Welcome. The purpose of this guide is to optimize your time to get achievements in the game «The Last of Us: Part II» and an additional roguelike mode «No Return».

It is necessary to collect 1920 parts и 1900 supplements in two playthroughs, as well as all weapons and manuals — if you missed something, then refer to the collections section.

NOTE FOR SURVIVAL EXPERT
If you want to combine the fulfillment of this achievement on the Realism+ difficulty for «Dig Two Graves» ㅤㅤThen you will not be able to get all the abilities due to the lack of some skills in the branches.

During the first playthrough, you will be able to unlock ~80% of improvements and skills;

You don’t need to collect any melee weapons or craftables. In total you must get 6 weapons: Semi-Auto Pistol, Revolver, Bow, Pump Shotgun, Bolt-Action Rifle, Silenced Submachine Gun.

KILL 4 ENEMIES WITH TRAP MINES IN ONE ENCOUNTER
Dina has the ability to craft Trap Mines unlocked from the start. Go into a match with 3 Trap Mines already crafted.
CRAFT 10 TIMES IN A RUN
CRAFT A HEALTH KIT, MOLOTOV, TRAP MINE, AND STUN BOMB IN A RUN
Dina starts with the crafting recipes for Trap Mine and Stun Bomb. You just need to buy the Molotov Recipe from the weapons locker in the safehouse. Craft one of each with resources you find during encounters.

PURCHASE 10 ITEMS FROM THE TRADING POST IN ONE RUN
KILL 3 ENEMIES WITH PIPE BOMBS IN ONE ENCOUNTER
Jesse has the ability to craft pipe bombs from the start. Can also be done with other characters if you buy the pipe bombs (or recipe).

GET 7 KILLS WITH EXPLOSIVE ARROWS IN ONE RUN
As Lev you start with the “Archery” skill tree. Buy the 2nd skill “Craft Explosive Arrows”. Now you can craft explosive arrows.
CRAFT 20 ARROWS OF ANY TYPE IN ONE RUN
As Lev you start with the “Archery” skill tree, allowing you to craft arrows from the start.
COMPLETE AN ENCOUNTER WITH ALL BOW KILLS
Use the bow to defeat every enemy in an encounter. Can be done with any character (Lev starts with Bow, other characters must buy it)

COMPLETE A SERAPHITE ENCOUNTER AS YARA
On the encounter board in safehouse it shows what enemy type is present in an encounter. Pick one that says “Seraphites”.
DEFEAT 3 SERAPHITE BRUTES
Simply defeat the 5th boss “Seraphite Elite” a total of 3 times.

CRAFT 8 HEALTH KITS IN A RUN
HEAL 80 HEALTH WITH ONE HEALTH KIT
1. Play as Ellie, from her Perseverance skill tree buy the “Improved Health Kits” to heal +50% per use.
2.Play an encounter that unlocks the “Survival” skill book, then buy the “Improved Health Kits” from that. Now let your health get very low to the last red segment. Now use the medkit and it will heal over 80 health total.

FULLY UPGRADE ANY GUN
KILL 5 ENEMIES WITH INCENDIARY SHOTGUN SHELLS IN ONE RUN
Manny starts with the “Munitions” skill tree, the third skill is “Craft Incendiary Shells”. You must only buy a shotgun from the weapons locker.

Encounter are divided into 4 types, and it says how to get achievements.

ASSAULT

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Available automatically

Type of encounter where enemies spawn in waves. You must get 5 kills with DIFFERENT weapons in a SINGLE Assault Encounter. Do kills with your equipped weapons, then pick up the melee weapons from enemies and do more kills with those. Each type of melee weapon counts as a different weapon kill (e.g. machete, baseball bat, axe, piece of wood, hammer etc).

HUNTED

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Available automatically

Type of encounter where enemies spawn in waves and rush towards you. The best option is to do it in encounters with Infected enemies (not humans) because they will run towards you quickly, whereas humans like to hide behind cover which makes them slower to kill. It’s important you kill 12 in A SINGLE encounter.

HOLDOUT

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Unlocks after 7 runs

Type of encounter where you have to guard a friendly NPC from enemies. Defeat all enemies without the NPC dying to win the encounter.

CAPTURE

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Unlocks after 9 runs

Type of encounter where you have to loot a safe without getting spotted by the enemies before time runs out. Enemies will patrol around the safe. For this particularly trophy, you must reach the safe in complete stealth WITHOUT killing a single enemy.

