DMC4SE Crash on Boot Windows 11 fix:
- Download Steamless
- Download HxD
- Right-click DMC4SE(Installed). Manage > Browse local files
- Drag & Drop [DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe] into Steamless "Select File To Unpack" box.
- Click "Unpack File"
- [DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe.unpacked] should populate in game folder
- Drag & Drop [DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe.unpacked] in HxD
- Press Ctrl + G in HxD
- Type 6790E7 into box under "Offset"
- Press OK
- You should see " | " blinking next to 80 02 00 00
- Click your mouse cursor between 80 & 02 showing: 08 "|"02 00 00
- Simply type over 02 and type "07" (The characters should turn RED identifying the change)
- Top Left: Press File > Save As > Replace with [DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe]
- Close Steamless & HxD
- Boot up game

@ProjectXsent I typed the number in the wrong location because I wasn't paying attention. Whatever resolution you choose, just be careful to type it in the right place -- that is all.

It's not that it didn't work, you just have to list down specific resolutions because not all uses 1920x1080 (80 07 00 00) monitors.

I had to run through this guide again. I assure you, it still works. Make sure you are carefully typing the correct number in the correct spot or you will have to reinstall the game to reset it.

I have to remind that the "07" part (80 07 00 00) is for 1920x1080. Visit this guide for different resolutions.
