S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky

Russian voices + text in your language (No .exe, just extract! Deck Friendly Tutorial)
By .: VFansss :.
Playing with russian voiceover is always a more immersive option for playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Off course, I would like to retain text in a comprehensible (for me) language.

However, I've spent too much time to try to find HOW to do that (by default on Steam you can only select a language and play the game with that language on both audio and text) and every tutorial require to launch some .exe or .bat and it's too annoying for my tastes.

Especially when I'm on Steam Deck/Linux, where launching "windows executables" is quite annoying.

Tutorial (+ Patch download link)
(If you are from Steam Deck, launch "Desktop Mode". We are doing everything from there!)

- Set your preferred text language from Steam

From the list of games, select "Stalker Clear Sky -> Properties -> General -> Language", select the text language you want to play with.

- Download the already unpacked archive with Russian voiceover

I've uploaded it on several places, just choose your preferred one (if links are unavailable, leave a message and I will re-upload them!):

- Unpack the archive

Open the archive: inside it there's a folder called "audio".

Inside "audio", you fill find a folder called "gamedata"

Extract "gamedata" into the game root folder

- Edit "fsgame.ltx"

Into the root game folder, you will find a file called "fsgame.ltx"

Open it with a text editor, and find this line:

$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$|gamedata\

change the first "false" to "true"

$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$|gamedata\

Save the file, and close everything

- Enjoy!

Start the game! Everything is in your language, but voiceover is in russian!