In total there are 26 different Modifiers. You must have completed a total of 12 encounters with mods to unlock all mod types.

You cannot view the completed modifications in the menu “MODS” — It’s highly recommended to keep track manually which mods you have finished.

︙RISK TAKER

Gambits are bonus challenges displayed in the top left corner during encounters. These are little tasks, for example: killing 1 enemy with a melee attacking, doing 3 headshots etc. You need to complete 5 gambits in one run — it is better to complete them at the beginning of the No return, before all levels are opened, because the first ones are the simplest.

Access to them opens after 2 standard run. New types of gambits are opened as the challenges are completed, tracked in the menu — a total of 6 level.

︙GOOD RIDDANCE

At the end of run, one of the six bosses appears, the list is presented below. Initially, the bosses go in a fixed order until you defeat each of them once, after which the random is activated.

︙TRUE STRENGTH

After each encounter you are given a rating based on your performance. “S rank” is the highest possible rating. Pick encounters with a high score multiplier, displayed on the encounter select board.

The main criteria is the amount of damage you take and that you kill the maximum amount of enemies in the encounter. The full list of criteria is available at the link[thelastofus.fandom.com]

Daily Run

You must play 9 runs to unlock Daily Runs. The principle is still the same, with a couple of exceptions.:

You can only select one character (even if it is not unlocked);
Only one run attempt per day is available.

TIPS FOR COMPLETING THE RUN

PLANNING

Before starting the run, you need to plan your route on the task board in advance and choose light encounters that do not have serious negative modifiers.

WEAPONS & MODIFICATIONS & SKILLS

For anihilation of opponents, the following are best suited: a flamethrower, a shotgun, a bow ( in the presence of explosive arrows). The worst option is a crossbow. The details are first spent on damage modifiers ⭢ reload ⭢ rate of fire ⭢ recoil. Since the characters are all individual, we first download their unique skills.

ENCOUNTER

Try to act stealthily for longer (as a last resort, you can always run away). In other cases, we use a bunch of stunning objects and melee, try to feed people to the infected and just maneuver in battle.

— Assault: kill all but one of them and collect all the resources by location. Try to put supplies in caches — for this you will receive pleasant bonuses (weapons, blueprints etc.). — Hunted: stay unnoticed longer, change positions. — Holdout: the safe is your priority target. — Capture: don't be afraid to waste bullets, because there are a lot of them from corpses.

BOSSES

The boss should be fully prepared and come equipped: with full ammunition, health and improved weapons — the rest is a matter of technique. Bombs, molotovs and mines will help you take away half of the boss's health.

When playing as Ellie and following Jesse, you go through a snowy town. Once you get to the crossroad where you can pet a dog, go left instead of straight ahead and you will find it on a bulletin board..

Keep following Jesse. At the end of the snowy town road, on the right side is the Blacksmith shop. Pick up the Scrap Parts from the little bench where the Blacksmiths are working. It’s across the street from Tipsy Bison Bar.

Artifact «Volunteer Receipt»

Very close to the above Parts. At the very end of the snowy town road, on the right side is a text document on a wooden box. Read the document, it counts as an artifact. It’s across the street from Tipsy Bison bar.

While playing as Abby you’ll enter a house where you must crawl under the floorboards. An enemy will come crawling at you, which Abby must shoot and kill. After this crawling section, turn left and jump through the window of the house. Inside this house, on a table, sits a note that counts as an Artifact.

Now grab the rope and while standing at the leftmost window, throw it over the roof – this is only possible once you destroyed the glass roofs outside. After petting the dog and leaving the dog cage, you’ll enter a dark tunnel with a painting of a wolf on the right. There’s a coin on the floor under the wolf painting. If you go through the next door you can’t go back here. Make a manual save after leaving the dog cage if in doubt.

Now jump across the isles in the river. Once you make it across, there’s only one way to go up the stairs in a building. Check the room upstairs for a note on the floor.

From the Flamethrower, drop down 2 floors and walk over another short wooden beam into a room with a Shambler (big poison spore enemy). Kill the Shambler and check the drawer to the right of it for 3 Parts.

Now head down the above-mentioned staircase and drop down to the floor below. To the right of where you land is a revolving door with a corpse and a brown bag. Interact with the bag to grab this collectible.

From the above artifact, instead of going through the yellow door, turn around and take the other way leading to a chapel. On the altar sits a document.

Now go through the yellow door and the quarantine tunnel behind it. In the area that follows, smash in the windows of the 2nd room on the right. Climb inside and grab the note off a stretcher with a corpse.
