Introduction
Hey guys!
My name's Muhee, I'm a diamond player, and I have been around since Beta so I felt it's finally the time to write a guide for one of the decks I used to climb the ladder.
Before we start, know that this deck is advanced level, meaning that it's not cheap, it costs 8560 Crystals, but I will try to provide alternatives for cards, and some tech cards if the meta changes.
Win Condition
First, start with the goal, the win condition of the deck.
Your aim is to reach the final battle at the end of Chapter 5 with as much AP and Armor as you can stack up. Pretty simple, isn't it?
Very few cards interact with your opponent but that doesn't mean you don't have to be cautious, it's the opposite, you always need to keep in mind what your opponent can play, because there are a big monsters in this deck, and you don't charge into them recklessly.
Decklist and Rewards
As I have mentioned before this version of the deck costs 8560 Crystals, but it still can be improved, I still lack a few tech cards that can be better than the ones I use. This deck uses a lot of universal cards, that when once crafted can be used in a wide variety of decks.

Support cards:
1x Kyzaj Tournament
1x Full Tetsu
1x Stamina Potion

Fight / Creature cards:
1x Kayle
2x KGP Agent
1x Wormbrain
2x Crassian Warrior
2x Dagannoth Fledgling
1x Kalphite Emissary
2x Rock Crab
2x White Wolf
2x Count Draynor
2x Ice Nihil
2x Animated Armour
2x Culinaromancer
2x Sergeant Slimetoes
2x TzTok-Jad
2x Dagannoth Sentinel

Rewards:
4x Weapon
8x Base Attack
13x Gold
64x Health
31x Armor
Comboes
I think most of the cards are pretty easy to understand, but i will to give you some tips, how you can get the most out of your cards.
One thing to keep in mind, that you can facetank 1 hit from most of your creatures, because you have a lot of heal, altough you really, I mean REALLY SHOULD kill TzTok-Jad in 1 hit.

The good way to kill Dagannoth Sentinel:
At first the Sentinel might seem quite frightening, but once you get to know him he is quite the cuddly guy and a very good drinking budy.
You should always confront him with at least 5 attack. This can be achieved by building up your Base Attack, or equipping Slimetoes' or Kayle's weapon first (this can be done at 2 Base Attack), that way you will be hit once for 8 damage, then you will be healed back by 5, meaning you only lose 3 Health.
Another way is using Count Draynor, but for it to work, you need at least 3 Attack (it can be base, or can be weapon), but it's even better if you have 5 Attack. If you have 3 Attack, you kill the Count first, that way you deal 4 Damage to the Sentinel, bringing it down to 5 health meaning you only get hit by him once for 8 damage, then you will be healed back by 5, meaning you only lose 3 Health, just like when you use a weapon. Now, if you have 5 Attack, it's even better because you can kill the Count in 1 hit, then kill the Sentinel too in 1 hit. And you know what's the best part? You even heal for 9 Health this way.

How to kill TzTok-Jad:
Against Jad you need to get your math right, VERY RIGHTm if you are off by 1 damage, and get hit by him, it can easily result in you losing your advantage, or if you are behind, your death.
To kill him with a weapon, you need to have 4 Base Attack in Slimetoes' weapon's case, or 3 Base Attack in Kayle's weapon's case.
To kill him with Count Draynor, you need to have at least 3 Base Attack.

How to use Count Draynor:
The most important rule: always make sure that you can actually steal that 4 Health, if you are already at 30 health, you won't steal anything, meaning you won't deal any damage to the Creature following Draynor.
1 risky play you can pull of with Draynor is to put him in the 3rd slot in chapter 1 against an Aggro deck, and putting Jad in the 4th. It's risky, you need to gain at least 1 Base attack in the first 2 slots, otherwise Jad will hit you back. And it's risky because you need to actually take damage before Draynor, so he can steal that 4 health from Jad, and bring him to 3 Health, and not 4.

When to kill Animated Armor:
Basically anytime if you can kill him in 1 hit, otherwise that reward is not that big. Ohh, and if you use a weapon to kill it, make sure, that you will still have the weapon after dealing the killing blow, that way you get armor for your weapon's attack too.

Wormbrain:
He is there for the times you go against other AP gain decks. Against aggro he is mostly unused or only killed if it doesn't remove any gold, because you really need that gold for the healing.

Ice Nihil:
It's the same case as animated armour, kill it, when you can do it in 1 hit, although it is recommended to save it for later chapters, when your oppenent has more Base Attack, and/or has a weapon equipped.
Mulligan
The cards you should go for are KGP Agent, and Kyzaj Tournament.
If you have one of those you can also keep Crassion Warrior, and Dagannoth Fledgling.
You can also keep Kayle + Sentinel, or Slimetoes + Sentinel, these comboes can be kept, even if you don't have KGP or Kyzay Tournament.
Kayle + Jad should only be kept, if you have KGP or Kyzaj Tournament, and you are 100% your base attack won't be reduced.
Once nieche mulligan that can work sometimes, but only against non-aggro decks, is Slimetoes + Sentinel, followed by Draynor + Jad.
If you know you are against an Aggro deck, you can also keep Rock crab it can be killed at 2 based for basically no risk.
Cards Replacements
Unfortunately there aren't many cards that can be easily replaced.

You can easily run, 1 extra Full Tetsu instead of the Stamina Potion or vice versa.

Kalphite emissary can be replaced with Bash, Giant Rat, or even better Black Knight Titan.

Culinaromancer can be Replaced with Void Brawler.

Sergeant Slimetoes can be replaced with Barbarian Warrior.

If you running into a lot of other AP Gain decks, you should consider replacing Rock Crab with Ogre Chieftain.

A good addition can be Barricade and Corpoeral beast too, and if you are running these too, you should also add Dondakan's Cannon, and some more Gold gain.

Final Words
I really hope this little guide helped you understand the game and one of it's decks a bit more.
Ohh, and don't be shy to ask any question, I will answer as quickly as I can.

And don't forget to check back to this Guide section, because I will be posting some other decks in the upcoming days.

See ya in Ranked, BYE.

Bash is pretty good too. Denying the weapon at the right time can mean a lot of damage for the unfortunate player.

What kind of strategy would be considered a hard counter to this deck? I'm seeing a lot of variants on ladder and I haven't racked up enough hours in the game to play around them yet

I do not have TzTok-Jadd or Kayle... but I am using Jogre Shaman and Mej Kehkeh (or whatever it is called) and Morwenna, seems to work well (Y)
