Uncap Framerate (credit: Timo654)
  1. Run the game at least once to generate config file.
  2. Go to:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition
    and open BGE.player.ini in a text editor.
    Steam Deck users, go to:
    home/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2556990/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition
    If the file is not there, create your own BGE.player.ini. You can right click to create a text file, then change the extension from ".txt" to ".ini". Place that file in your save folder.
  3. Under [Display], add:
    RefreshRate=240 RefreshRate_4K_PC=240
  4. Add a new section at the bottom:
    [Time] MaxDt = 0.2666666666 # max 288 fps, higher is untested, lower works fine. (If you need higher, then the value here is 1 divided by refresh rate) MinDt = 0.0034722222 EnableFixedDt = false
  5. Save the file and boot up the game.
For Steam Deck Users
You may have to create "BG.player.ini", then add this:

[Display]
RefreshRate=240
RefreshRate_4K_PC=240

[Time]
MaxDt = 0.2666666666
# max 288 fps, higher is untested, lower works fine. (If you need higher, then the value here is 1 divided by refresh rate)
MinDt = 0.0034722222
EnableFixedDt = false
Edit the Resolution
  1. Run the game at least once to generate config file
  2. Go to:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition
    and open BGE.player.ini in a text editor.
    Steam Deck users, go to:
    home/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/2556990/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition
  3. Under [Display], change "1080" and "1920" to the height and width of the resolution you want:
    WindowHeight_PC=1080 WindowWidth_PC=1920

How would I cap it to 165?

For steam deck user : the BG.player.ini doesn’t seem to exist. So I create my own.

Then I put that in the file :

[Display]
RefreshRate=240
RefreshRate_4K_PC=240

[Time]
MaxDt = 0.2666666666
# max 288 fps, higher is untested, lower works fine. (If you need higher, then the value here is 1 divided by refresh rate)
MinDt = 0.0034722222
EnableFixedDt = false

Looks like it’s working. So don’t look for the file. If you can find your save game folder and you don’t see the BG.player.ini just create it yourself and copy past what I put there.

Hope it help.

Anyone find any other methods for fixing the stuttering? I loved the original and really want to try the remaster!

It should be stated that the purpose of this is not to uncap the framerate, but to allow a better framerate cap solution to take over. This solves all of the stuttering that I am encountering.

Moved the game to the internal drive, still cannot see that .ini. Has **anyone** tested this legitimately on Deck?

Yes, it seems that only in the original it was possible to do it with the help of a fix, but it will no longer work for this version(

I'm not sure. I don't have ultrawide, and I don't know of any fix.

I set it to 2560x1080, save it, nothing changes, Apparently I need ultrawide fix?
Ставлю 2560х1080 сохраняю ничего не меняется, Видимо нужен ультравайд фикс?

The directory I posted is for the internal drive, I'm not sure where that would be on the MicroSD, if I can find it I'll post it.
