The Achievement "Laser eyes are so Useless" is a rather bothersome one.

With some proper initial knowledge, you can gain all 3 achievements and complete the mission in approx 20 min if done this way.

TL;DR: Build small rooms. Build 2 hallways around your entire "base", you need spellbook to fulfill Council request(to get mirrors AND the achievement) and speed progressing along.


Lets start with the advice for the achievement "Laser eyes are so Useless" and then i will add information about what you need to do to get the bonus objective.

In general you do NOT build alot of rooms and you do NOT build large rooms. the laserbeams is randomly hitting the dungeon and he proceeds to beam through, until he has been knocked back by a mirror. Keep that in mind.

1#: Build small rooms and build close to your Throne room.
2#: Build 2 hallways around your build area. A hallway will allow you to stop his beam before he hits a room, but you can buy some time having 2 hallways, because he may start far off from one of our rooms. If he crosses 1st hallway and no harm is done yet, and you can see his movement to where he is going, you can either judge that he will NOT hit a room before he is unto 2nd hallway, then just keep note of it and block him in the 2nd hallway. If he will hit a room going from 1st hallway to 2nd hallway depending of the traction, then simply mirror him asap.
3# You NEED to fulfill the Snot council requests to get more mirrors. they will always start off by requesting 60 or so gobblers.
2nd and 3rd request differs. usually they ask for mana - then gold.

So lets go unto tips and information about the bonus objectives to get the skill - but remember - it will ALSO get you mirrors.

You start off by building a Gobbler farm. no more than 3-4x9 tiles.
Get some mana and go for the spell book - you will need it.
(Make sure your hallways is being digged as you focus on this one too.)
Transfer gobblers every now and then, use the spellbook to "produce more resources" with the room spell. it will generate 4-6 gobblers at a time and you WILL NEED IT to make 60 gobblers before 10 minutes.

When that is done you should have done this by 7-8 minutes in the game and have additional minutes to get yourself ready, as when you hit the 10 min mark Tanos will beam the dungeon.
Spend those minutes making sure you have controlled you hallways, beware of ALOT of spiders to the west.

Next request for the council could be mana or gold. just fulfill their request and depending on which one it was, 3rd request will either be gobblers/mana or gobblers/coin. You can complete the mission and get all 3 achievements with- or within 3rd request.

When that is said, make sure Thaliya and your troops is progressing topside ofcourse. No need to go for all camps topside, clear the way towards the different portals, go through and smash them. use Gorgu or Pit Fiend when available to speed things up. Last "500meters" in the map is through a large base/castle, so make sure you have troops and spells to fight :).
