simpleHUD is a clean, lightweight, and customizable HUD for Garry's Mod, built with performance in mind.

This is my first addon — originally made for personal use on a low-end PC with 8GB RAM. I decided to share it in case others want a minimal HUD that activates only when needed and uses almost no resources.

🧩 Features

- Only shows when holding a key (default: E)
- Smooth camera movement
- Animated transitions
- Health, armor, stims, armor plates, clock, ammo, and heart icon
- Optional healing and armor sound feedback
- Optional background blur
- Customizable icon positioning
- Configurable activation key
- Customizable hold duration
- Fully client-side and won’t conflict with gamemode HUDs

🧪 Compatibility

For the best experience, use simpleHUD together with:

- MW Stim [VManip]
- Warzone™ Armor System
- S.M.A.R.T | An Intelligent Bracelet

⚠️ By combining these addons and adjusting their configurations, you can achieve the setup shown in the preview image.

UPDATE v1.1

Change: Configuration options are now located in Spawnmenu > Utilities > M addons > M Dynamic and simple HUD

Added: New sounds
Added: Nostalgic sound when health and armor are full
Added: Nostalgic intro

Fixed: Having more than 100 armor no longer breaks the armor bar

DYNAMIC HUD:

You can now enable an option for the HUD to automatically activate when taking damage or healing

I'm sorry to hear that. I play without a HUD myself. If you check the other mods I've uploaded, they're aimed at improving that kind of experience. Little by little, I'll be adding small updates—for example, I'm about to upload a new feature that's going to be very useful.

I wish this replaced the original hud, I got this entirely to do that and yet the HL2 hud is still there, and I don't wanna disable draw hud cause that gets rid of the weapon selector and the crosshair
