An in-depth look at every Archetype available in Metaphor: ReFantazio. The goal is to provide an all-in-one resource for players to learn about Archetypes - with info ranging from unlock conditions and mastery bonuses to a detailed list of their individual skills and synthesis skills. Some spoilers are inevitable when listing Archetypes, so I've placed all the end game Archetypes that are potential spoilers at the very bottom of this guide. DO NOT scroll beyond the Royal Archetypes section if you don't want to know about them.

In addition to receiving more Archetype-channeled stats as you level up an Archetype, when a character masters that Archetype, they also gain a permanent stat boost. Here are the following possible stat boosts per Archetype tier.

If you continue to use an Archetype after mastering it, the Archetype EXP it gains does not go to waste. For every 1,000 A-EXP earned, you are automatically refunded a Hero's Leaf of Light to be used on anyone. So don't feel pressured into switching Archetypes for the sake of mastery.

Also, every skill's base ailment affliction rate has been listed, but they may not accurately reflect the actual application rate due to enemies' resistances and Luck stat factored into the final odds.

I'll try keep that suggestion in mind.
The reason I didn't include the info in the first place is because, not only do the bonus stats vary based on Archetype rank, More's Rank 8 Follower Bond + Follower Key Items also grant additional stats while channeling those Archetypes, so there's a lot of data to try and figure out.

I wanted to keep the overview sections as spoiler free as possible, so I only have a general table listing the possible bonus stats (and details in their individual Archetype sections). For the Royal Warrior it's synthesis skills actually cost only a third of MP. It's costs are tripled when wielding the Beloved Greatsword

Wait I got confused by the Royal Slash description. You have it wrong on the guide. It is "Deals extreme physical Almighty damage to one enemy. Damage boosted against human-type monsters."

Royal Sword however is the synthesis skill version similar to that skill but says severe physical almighty damage instead which confuses me because Royal Sword is definitely stronger than Royal Slash.

That skill scales off of St or Ma depending on whichever has a higher value.
