I thought I was done with guides! Surprise, I'm not! Anyway, this will be a series of guides to cover achievments that are difficult to get and cause aggrivation. These guides will cover the issues that some have with them, and how to obtain them. The first one being the achievement Dignity for the Dead.

"Kill 10 Specimens Feeding on Dead Teammates Corpses."

The Intro

With multiplayer being one of the highlights of Killing Floor's gameplay, you would think that the achievement Dignity for the Dead would be one of the first achievements that a player would obtain. This is not the case. Often a specimen will not feed on a player and switch to another target right away. I will tell you now that this is irritating for people who are hunters of achievements. Now let's get to what causes this irritation.

The Issue

There are multiple issues with this achievement that make it difficult to obtain.

There are only three specimens that will feed on players: Clots, Gorefasts, and Crawlers. They will only feed on a dead player if another player is not in their direct line of sight. They will also stop feeding if they are not instantly killed by whatever gun the player is using. Meaning that it will not count towards the amount of kills required.
This is a very buggy achievement, often not registering even when a line of specimens die to one rocket.

The Solution

Get yourself almost killed and then throw a grenade. This is actually a common way to get the achievement, since killing specimens feeding on your own corpse with a grenade will count towards the amount of kills required. This will only work on a multiplayer sever with at least one person on it.

First, have a group of Zeds follow you around and lead them away from the rest of your team.
Kill any Zeds that may hinder the achievement. Here is a list of unimportant or achievment threatening Zeds.

a. Stalkers: They will not feed on your corpse, and are just there to distract you.

b. Husks: Although uncommon, a Husk may cause your grenade to explode too early, specifically the default grenade, which may kill your hunters too soon.

c. Bloats: They won't destroy a grenade like the Husk, but their vomit will most likely get other specimens that are feeding on you killed, so it will steal your kill in a sense.

d. Sirens: Kill these screaming ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at ALL costs. They will destroy your grenade with their scream and will leave you without a single kill.
Right as you are about to be killed throw a grenade. There are some options rather than the stock grenade.

a. A level 3+ Firebug has special incendiary grenades that will do a large burst of flame damage shortly after contact with the ground. However it may kill the Zeds before they start to feed on your corpse.

b. Any level Field Medic has special grenades that heal players and damage Zeds. Although it does slow damage over time, it will not cause Zeds to stop feeding on you. This makes it perfect for obtaining this achievement. However throwing more than one grenade may kill the Zeds too fast.
It takes timing. It takes a well placed grenade to kill a couple Zeds feeding on your corpse. Also, it may take a few tries to get it properly.

Has anyone actually attempted it without another person on the server? I would like to think that you could join an empty server and effectively solo this in multiplayer.

Managed to do this achievement as a medic after multiple failed attempts with pipebombs

I can't remember exactly. It's been a long time since I played, but I would make sure at least one other person is on the server just to be safe.

This was my last achievement to get, thanks to poster for the advice.

Here is what we did and hopefully this will help you guys get it smoother.

1. Loaded up Abusement park on normal with a friend. He made a dedicated server.

2. I moved up to the bullseye area infront of spawn and horded up the clots. My buddy hid in the spawn behind the wagon.

3. Pick medic as the medic nade is the best, killing the clots slowly and allowing time for them to feed.

4. When I was 20> hp I spammed the medic nades and got achievement, went from 4/10 to 10/10

This way was definitely better than playing a frustrating 6+ rounds
