Stuff to know about before you start
Just play the first character with the M16/Ammo perk
You can't get ammo by any means in solo, so you want more ammo. The machinegun isn't a good idea. The M21 is a one to two-shot kills, but you may run out on some maps. M16 strikes the right balance of being controllable, decent damage, and having hundreds of shots.

As for the healing, if you need more than 8 bandages, you're not getting Outstanding. skill issue

You can "sprint" while waiting for a cutscene to end and it uses your stamina up :^)

After healing there is a "recovery period". It seems that enemies are almost guaranteed to hit you while you're in it, but not kill you. This really Sucks and is Terrible Game Design. Get used to it. All of this campaign is Terrible Game Design.

If it's not on-rails, the only thing that matters for the ranking is time.

Nobody seems to have any data on what the time thresholds are, but

Irene - ~ sub 13 minutes?
The Fuse ~ Sub 8 minutes?
Lost convoy ~ Just clear it while not letting anyone get exploded.
Black Hawk Down ~ Sub 7 minutes
Valor ~ 15 minutes +
N.S.D.Q ~ Sub 15 minutes?
Mogadishu Marathon: Around sub 16 mins

This game is hard and very RNG-dependent. Sometimes you'll barely get hit. Sometimes you'll get kneecapped four times in a row. Just keep exercising your cycles and you'll get there eventually.

You cannot get kneecapped in the final level. Small mercy. You'll need it. Godspeed.
Irene
The main goal here is to get to the hostages ASAP. The more time you buy early on the more you can take your time killing enemies in the hostage building without putting yourself in too much danger.

NONE of the objectives up to that point matter. You can skip all of them. Get out of the building you start in, head straight to the target. You will automatically clear the earlier objective as you kill enemies.

Broken legs all the way down

First order of business is going down the starter staircase. First thing is just to cut a perfect 180° around the first flight. After that, there should be a guy in the middle behind a crate, and potentially one guy on the right behind some cover. Take out your pistol and kill them both. You need to do this very quickly and get hit by than 2-3 shots, otherwise the following step will kill you.

After this, you'll notice the staircase is destroyed, but there is a piece of concrete that sags lower than the rest. Get on the very lowest edge of that piece of concrete and drop down. You'll take some damage but you should be able to go straight to the door from there, and heal if you have to.

If you're extremely brave there's a buggy edgegrab you can do that saves even more time but requires precision. Stand on the very first flight of stairs, the one immediately past the doorway at the start of the level. Go down just a few steps, you want to be almost to the halfway point of that flight.

Turn around so that your butt is facing the edge of the stairs and you're facing the wall. What you want to do is just barely drop down from the stairs and mantle the very last flight of stairs at the bottom of the building. If you touch anything else you'll turn your legs into mist. If you ledgegrab you get a 20 second save and no damage.

Crossing the mean streets
The moment you go outside, ignore everything and go straight to the right. Pass the van and enter the building directly ahead of you. You can pop the few guerrillas that'll be there if they bother you, but don't waste too much time.

Enter the building, go through the door to your left, then the furthest door. A technical should pass, try getting the machinegunner to be safe. After this, you want to exit through the window, immediately go for the shack with the tire piles to the right, and toss a smoke to cover your butt as mantle through it and head towards the building.

There will always be at least one guy in the store on your right past the shack, so dispose of him. If you're very unlucky there'll be around 4 guys instead.

Once you get past the building's entrance archway, you'll trigger a bunch of goons, so pop a frag in the middle to try and dispose of a few of them.

Ready or not simulator
As soon as you pass the archway and dome most of the guards, take the door immediately to your right. Remember where this place is, this is where you'll want to be later on.

Going through this room, you'll be going all the way to the right, and exit into the side courtyard. There is at least a guard there, maybe two. You're going to approach the staircase from the outside entrance rather than going through the inside patio because it's a little safer.

Take it easy and cap everyone that shows up. Then turn towards the staircase and dispose of the guys on it. As you get up the last flight you'll trigger a spawn, so you can toss a frag in there and time your line-crossing to get the additional guards.

Continue sweeping the upper floor. If you executed the first parts quickly, you can take it at a decent pace without rushing yourself. If you don't get hurt too much you don't need to heal as much and this saves time. Don't shoot the hostages obviously.

Once you ziptied everyone, go back downstairs, this will instantly clear the objectives.

autoscroller roller mobster
Remember the room I mentioned earlier? Go back there. You want to be there for two reasons.

