requirements:
Windows 10 (64 bits)
i5 2500K 3.3 GHz
4Gb RAM
3D GFX card 2Gb dedicated VRAM (DX11 compatible mandatory)
25Gb HDD space required

Recommended System Requirements:
Windows 10 (64 bits)
i7 7700K (4.2 GHz)
8Gb RAM
ATI or Nvidia dedicated GFX Card with 4Gb VRAM (DX11 compatible mandatory)
50Gb free space on SSD (to add more theaters)

If you do have the required system.. "Push UHF 2", I mean, next step!

The next steps...
Learn about the documentation of BMS
Falcon BMS has several manuals that cover different aspects of the simulation, including installation, configuration, user interface, tactical engagement, campaigns, views, multiplayer, and more. All the manuals are in the \Docs folder within your Falcon BMS installation.

Setup your input devices
Falcon BMS supports various input devices, including HOTAS, head tracking systems, VR, and more. Refer to the "BMS-Device-Setup-Guide" for quick and dirty setup or the "BMS-Technical-Manual" for more advanced setup possibilities. Refer to the folder /Docs/01 Input Devices for VR or head tracking solutions.

The BMS UI (User Interface)
The BMS User Manual covers everything you need to know about the BMS User Interface, including how to create missions, use different BMS modes (Campaign, Tactical Engagement, etc.), and how to set up multiplayer environments. Chapters 4-6 and 9 are particularly relevant.

The basics of flying the F-16 in single-player
Falcon BMS simulates one of the most capable fighter jets in the world, and as such, it is essential to read, learn, and train before attempting to fly. The 32 training missions are great for starting your BMS journey, learning the avionics, weapons, and basic tactics. The "TO 1F-16CM/AM-1 BMS" manual covers how to fly the F-16, including aircraft systems, standard procedures, and abnormal procedures.

Level up
There are tools for Falcon BMS that will enable you to step up on your strategy and deliver precision airstrikes, such tools include "Weapon Delivery Planner." Dive deeper into the documentation to learn more about this tool and other tools such as the "Mission Commander" which will enable you to set up your own campaigns!

"Push UHF 4"
UHF 4?
OK, so are you? And you haven't contacted departure yet??
Quickly inform about your current status!!

If it is your first time, don't worry; we all were there once; let me tell you a bit about it.

In aviation and military contexts, "Push UHF 4" refers to a communication command given by a pilot or operator using a radio system.
  • In radio communication, "push" often means to activate or press a button. It's a command to transmit or initiate communication on a particular frequency or channel.

  • UHF stands for ultra-high frequency. In aviation, UHF radios are commonly used for air-to-air and air-to-ground communication. Each UHF radio can be tuned to different frequencies to facilitate communication with various parties, such as other aircraft or ground control.

  • The number following "UHF" indicates the specific channel or frequency within the UHF band. In this case, "UHF 4" would refer to the fourth UHF frequency/channel, which by default is the departure channel.

That was just a short preview of what will become your learning curve, which is quite extensive yet satisfying when accomplishing your objectives.
The best part...
Multiplayer! Interact with other vPilots all around the Globe and fly with them!
