The thing that's troubling most people is the fact that they finish the game and can't find any pretzels on their second play through. Sadly, I find that the only way to reset this is to uninstall the game and reinstall it. This way, the next time you boot up the game, the pretzels will be in their correct places.

Tip #2

The sneaky developers of this game have apparently blocked achievements if you happen to alt-tab out of the game or if you pull up the in game Steam menu. If you need to look at a guide, download the Steam app on your phone and look at the guide through there. If you have already done so, uninstall the game and reinstall again.

I understand that these procedures might be a bit time-consuming and tedious, but hey, 100% is 100%.

I wasn't able to find any pretzels so I just went back to the main menu then started up a new game and they were there. I've also heard that you can't get multiple achievements (pretzels/coins) in the same playthrough so you'll have to ignore one and only collect the other the whole playthrough then play it again for the one you didn't get. I'd also recommend exiting the game after each achievement because the game seems to have trouble giving achievements in future playthroughs otherwise. Hope this helps.

I had no pretzels the first playthrough but the second time they were everywhere.

For some reason I didn't have any pretzels not just in my second playthrough, but in my first as well. The only pretzel I could find was the one behind the curtain to the left of the door to the weather room. There may have been some others in the more obscure locations, but there were certainly many places that should have pretzels that didn't. Very strange bug. All I had to do to fix it was relaunching the game though, and fortunately I had no problems with achievements being blocked for using the Steam overlay.

How irritating, thanks for wasting my time, you punish people who use guides on PC even though there's alternate ways of checking guides, stupid.

Theoretically, as long as you don't alt+tab out or pull up the in-game menu you shouldn't have a problem.

Thank for pointing 'Alt-Tab' out. I've been going through the game 3 times now, always wondering were I miss a pretzel.