First of all, this puts you relatively close to a lot of areas you'll need to keep clean for your rangers buddies while enemies won't path into said room readily. This gives you plenty of space and quiet to dispose of them.

The second reason is that it's immediately next to the exit.

Hunker down and keep your ranger buddies safe for three minutes. This is actually the easiest part as long as you stay chill and bounce from one door to the other, peeking the doorways and eliminating anyone non-US.

After that just leave. If you did this under 13 minutes or so you'll get Outstanding. Good job!
The Fuse
~ 7 mins seems to be the target.

Kill all the RPGs asap. In fact, you want to haul ass immediately to kill the first rooftop RPG, if you're fast enough, you'll save about three rangers and this makes the next few moments way easier to handle.

Immediately head into the building to the right.

What you want to do is to sweep the entire right side. You'll have to kill the RPG on the left building as well, but the faster you get to the end of those buildings and trigger the helo strafing run the better.

Go upstairs as soon as you can. You'll get a much better line of sight on the people around you. Take care of the first three rocketeers of the new area (balcony on left, then two on the building in front). Then go back down so you can pop the last one on the right, and the sniper next to him.

Once they're all dead, keep on this side. There's a ton of goons to eliminate in the middle of the area. Make progress towards the blue building and sweep it so you can take position on the top floor and pop the IED technicals as they arrive.

Be careful as a sniper shows up on the far right eventually and can wreck you if you're careless.
Black Hawk Down
S***tytown

We're going through the right and the idea is to get through the first area as fast as possible. When you get close to area 2, a huge bundle of goons in the middle path will show up and you want to get rid of them early so they don't circle you and cause you trouble.

Get on the steps of the building to the right, eliminate the right sniper as fast as possible. Follow the edge of the wall to dome the guy immediately in front of you, then get the left sniper. After this, you want to head straight for the building directly ahead.

Head towards the left arch and dome the guy in there. Leave straight ahead then go slightly to the left to get inside the building. Go all the way to the top floor and follow the roofs until you get to the RPG objective. There is a small roof access with a metal door all the way at the end, get in there and take care of the RPGs one by one.

Basically the entirety of Somalia will be trying to climb up the stairs so don't take too long. You'll have 15-20 guys chasing you the entire time.
Lost Convoy
You must shoot everyone that has a RPG.

This is the main deal of the level. Everyone else that is not in a technical is irrelevant. Memorize every RPG spawn and eliminate every rocketeer as soon as they appear. You'll mostly die in two areas due to poor visibility or because rocketeers spawn and shoot you almost immediately.

The first problematic area is the zone after you get trash thrown at you, and have to go around the entire block. There is a building with an antenna in the middle and there are rocketeers that are just next to walls or behind the antenna.

Don't forget the other side.

The next one is when you go inside the buildings. On your immediate right a rocketeer will spawn.

Shoot the exploding barrels the moment you spot them. Done.
Valor
Ignore everyone during the helo ride. They will maybe hit you once or twice, but you won't take any damage. You need the ammo.

The idea is to find a place where enemies can't get to you easily, sit there, and just hold out for about FIFTEEN MINUTES in total, which is the entire objective survival time, and about as long on top of that.

Hunkering down in the copter seems safe, and you can sort of tuck yourself in behind the pilot seats, but you'll still get shot at a lot. There is a place in a tunnel nearby which seems safe but just kills you after the objective ends.

So of course we're going to cheese this in an extra weird way.
Get inside the area where Durant is hunkered. There is a pile of sandbags with a cupboard on it.

Line yourself up like this.

Now crawl forwards. You'll get up for a single frame and warp back. Keep doing that. This tricks the game into thinking you're mobile and exposed, which gets enemies to stay at a short distance. The grenades thrown at you will bounce on the cupboard, and the sniper can't hit you from there.

A guy may get up on this ledge, which lets him shoot you. Otherwise, facekickers only come from the left. The reaction time is quite short, so make sure you're ready for them..

Some guerillas will come to punt your face in. Shoot them before they do. These guys will be the main reason you'll die.
N.S.Q.D
This is an execution-heavy level. It's not that complicated but you have to pull off some quick and clean sections consistently to get through it.

Oh no it's raining fire aaaah

Turns out mortars don't actually do anything if you go fast enough.
The moment the game renders, haul ass straight forwards. You want to go right down the street on the right side, where the first mortar shells will fall. If you run there immediately, you'll outrun them. Don't worry about the little staircase. Just cut the cleanest line between table and boxes.

