This guide works only from Synergy v24.12.1 and up.

In this guide I will walk you through hosting a simple Listen Server and allowing your friends to join, assuming you have the console enabled; if not, refer to the linked guide below.

To host a Server, you can click the Create Server while in the Synergy main menu.

Select a map and make sure the server Type is set to Internet.



Once the server is running and the map has loaded, open the console and type status to find your SteamID64. Copy this number and share it with your friend to allow them to join your server.

Now, for your friends to join the server, they will need to open the console and type the following command:


Can't connect to your friend? Ensure the server is set to Internet and not LAN on the Create Server screen. If it's already running, you can make your server public by typing the following commands in the console:


If there is a password on the server, the joining players will need to input the password in the console before joining.
