On the First Day I Built an Army & On the Second Day I Got a Gift

First Day and Second Day achievements can be done in one go. Getting 8 or more archers on the first day make saving up the money for 2 upgrades to your camp extremely easy.

Recruit 8 archers on the first day.

In addition to the two that spawn at the camp, you'll need 6 more (or 3 camps worth) of recruits.
This is how I managed to do it:
  1. Skip the initial cutscene
  2. Sprint to the right, towards town and pick up all the gold
  3. Recruit both guys at camp, light the fire
  4. Buy 1 bow only, let the other guy wander around camp, you need the gold
  5. Immediately head to the LEFT side, hire the two at the closest camp (it's pretty far...)
  6. Go to the RIGHT side, past your camp. Hire the peasants at the two camps (these are closer)
  7. Finally, collect the gold your archer has been farming, and only buy bows, should be done before Day 2

Get free walls on the second day.

If you managed to get 8 archers on the first day, all you need to do now is collect the gold from your hunters and upgrade your camp twice. You need 1 worker to build the walls (wooden barricades).
On the Third Day I Lit a Fire

Do not start your camp until day 3.

Really easy! You only need 6 gold to get this achievement, and you start with 10. Night of Day 1, there will be 1 troll from each side. Just bribe (drop a gold for) each troll in front of them before they reach you, and they'll carry it back to a portal, ignoring you. On the night of Day 2, there will be 2 trolls from each side.
On the Fourth Day We Had a Feast

Hunt 20 deer before the end of day four.

Once you know how to herd deer, you can easily get 6 per day.

To herd deer, save up your sprint until you are just close enough that they will start running away from you. This is when you start sprinting towards them. Once you get close enough to them, they start to run in the opposite direction toward you.

You need to make sure you have at least 2 archers on both sides to effectively hunt the deer, as it takes two arrows to kill a deer. Obviously, the more archers you have, the higher the likelihood that you will kill a deer.
For Five Days I Turned the Other Cheek

Kill nothing until day six.

Prepare to lose for this achievement.
Do not bother recruiting, you will need all the gold you can get, and you cannot kill anything anyway. Immediately upon starting (and skipping intro), start the camp, but do not upgrade it. You will need the 5 daily gold from the chest.

For the most part, except for Day 4, the Day # coincides with the amount of trolls that appear at night from each side.

  • Day 1 = 1 + 1 = 2 trolls
  • Day 2 = 2 + 2 = 4 trolls
  • Day 3 = 3 + 3 = 6 trolls
  • Day 4 = 3 + 3 = 6 trolls
  • Day 5 = Blood Moon = ? trolls
  • Total = 18 trolls + Blood Moon trolls

    Gold you will have:
    10 starting gold + 5 (Day 2) + 5 (Day 3) + 5 (Day 4) + 5 (Day 5) = 30 gold.
29 gold after spending 1 for the camp.

That is 11 extra to pay off some Blood Moon trolls. To be safe, you can explore each side looking for the bonus gold chest. There is always one on each side. The contents of which I think are another 6-7 gold each (not entirely sure). Be prepared to save sprinting stamina, and sprint past portals to avoid spawning a troll in order to get to bonus chests. On Day 5, if you obtained the extra gold from 2 bonus gold chests, that is enough to hire a worker, and build 1 wall (and upgrade it once) to buy you enough time to figure out which side the Blood Moon trolls are coming from and then run the opposite direction to the end of the map. To figure this out, run to one side of the map, if the closest portal is not "on" meaning there is no red liquidy portal substance, then the Blood Moon wave will be coming from the opposite side. You should then drop most of your coins in front of your wall so that most trolls will go away, allowing your wall to stay up longer while you escape to the far side.

By Day Six I Was Rich

Have more gold than you can carry by day six.

This can be achieved one of two ways:
  1. Earn more gold than your bag can carry

This one is the most obvious one, and may be difficult for those who cannot get a steady income with farms. All you need is around 30+ gold and you will more than likely drop some of the next gold coins you try to pick up.

  2. Have a coin miss your bag when you pick it up

This is the way I earned the achievement. My bag was far from full when I went to pick up some gold as I was sprinting by, one of the gold coins dropped out of my bag and into the water. There may be a higher chance of your coins falling out when you pick them up if you are sprinting by, maybe juking back and forth.
On the Eigth Day I Fumbled

A nimble ruler will never let his money touch the ground.

Tsk, tsk. They misspelled 'eighth' for the achievement. Anyways. I haven't gotten around to this achievement yet, but in theory... you cannot get hit by a troll (they bump a coin out of you), and you need to make sure when you recruit a peasant, they CATCH the coin. It cannot, by any means, go from your pouch to the ground. Line up the peasant with your leg, then drop the coin and they will catch it every time.
On the Ninth Day I First Ran

Do not let your steed run away before this day.

Confusing description, but the gist is you cannot run with your horse at all until Day 9. Once it is Day 9, make sure to run to get the achievement. Simply put, do not hold shift or double tap a directional key at all until Day 9. I personally have not gotten this achievement yet because I have a mechanical keyboard, and I accidentally double tap A or D.

To anyone unable to get past invisible wall even after beating the game: do hold down to skip. it skips tutorial as well

Under no circumstances do you get eight archers. There isn't enough gold collected and even if there was the last peasants haven't even arrived in camp before the greed get them.

i confirm the saying below works for ninth day "don't skip tutorial and run on day X"

Note: "Kill nothing until day six"
The trolls can come from both sides during bloodmoon, but it is easily manageable if you have the 2 chests.

I believe you should not skip the tutorial in order to get the ninth day achievement.