After this, there's one guy in front, one PKP guy on the right, then one guy on the right in the window and 2-4 guys straight ahead. One will pop in as you approach the arch.

Once you get past the archway, stick to the left. You want to get inside the building that's directly where the lights will be cast. There is one guy in the building at the window, then one immediately on your right in a stall, then one on the left before the window.

Let the first shells fall, then come out and hug the wall. One guy on your right immediately after the shanty's corner, then one guy on the roof and one guy in the shanty he is standing on.

There are some RNG spawns across all these sections, anyone I didn't mention is random.

THROW A SMOKE AT THE BARREL CART. If you don't, the sniper will kill you. There is nothing you can do about this. He shoots on spawn reaction and you will die. It will also make the ambush at the corner trivial since nobody can shoot you.

One guy on top of the building immediately ahead, then one in the container to your left. Walk. Don't run. The moment you're past the container, haul ass to the window of the mortar building to the left. A squad of goons with perfect accuracy is about to pour out of the street on the right. Try getting into the window ASAP. You will almost CERTAINLY get shot at least once. These guys literally can't miss, I've actually tested a wall peek and got shot 8 times in two seconds. They're just like that.

There will be a guy leaping across the doorway as you enter. Pop him.

I'm kicking your stupid bomb lobbers

Once you get into the mortar building, peek first floor. One guy on each side. Walk in a bit and one guy on each side on your level will pop from each door. To your right there is an open door with a guy in there with a pink shirt. Cap him, then go upstairs.

RNG spawn in the door to your left. Go straight forwards, there is a guaranteed spawn at the staircase, but sometimes he runs back up. at the bottom of the staircase there is a guy camping the corner. Pop both of them, then go up.

As you approach the crates in front of the staircase, a guy will spawn there. There is a guy on your right on the other side of the balcony. Kill both, but stay a bit to the right or the aimhack jerks from earlier will decimate you, since they're still there.

Jump on the water tank next to the window right of the staircase. From there, jump on the mortar balcony, and shoot them. There is a guy immediately ahead of you behind the water tower, but he's a bit blind so you can shoot his legs. Get the last mortar on the left, then drop down on the tarp-covered thing straight ahead, then the sheet metal awning to the street.

Three guys will appear to the left and they're pretty good shots, though not as good as the guys from earlier. I suggest going prone and killing them first.

tower of cower

Go through the zigzag of sheet metal to the crane base. Two guys on the right. Enter the building from the front door, there is a guy straight ahead on the staircase and one on the left immediately next to the door. Get up one flight of stairs to the mid-level platform, crouch and look way up to get the guy on the fourth floor.

Once your stamina is back up, run allllll the way to the last floor and ignore everyone except the guy that is immediately in front of the staircase. You'll want to heal here. Kill the sniper in the window of the building across the street.

Go to the top floor using the collapsed concrete and mind your sightlines. Sweep the building from left to right, this will kill both rocketeers and the sniper quickly.

There are a few guys that are hard to see in the windows and one on a wooden tower that has a bad angle, but once you nail all of them, you're good. Go all the way back down the building. You don't need to clear any floors but be ready to pop guys that run at you.

Mandatory auto scroller!!! Yay!

The way to the next building is mostly eventless with a few low accuracy soldiers and that's it. Stick to the left once you approach to clear two rocketeers and a bunch of jerks, so that you don't get turned into salsa as you approach the door.

Enter the building, go upstairs and say hello to the Rangers to trigger the objective. Now take out your pistol and go back to the staircase. Position yourself sort of like this.

You're going to sit there like a lemon for 3 minutes and kill a LUDICROUS amount of people that come in batches of up to 10 at a time. Their accuracy is low but you still want to dome them ASAP before things get bad.

You don't need to keep any rangers alive, don't worry about it.

Once it's over, go downstairs, then all the way to the right to follow the technicals. There will be a few goons but that's it.

why can't you just shoot the damn building already!

If you've gone fast, take your time. This section is butts and you shouldn't lose a run to panicking after what must have been about ten minutes of nonsense already.

Methodically pick off the soldiers as you approach the building, then go inside. The big problem is the sniper, who is in a bad position. Heal, and try to peek to kill him. Once he's disposed of, carefully go get the markers, then pop a smoke, throw it where you have to throw it, and there you go. Hide somewhere to stay safe and it's over. Finally.
Mogadishu Marathon
We're going to use this weird trick called patience
This level is on rails to a degree. Enemies with machineguns are significantly more accurate than in other levels, so you have to be careful and pick off foes quickly and efficiently. Memorizing spawns, more than ever, is basically mandatory.

