[Episode 2] Beach Nun Secret / Achievement <The Last Door>
By Murphy's Lawyer
There is a lot of confusion about how to earn the secret for getting the Nun to meet you on the beach. I was able to get both that secret, as well as the related achievement "The Departed," all in one playthrough by following a certain path of gameplay. I am hoping that if others follow the same path, they can easily get through this part of the game that has given many a headache.

Methodology
From the mission start you will want to do the following:

Get the coin from the guy with the sister and the letters, and then get the music box from the classroom. Don't talk to the Nun upstairs yet.

Then go out and find the beach, you may want to get the log and net from the ground on the beach.

Then go to the Nun's room and talk to her. Chose the first option (the positive option) then immediately play the music box.

The nun will say something along the lines of: "Wow that’s the sign I’ve been waiting for! That song reminds me of happy days!" She then leaves.

Immediately follow the nun out… and as quickly as possible, move to the beach. You will probably want to leave the building via the front door and move to the beach from there, utilizing the quick-warp function and moving fast. She will be standing there on the beach. Talk to her there on the beach and unlock the secret. If she is not there, you were probably too slow.

Then leave the beach area, and return. You should find the nun's robes on the ground there, search them for THE DEPARTED achievement.

Then you are free to move on to the rest of the chapter.

So through this methodology, you should hopefully be able to get the Nun On The Beach Secret as well as get the achievement THE DEPARTED… all on one fluid playthrough of Episode 2.

Apparently I got it without reading the guide. Go figure.

I did this rightly with all the steps, And i did use the quick-warp function, And did click the women when she was on the beach, But still no achievment for master of the occult, Have i done something wrong? (P.S, I finished all the other secrets, So i decided to do this one as the final since it seemingly is the hardest from the others.)

Can one get the achievement at the end of the game by replaying just episode 2? Or do you have to replay the whole game afterwards?

Yes I agree with everything you said. I indeed used the front door path to go to the beach and I spammed the mouse fast to move as quickly as possible and to trigger quick-travels. I am pretty sure the timing is the key to it now. I will update the guide's wording to be a bit more concise now that I'm more confident in understanding how it works.

Oh, and you don't have to do anything after you speak to her in order to get The Departed. Just exit and reenter the area, and the clothes should be on the ground.

This worked for me on the first try. I'm pretty sure it's all in the timing.

If you keep missing her, you can do two things to get there more quickly:

1) Use the "fast exit" mechanic by double-clicking doorways. You skip right to the next area with no walking.

2) There are two routes to the backyard, and one is way shorter.

The longer way is via the hospital room - probably what most people try. Unfortunately you have to walk the entire length of the room to get to the back door, which may eat up just enough time to miss the nun.

To shorten that time, you can access the beach via the front door in the lobby. The veeery left of the courtyard screen connects to the backyard. Walk past the graves while spam-clicking the lower left corner, and you'll jump to the beach before you even reach the fence.

This consistently works for me. So assuming you "fast exit" every location and use the front door route, you should beat the clock no problem.

Yeah, but most of us didn´t had that same luck, even replaying the episode more than 10 times XD
Im sure if the others who quit from this achievement find the same patience i did, they´ll find this short guide very but very helpul.

Yes sir, I'm glad it helped you! When I played this game I saw on the forums the struggle people were having with this achievement so when I played I went into the level with the focus of figuring it out and I pretty much just got lucky.

And yeah, I am pretty sure the key to it is to be super fast about following the nun because I think the time factor is what determines if she will be there, or only her robes.
