Description
This is a caster mystic build that has a high single target damage output and decent AoE. This build only comes online at later levels, @16-18, when you finally piece together the gear and abilities to make this work consistently. The earlier levels are very slow for a wand user, as the damage output of wands is ABYSMAL, not to mention that you get your first AoE wand at level 13, so until then you should be using a bell. if you decide to level using this build.

Here is a video of this build in action:

Level 19 Crescent Grove Run

For reference, the Grove Run is about ~1 minutes faster than the run of my Mind Spear build. This is thanks to the high single-target damage output of this build.

Skill Priority
Mana Flow -> Divine -> Fluxbolt -> Cross -> Restora -> Imbue -> Life Tap -> Wand Mastery

I have yet to test Fireball/Spire/Cryo Needle, althought it's gonna be hard to find another spot for those. The only real alternative is swapping Life Tap for one of these, if you are ok with your mana.

Mana Flow is critical for this build, that's why it only becomes a serious contender for damage when you reach 3/3 Mana Flow. This allows you to much more consistently spam Cross and Fluxbolt. Cross applies a considerable amount of Magic Def reduction to the target.

Reccomended for levels 10-22:
10: Fluxbolt 2/7 - Cross 1/4 - Mana Flow 1/3 - Scepter Mastery 1/3 - Recovery 3/5 [8/10 points used]
12: Use Skill reset Book - Fluxbolt 2/7 - Cross 2/4 - Mana Flow 1/3 - Scepter Mastery 2/3 - Restora 2/4 - Imbue 1/5 [ 10/18 points used ]
14: Fluxbolt 4/7 - Cross 3/4 - Mana Flow 2/3 - Scepter Mastery 3/3 - Restora 4/4 - Imbue 2/5 [18/21 points used]
16: Cross 4/4 - Imbue 3/5 - Divine 1/3 - Life Tap 1/3 [22/24 points used]
18: Mana Flow 3/3 - Fluxbolt 6/7 - Divine 2/3 - Imbue 4/5 [27/27 points used]
20: Imbue 5/5 - Divine 3/3 - Life Tap 2/3 [30/30 points used]
22: Fluxbolt 7/7 [31/33 points used]

You can forego skilling into Recovery at lvl 10 and choose to use consumables to restore your HP instead so you won't have to use a skill reset book at 12 or 16/18, when the points you have aren't enough for the upgrades available.

Playstyle

Normal DPS rotation on Bosses:
Imbue -> Cross -> alternate wand attacks and Fluxbolt

Burst DPS rotation:
Imbue -> Cross -> Divine -> Life Tap (if low mana) -> alternate wand attacks and Fluxbolt

To better describe the playstyle:
  • In AoE, keep using Cross and try to land Fluxbolt in between multiple mobs, usualy atleast 2.
  • In single target, keep using fluxbolt; if you are dealing with priority targets or big mobs, it is also worth using Cross for the debuff.
Life Tap is best used when you are already standing in Divine or in-between waves, when you have time to sneak a Restora afterwards to top you off.

Divine is best treated as a big AoE damage spell that is equally efficient in single target and that makes you able to ignore attacks that have no knockback ( given enough HP to not get oneshot, you will be healed to full immediately )

Gear Progression, Enchants, Stats

Stats:
Mana > Magical Power
Mana is important for spamming spells. I'd say after reaching 160/180 mana unbuffed, you should consider Magical Power as the next best stat.

You would want to have 10 or 15 points in Vitality so you have more room for error in higher level dungeons.

Required level will be put inside square brackets.

  • Helmet: Journeyman Spetacles[10]/Magistrate Circlet[10](alternative) -> Jestercast Memory[17]

  • Chest: Iron Chestpiece[7] -> Tattered Battlerobe[10] -> Witchlock Robe[12] / alternatives (Ornamented Battlerobe[15]) -> Carbuncle Robe[16]/Witchwizard Robe[17] -> Magilord Overalls[21]

  • Cape: Nokket Cloak[6] -> Regzuul Cape[12] -> Forlorn Cloak[16] -> Sagecaller Cape[16]

  • Pants: Journeyman Leggings[8] -> Witchlock Loincloth[12] -> Darkcloth Pants[16] (Stridebound Pants[17] budget version)-> Witchwizard Garterbelt[18] -> Magilord Boots[21]

  • Wand: Cryo Cane/Slime Diva Baton [10] -> Wizwand[13] -> Flamepetal Staff[18]

  • Shield: Demicrypt Buckler[6] -> Irish Shield[12] -> Mithril Shield[16] -> Rustwise Shield[19]

  • Ring: Saphireweave Ring[7] -> Students Ring[12] -> Pearlpond Ring[15] / Jadetrout Ring[17]

Additional Comments

This isn't a build I reccomend for early levels. It is on the harder side as you have to deal with kiting mobs and creating distance all while account for you cast times that do suffer from PUSHBACK when you are hit with a damaging attack, or are completly interrupted when knocked back. However, it has a lot of potential at max level, as it's very mobile and deals a lot of damage thanks to the way Fluxbolt hits multiple times for upwards of 150+ damage per cast ( not taking into account the Magic Res debuff ). The AoE is a weakness for this build, but it makes up for it with burst AoE with Divine + Cross when in dire need.

Up to date as of version 1.5.8a

Thanks for the insight, trying this out with a Kubold Mystic, and liking the damage so far.
