This isn't THE definitive guide to perks, this is MY guide to perks. You may ultimately disagree, or find other guides that don't value perks the same way I do. That's perfectly okay. I'm just offering my perspective and I hope it's useful.

The overall rankings are geared toward longer runs. You might find a lot of these perks are much better on short runs where their features are more beneficial to getting a basic win.

For long runs, I value perks that don't cause chaos, or permanently alter my spells, or will kill enemies I don't wish to die, such as with various minion perks. I can find spell modifiers to alter specific wands, but it's hard to reverse a perk's effect without removing it entirely.

40% horizontal speed increase.

Can make precision difficult. Best only grab 1 or 2. Pairs somewhat nicely with equal amount of Faster Levitation.
Faster Projectiles
75% increase to projectile speed. Multiplied in multicast.

Reduces cast delay and reload of all held wands by 20% + 5 frames

Good
Caps at -0.35s for each stat. Apply to secondary starting wand for a rapid early wand.
Feared by Worms
Worms/Lukki don't destroy terrain/items and run from you.

Reduces recoil of your own spells. Reduces spell flight speed by 20%

250k HP spider minion.

Damaged by poly, acid, and curse. Bleeds slime (washes off your ambrosia in cursed rock). Follows charmed enemies.
