Level achievements: the next achievements are unlocked by gaining experience in online games. It doesn't matter whether you have pay for full access to expansions or you are playing for free.
Everytime you win an online game you will be awarded with +100xp, whereas finishing in 2nd or 3rd place will grant you +50xp in each case.

You will get an achievement every time you level-up as it follows:

Level 2

Level 5

Level 10

Level 20

Twosome: just add a friend to your friends list inner the game (it has to be added IN the game, Steam friends list doesn't count here)

Good Karma: while playing online games your karma level will fluctuate. Ir order to have a good karma level just make sure to finish every online game. Quitting a game has a negative impact on the karma level so be careful.

Strong Together: Create or join a guild. Creating one could be more difficult since you need to be at Level 10 to be able to create guilds.
Single and multiplayer

First Steps: Just start and finish the basic tutorial, it takes a couple of minutes.

Scout: Pretty easy. For this one you will need to use a sun in order to play a game vs the IA.

1) Go to Singleplayer

2) On The Game menu, select Scenario

3) Play on The First Island map. Remember, you have to have 1 Sun available in order to be able to star the game vs the IA (auto renewable every 12 hours).

New Me: super easy to get.

1) In the Main Menu left click on the avatar.

2) Then left click on Player Profile

3) Finally, make your choice and customise your character to your liking.

Road Builder: for this achievement you will have to build enough roads so you have at least 12 of them connected. No need to build houses or building on them. Ships count towards this achievement.

Dominance: this one could be a bit difficult. To get it you need to have the Largest Army (which is activated after playing 3 Knight cards) and the Longest Road (which is activated once a player connects 5 road segments). Focus on keeping the Longest Road since once another player or the IA surpasses you it could be a real challenge to get back on top. Furthermore, you have to win the game or no achievement.

Villager: win a game without building a city. Instead, try to win by building all the settlements available, upgrading them to cities when possible, having the Longest Road, the Largest Army or/and getting Victory Points from development deck.
Seafarer expansion
Explorer: uncover 10 fog tiles. The easiest way to do it is by building the first two settlements as close to the coast as possible but keeping an eye on the resources since you will need to build several ships.

Old salt: win 5 games with the Seafarers expansion. Self-explanatory; it will take you some time if you don't own the expansion given that you will have to wait for the suns to be renewed every 12 hours. The easiest way to win is by setting the IA players as rookies.

Empire: colonize all islands in the Seafarer scenario "The four islands". This scenario could be a bit hard. The good thing is that you don't need to win the game. Try to build close to the coast and send ships toward the island as soon as possible to build villages there.

Pirate: move the pirate 5 times in a single game. In order to do so, wait to get a 7 while you keep buying cards hoping to get a Knight. Instead of moving the robber, move the pirate. You don't need to win the game to get the achievement.
Cities&Knights expansion
Squire: win 5 games with the Cities&Knights. Self-explanatory; it will take you some time if you don't own the expansion given that you will have to wait for the suns to be renewed every 12 hours. The easiest way to win is by setting the IA players as rookies.

Architect: Build 3 city walls in a game of Cities&Knights. In order to do so, you require to build 3 cities and equipe each of them with a wall (each wall costs 2 bricks). Be careful, if you attacked by barbarians they'll downgrade one of your cities (losing its wall) to a settlement.

Panderer: this one take some time to accomplish. You basically have to play the progress card "Wedding" 10 times. For a deeper insight, check the guide created by the user KℜOWN.
Rivals for Catan expansion

Welcome at court: just complete the Rivals for Catan tutorial.

1) Go to Singleplayer, click on the expansion Rivals for Catan, and then Tutorial

2) Start the tutorial and when finishing it the achievement will pop up.

That happend to me as well. It's an unfixed bug that already existed by the time I wrote down this guide and I had hoped to be fixed. I got the achievement playing the first scenario but I'm pretty sure that every scenario count towards the achievement.
