How to Build Resource Nodes at HQ by Yourself
By Artificial Idiot
Introduction
Getting Resource Nodes up at your HQ is one of the fastest methods of gaining resources for your Commander to use them in the battlefield.

You can build Resource Nodes at your HQ Spawn with the Support & Engineer roles.
You MUST HAVE an Officer in your Infantry Squad for you to be able to pick the roles.

Guide

Step-By-Step Guide
* = Optional

1. Join a Squad & select the Support role.
2. Spawn at the HQ spawn furthest away from the first sector's objective.

*3. Find a suitable area to pre-plan your Blueprints.

4. Place all of your supply boxes, if available: Supply, Ammo, & Explosive.
5. Press ESC to access the Menu & Redeploy as the Engineer.
6. Position your Blueprints for the 3 Resource Nodes.

*7. Set up your traps. Refill from your Explosive Box for more traps.

8. Build the Manpower Node FIRST, so you can halve the Supply Box cooldown duration. Get the progress bar up to 3/4.
9. After that, hammer the other 2 Nodes to prevent them from despawning.
10. Finish building the Manpower Node.
11. Go to the Menu again & Redeploy as the Support.
12. Patiently build the other 2 Nodes of your priority (Munition Node recommend for Artillery). Finish it before a minute passes; that's when you gain Resources.

If the Support Role isn't available
[Commander]
- You can Redeploy as the Commander if all the available Infantry Squad's Support role is taken.
- Drop a supply at the location of your choice.
- Be aware that everyone can see where the Supply Drop is.

[Communication]
- Try asking Supports from other Infantry Squads if your VOIP isn't bugged out...
If no one wants to help you, at least you tried.

[Supply Truck]
- You won't be able to build the Resource Nodes inside the HQ, unless it's at the start of an Offensive battle mode.
However, it's better than no Nodes at all.[/*]
Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages of HQ Resource Nodes
1. You can do this by yourself without help.
2. It's the fastest method of getting Resource Nodes up, especially with help from your teammates.
3. You'll have more Resource than the other faction.
4. You won't lose your Resource Nodes when the sector they're built in is captured by the enemy.
5. An Engineer's traps may be more effective.
6. You can surround your Resource Nodes with Barbed Wires to prevent them from getting dismantled.

7. It's the easiest way to gain EXP.
8. It's the best way to contribute to your team, especially when you have high ping.
9. It's the most effective method of getting the following Steam Achievements:
- Labor Of Love
- Can I Get Another Tiger?
- Time For A Bombing Run

Disadvantages of HQ Resource Nodes
1. It's impossible without a second player in an existing Squad.
2. The Support role is usually taken.
3. The Support player may not cooperate with you for any reason.

4. You won't be able to utilize the Resource Nodes' cooldown refresh near the sector you're defending.
5. It's easier for experienced players to locate your Nodes.

Other Advice
1. Placing your Resource Nodes near any objectives will make them vulnerable. The enemy can easily find it or dismantle it just by capturing the sector.
2. Your nodes will show up as icons with a yellow circumference (it sometimes fail to load) on your map ("M" on the keyboard).
Occasionally check on them to see if they're still active or have been dismantled.
3. You can alternatively check how many Nodes your team has by viewing how many Resources per minute your faction is generating on the scoreboard ("Tab" on the keyboard).
This indicates the number or set of Nodes built or when the Commander uses the "Encouraged" ability.

4. Place Anti-Tank Mines next to Anti-Infantry Mines. It'll cause a bigger explosion that will kill the player if they're within range.
5. Depending on the map, you're able to hide the Anti-Tank Mines inside the terrain. Take Kharkov, for example.

6. Use the map's invisible barrier to your advantage.
7. You can use only 3 Barbed Wires to surround the Resource Nodes with, one side facing outside of the map.
Players can't dismantle the Resource Nodes in time if they're outside the map.
They may be forced to take specific routes where you can set up traps.
Personal Comments
This is my first guide on Steam. I'm confused by the UI.