This may come off as a surprise, but the vehicles are not good cover. Do not think of them as being good cover. Do not use them as cover, ESPECIALLY when healing and when snipers are around. Stick to one side of the street and use buildings for cover.

The convoy has a ~110m zone around it that is considered "in bounds". Outside of that, you'll get killed for being OOB, so keep that in mind.

Keep your sightlines limited and use enemy bullet flashes to localize them.

The general idea is that you want to stick to one side for most of the level, then to the other. There are a few spots that REALLY suck that you need to master. Other areas are generally very predictable. Basically, if it's between two buildings, it sucks. I'll exceptionally give Suckage Stars from * to *** based on how reset-heavy this spot is.

Mogadishu Mile is a level that will feel very long. Technically you'll spend less time in a cleared run than in NSDQ. The difference is that NSDQ, somehow, has more "dead air". Not a sentence I was expecting to write but here you go.

I strongly suggest you crank your brightness all the way, and then use your GPU's setting to increase it a little more and max out contrast. This level has really bad visibility and this will help you a lot. You'll see in the screenshots when I started doing that.

down the alley we go SUCKAGE: *

Immediately go right. We'll only go left much later in the map. Go down the alleyway. There are three guaranteed spawns and nothing else. The first is behind the first motorcycle you'll see, and the second is immediately ahead of him. You'll see his butt sticking out. After you zigzag back to the right, there is a dude hiding behind a bicycle or somesuch. Pop him.

Manage your stamina so that you can run to the staircase, you don't want to stay outside very long. Ignore everyone else.

Go up the stairs, there is a guy immediately ahead and one in the room to your left, 100% guaranteed every run. Go past the archway and peek the window to kill both snipers. If you lean they're harmless.

There should be a guy down left and one further ahead. The left guy is priority. The one further in isn't, but it helps.

Jump down the truck slightly to the right to avoid fall damage. Run straight ahead and enter the building to your right.

ow oof my bones my bone marrow SUCKAGE : ***

As you exit it from the other end, there are two enemies guaranteed in front, and a whole lot of RNG. This encounter ranges from 2 guys to EIGHT if you're insanely unlucky. Enemies can come from the back and the left, and they will do so without giving you any breaks whatsoever. I suggest just hauling ass and sticking as much to the right as possible.

Get inside the ruins to the right. There is a guy peeking you from the top left, through a ruined roof, and there is another one dead ahead in the next ruin.

Once you clear both, peek the next corner and kill the PKP guy across the street. Everyone else is mostly ignorable. Go inside and through the doorways. 2-3 guys in the doorway to the right. Clean up the street from your hidey hole.

There is a guy with a RPG on the ruined second floor. You must kill this guy. If you don't he'll ruin your day across the entire next section.

Turn right and go into the alleyway once you exit the ruin. There is a guy straight ahead of you peeking from the left. Once you get to where he is, immediately turn right because there is a bozo hiding in the rubble pile waiting to fill your butt with AK rounds.
After this you'll find this building.

If you wait at the window a guy will swooce in from the right. Kill him and then go through the door to find a guy immediately ahead of you.

Proceed through the building, but before you get to the window, check the doorway to your right because there is a guy in ambush here. After this there is someone in the ruin ahead of you that can waddle about anywhere in it, and a guy at the far right peeking around the corner.

Once you get rid of both, go through the building, and go right. Peek that corner. You'll be facing a series of balconies. There is a guy on the third floor dead center who'll take shots at you, so dome him.

After this, look at the chunk of rebar sticking out of the ruined wall. It'll line you up with the second guy hiding here. Do some cleaning to the side, then reach the concrete barricade. You want to jump on the barricade, and then immediately turn around to drop clean through the window.

This corridor is 100% consistent and easy once you get it down. One guy at every doorway in the center, one guy at the first doorway to your right, one guy in the first doorway of the second room, and one in the last doorway before the exit (still to the right).

oh my GAH station SUCKAGE: ***

Immediately as you leave, you'll be accosted by a veritable horde of bastards with poor visibility. Stand on the windowsill and kill the guys around the ruined family bus immediately. Go straight behind the concrete barricade and take some time killing as many people as you can. Then, climb the barricade, and JUMP OVER THE BIKE. DO NOT FALL ONTO THE BIKE.

