Editing the Compatibility Settings

Enable DirectPlay

Start the game

Comments

Editing the Compatibility Settings

Right click on the game in your Steam library
Click Properties
Change to Local Files tab
Click Browse Local Files...
(Windows Explorer will open)
Now right click on RCT2.EXE
Click Properties
Change to Compability tab
Select Run this program in compability mode for: Windows 8
Select Reduced color mode 16-bit (65536 color)
Select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
Select Run this program as an administrator
Click Apply
Click OK

Enable DirectPlay

Open Windows Explorer
Enter Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features in Adress Bar and press Enter
Click on Turn Windows features on or off
Expand Legacy Features
Enable DirectPlay
Click OK

Start the game

I had success with Windows 98 compatibility mode, reduced color unchecked, run as admin checked.

or just download openrct2 and run that instead

Why every time I quit the game does it require me to reinstall the game the next time why does it happen every time I just paid money?

Yeah nah mate, the tab for compability doesn't exist when I right click properties in the games folder

Help . the programm don't start the window shows please insert a cd into the drive.
