"Got some spare time today, and one thing led to another—I decided to revisit my screenarcher journey.
I’m quite happy to see that I’ve made some improvement, however small it might be 🥹

Screenarchery was, and I think always will be, a hobby of mine. However, it does take quite a lot of time to prepare—everything from taking the shot, adjusting angles, and poses, to tinkering with in-game photo modes or plugins. At one point, it even pushed me into burnout when I realized I was spending more time tinkering than actually playing the game 🤣

I tried comparing my progress year by year, but I didn’t post much in 2023. It was a tough year for me personally, and I almost gave up on screenarchery altogether. On top of that, I learned that someone had been using my screenshots for personal gain. On one hand, it’s flattering that my work is appreciated so much, but on the other, it’s demotivating to know that some people are profiting from the hours I put in. Big thanks to @vain for bringing this to my attention 👀

Somehow, I’ve stuck with this hobby this year. While reflecting, I also noticed that some friends on my list haven’t been active for a while. They’re probably dealing with their own challenges. To those friends: you have my prayers. I hope your problems are resolved soon and that you can return to the community when you’re ready 🙏

This year, I learned a new technique from a kind person who shared her personal trick—@Katrina/Lofquist. Her tips revolutionized my workflow, especially by reducing the time I spend on post-processing. I’m so deeply grateful to her 💖
I also picked up a trick or two from YouTube about black-and-white photography, which has been fun to experiment with.
As for landscapes, I don’t think I’ve made much progress there. In fact, my all-time favorite landscape shot is still from last year’s Hogwarts Legacy.
Thank you very much for those who appreciate and awards my works, can't name you all one by one, apologies!
Thank you to @Yonaga/nofile and @Stefano/Commander Steffa who had been very generous (and to think how me and commander start off on the wrong foot, and almost become foes) 🤣

All in all, I’m still a novice, and I have so much more to learn in so many areas—but I’ve come to accept that 🐛
It’s one of the things that makes this hobby so enjoyable 🦋
Here’s to a wonderful year-end for all of us and a better new year ahead 🍻"