Run like a lunatic to the ledge in front of you and jump up and to the right. You should be using your FIRST HEAL of the entire level here. If you had to heal before uhh sucks to suck ig

Prepare a smoke. The moment you exit, you want to throw one dead ahead. The fuel station is carnage central and there's two snipers. The area is full of high accuracy goons hiding behind bushes and stuff that makes it hard as hell to see them, so you'll have to be patient.

Run through the smoke and get in front of the pickup truck in the gas station to kill both snipers and the guy ahead of you.

Take your time to slowly move forwards to the building on the left, clearing enemies on the left side. Some will spawn in the corner of the street. Continue to the right, maneuvering around cover, paying close attention to the right, until you get to the brick walls. I suggest you try and get to the rubble to the right as fast as possible. Keep quickly cleaning until you find the truck on the sidewalk. There should be around 6 guys to shoot at on average here.

Jump over the truck and go straight right, and this section is over. Whew.

You are halfway through the map at this point. Congratulations!

panic recovery section SUCKAGE: **
Mortars will start falling. Ignore them since they can't reach you. Keep going to the right and sweeping buildings. There will be a technical spawning right as you exit the building, and a rocketeer too.

Sniper in the same building later. Once you get him, cross the street and keep left until the end of the map.
Moregadishu Marathon
heat street: deadly africanized version SUCKAGE: **

Continue following the buildings to the left. You'll notice the spawn rate has become utterly deranged, with buildings sometimes having five to eight goons in there. Get used to it because it'll be like this for a while.

Every time you exit a building you want to pause and kill anyone you see, because there is a LOT of aggro going around. Technicals MUST be de-MG'd as soon as you spot them, because gunners have laser beams that will ligmatize you if you exist in their field of vision for more than a second.

There is a lot of very annoying debris circonvolution to handle. Don't enter every building. Just go as far left as you can. A yellow building has a staircase that goes along its side, and there are technicals after every corner, more or less.

Eventually you'll reach an area with a green light shining on the ground and about 3-5 goons in the area. You should try your damnedest to have at least 2 meds at this very point. If you have none you're in BIG trouble.

What follows is going to be absolutely brutal, even by the standards of this map.

Keep sticking to the left, at some point you'll know the bad part is up because two snipers will be shooting at you. Immediately haul ass to the left, again, but DO NOT PASS THE CORNER. We're going to sit there a bit, clean our back approach, and then carefully head up to get started with the final section.

Death Stranded in Death Crossing SUCKAGE: Eleventy Zillion *

The important part is that you need to peek as conservatively as possible and never, NEVER hug the most forward wall. Sightline control is paramount here.

You're going to pick a fight with two snipers and about four rocketeers, as well as several technicals. Do NOT rush this. There is a corner and the convoy will slow down. What you must do is carefully pinpoint and eliminate each special in order from most conservative to least conservative angle. If you can manage that, you're golden.

The sniper on the main building can be seen and shot from outside his range, so do that. There's going to be a tuk-tuk that lies perpendicular to the road. You can settle down behind it and line up your shots. After this you'll want to try and kill every rocketeer you can see on the building to the right. There's three, but the last one is probably not visible from there.

Progressing forwards, there'll be a sniper on a building on the left side that'll show up very close to where you are. You can approach him from the building immediately in front, which lets you peek comfortably, but rocketeers can and WILL shoot you with AOE that hits through the walls if you're in there going up the stairs, so be careful.

Once you killed BOTH snipers and ALL THREE rocketeers (there may be a fourth), the hardest part of the mission is OVER. Everything after this is mostly easy. You'll just be panicking and low on ammo, so take a deep breath, and let's finish this.

Sprint to the finish SUCKAGE : *

Once you round the corner, if you have at least one med, your woes are over. Your pistol can glitch out and become unable to aim, so make sure you have M16 ammo.

Just stick to the left. There will be a rocketeer on each hangar to your right, and one rocketeer on a lone platform a little after that, in the middle of the street. Just keep to the left and carefully pick off enemies as you advance.

There will be a technical full of goons but they can't do anything until it stops, so unload into it to make it blow up. Once you get past 3 final waves of enemies and the rockeeters, run like smeg to the end of the map. Do not stop running for anything. Just go as fast as you can. The last thing you want is to miss outstanding because you walked to the end.

If you finished and haven't gotten Outstanding uhhh do it all faster, I guess. Godspeed.
