For upgrades: dmg increase (30%+, more than 1 preferred if you only have 30), luck increase (if you use any that rely on it), and crit chance increase, you should be set. The rest like tower aoe and speed and projectile can be upgraded as you go.
Here's my strategy: like in this guide focus on using Judgement and finding Living Shadow, but also start with the Sawblade tower along Judgement. From early on focus on boosting damage and AOE (target 300% early on, but keep going beyond over the run, I'd recommend between 500% and 1000%) as well as increasing the towers' quality. You shouldn't need much else so you can combine most of the other cards. When given the choice to add new structures prioritize the Sawblade towers over Judgement (I'd finish the run with 2 Judgements and 4 Sawblades).
Important, you might need to get the fast healing end-stage reward early on. If you don't have it by the time you get to Glutonny, there's a chance you'll end up dying before getting powerful enough to not need it.
