Overview
A lot of players have been experiencing problems with Dr Langeskov achievements not unlocking, and after spending close to three hours trying to work out why, I've finally unlocked them all and will tell you how in this handy guide.

First things first: work on getting one achievement at a time: ONE ONLY. That's the only unfortunate part of this game that I found - beside it being very short - is that you have to play the game 6 times to get each achievement. As you can imagine playing this game over and over just to get all the achievements is a tiresome job so I wish you luck.

Secondly make sure you leave those Pretzels alone until your very last achievement, otherwise they'll interfere with you trying to nab other achievements.

Thirdly: if you struggle to unlock an achievement after your first run through, try closing you game and re-opening it again. Yes it's a tiring process but it worked for me when I struggled to unlock.

Lastly: You can crouch by holding "c".

NEVER open the Steam Overlay when going through the game, you will not be able to unlock achievements. Make sure to have guides open on your phone instead otherwise you'll have a tough time.

**Disabling the Steam Overlay didn't work for me - that's why I created this guide.
The Achievements
I personally tried to work on achievements in their respective order just to make it easier. However I would reccomend hunting in this particular order to prevent frustration in playing the game over and over and over again:

  1. Begin The Heist - This was you can get a feel for the game, look around, take note of everything around you and take your time. Allow this first run to be enjoyable.
  2. Orange Thief - You can knock this one out the park very quickly, one you've collected this one you can restart and work on the next one.
  3. In The Shadows - This one is going to take you slightly further into the game but is still relitivly quicker.
  4. Messy Operation - This achievements takes you through majority of the game for 3 brooms, almost doesn't seem worth it but save it for close to the end.
  5. Just Starting Out - Those rascal francs are everywhere, and you need all of them for this achievement to unlock. Good luck.
  6. Every Nook and Cranny (Hidden) - This is you final and hidden/locked achievement, you'll want to save this to last and be prepared. It's a killer.
Achievments Indepth
To get the Orange Thief achievement, you'll need 7 francs - 5 of which are located in the starting room, the next 2 are right in the corner of the first door frame you go through - just don't go too far or that door will shut in your face.

In The Shadows only requires you to turn off 3 lamps - be sure to turn the second lamp on and off otherwise it doesn't count it and you won't get the achievement.

Messy Operation is easy, you just have to knock over 3 brooms, it's just the venturing into the game for another round that starts getting hard.

Just Starting Out can be tricky as francs do tend to blend in with the surroundings, I won't be posting where you can locate them as there is a very good guide out there that can give you all the locations.

Finally we have Every Nook and Cranny which is a real pain, because by now you've started the game six times, and this will no doubt be the third - at a minimum - time you're playing to the end. Again, there is a great guide out there that gives you all the locations of the Pretzels so I won't be putting that here, but be on the lookout for them. Before running through the door for that last Pretzel, I'd reccomend picking up the salty snack and waiting a couple seconds just to check the acheivement registers - you don't want to run through all that again!
Closing
Before I sign off, the guide I've been referring to for pretzel and franc locations is called "100% Achievement Guide- The Road to actually play the Game?" and is a great guide to have a look at if you're stuck on a location, definitely be sure to take a look.

Good luck and happy hunting, I hope this was able to help.

This dev has a track record for winding up achievement hunters (see Stanley Parable's Unachievable achievement) so this is to be expected.

Achievments not unlocking if you open steam overlay is a thing to prevent ppl using guides to unlock achievments, some other games do it too i think

I don't think you need to play 6 times. First time I got the "start the game" achievement, second time I was carrying the tape player and no other achievements (that I definitely got, like the orange soda one) popped. On my third playthrough I didn't carry the tape player, and was able to get 4 other achievements (excluding the one for all coins) even while using Steam overlay.
