Class 43 - First Great Western

Kuvaus
We had First Great Western HST, but what about Second Great Western HST?
This is an enhancement pack for FGW HSTs, featuring 43010, 43020 and 43027

History

First up is 43010, a powercar known for being unknown - with First Great Western, it has never carried a name. It was overhauled in June 2007, previously it carried First Barbie livery. In December 2020, it was given GWR livery at Doncaster. This powercar was pulled out of service in January 2023, used as a spares donor, and finally exported to Mexico in August 2023

43020 was also overhauled in 2007 but named in 2011 to celebrate the conversion of First Great Westerns HST fleet from using Paxman RP200 Valenta V12 engines to 16 cylinder MTU 4000 R41 engines. This locomotive in particular was overhauled in October 2007 at Loughborough. The plate was removed in 2024 and is now at Nemesis Rail, Burton-on-Trent still wearing First Great Western colours.

43027 was overhauled in 2007 like the others. This took place from March until May. In 2009, the locomotive was named "Glorious Devon", and retained the name until 2016 when a vinyl wrap was applied to commemorate the Queen of England's 90th birthday in April. The livery was kept until late 2018/early 2019. After this, the power car was left debranded and was loaned to First Hull Trains until the end of the year. It presumably sat in Laira TMD for another year before being taken to Doncaster and given Great Western Railway colours. It left GWR service in 2023 and is currently stored at Great Yarmouth docks awaiting shipment to Mexico.

What's included?

43010 with HD number, branding and danger decals

43020 with HD number, branding and danger decals, and with/without MTU nameplate

43027 with HD number, with/without branding and danger decals, and with/without "90 Glorious Years" livery

The plate can even be coloured if you care, but is more an afterthought than a feature :)

As always, a huge thanks to the folks over in the Transport Fever 2 UK discord server for general help and inspiration! If you've not already joined, follow this link: https://discord.gg/XVYTAqh (needless to say, it doesn't work if you're banned)

I've also opened a Ko-Fi to manage commissions and such, but it also features a tipping system so if that's your kinda thing I highly appreciate it. You can find this here: https://ko-fi.com/thecenturion

Thank you. That's a very welcome hint. I'll let you know if I find it.

If you are only seeing those ones, you might be in the wrong year for them

that should be right, but bare in mind that Northern Fail had a version of First Great Western high speed trains that he suggested i replace. If you were subscribed to that mod already, make sure to check which creator it is that made it in the mod enable menu

Sorry, I haven't checked yet so can you confirm if I'm wrong?
・Meshlabels
・British Rail Mk 3 Coaches
・British Rail Class 43 HST
・Centurion Core Mod Files
・Class 43 - First Great Western

I am using the All Available MOD, but since I couldn't check it I set the year to 2016.

・There are 10 types of "Class 43 HTS Powers Cars" in the diesel section.

・11 types of "BK MK3 Coaches" in the passenger section
・There are four types of "BK MK3 Coaches (Buffet)" in the passenger section.
・There are four types of "BK MK3 Coaches (Sleeper)" in the passenger section.

There are five types of multi-units:
"Inter-City 125"
"Hight Speed Train -BR Blue",
"Hight Speed Train - FGW Dynamic Lines",
"Hight Speed Train - GWR",
"Hight Speed Train - Intercity".
It may be because I'm checking the multiple units as they are, and checking the others by type for one car at a time, but where are they?

should be the link to the required HST. I tend to stay historical until 2007, then GNER stays rather than becoming NXEC. i'll find a use for them somewhere, even if i use them instead of the leased EMT set.

Hello takashi, you need the one by 'Killakanz'

@doubletrigger this depends on the ECML era you are set in, they fit in LNER days as all 3 powercars ran for Hull Trains temporarily between Hull and Kings Cross
takashi 16.5. klo 3.19
I ask with a sense of shame.
Do I need a British Rail Class 43 HST or a Great British Railways Class 43 HST?
I tried both but I can't seem to find it.
When the plate turns red, it's apparently a sign that the pound will rise, so please.
