General
Efficient
Use more than 95% of the metal and energy you produce in a match

Limit the number of metal extractors and power plants you build, you need to avoid having an excess of both resources. Play on easy and follow the method for ruthless if necessary.

Fully Operational
Activate an annihilaser

Play on a skirmish map with a metal planet, or find a system with a metal planet in Galactic War. Use advanced fabricator units to build five Catalysts on the shooty end, and when prompted destory any other planetoid in the system.

Jack of All Trades
Build every kind of basic factory

Easily done in a skirmish where all factories are available from the start. Simply build a vehicle factory, a bot factory, an air factory, an orbital launcher and a naval factory. Requires a planet with water.

Technological Terror
Destroy five enemy planets with annihilases

Do as for Fully Operational, but five times against planetoids occupied by the enemy.

You can create a custom system with several planets and a metal planet, and start yourself on the metal planet with several other commanders starting off-world. It should then take no time to do this.

Saving before annhilasing a planet should allow you to reload and blast the same planet again with it repeatedly counting towards this achievement.

Ruthless
Kill a commander within five minutes, five times

The easiest way to accomplish this is to start a new game on Galactic War and use the bottom right loadout, Bionic Augmentation Commander Of Networking (BACON). This loadout improves your commander's movement speed, health and damage output. You can unlock all Galactic War loadouts by installing a mod from the in-game community mod browser.

Once you have this loadout on Galactic War, acquire bot/vehicle/air tech from empty systems and invade systems with one planet. Build a single factory at the start of each game, and then go looking for the enemy. Use the factory to build fabbers, use the fabbers to build radars. You just need to find the enemy and your commander can easily kill them.

Warning: installing a community mod to unlock all Galactic War loadouts as I recommend may interfere with unlocking Technophile. So attempt that first.

Saving before killing the commander should allow you to reload and kill off the commander again, with it counting toward this achievement every time.

World Ender
Smash five enemy planets

Moons and Asteroid in the game can have Halleys built on them and then be steered into other planetoids, destroying both bodies. Do this five times to planetoids occupied by the enemy.

Again, this can be more easily done with custom made systems. Build a planet which you start on with a couple of moons (set them to only need one Halley in the editor, and to not be starting planets). Set up other starting planets with enemies on. Then play pool with planets, and repeat until this unlocks.

Saving before the smashing happens should allow you to reload and smash the same planets and have it count towards this achievement.

Field Commander
Manage your armies with all ten control groups

In a game, assign control groups when you have units selected with the numerical keys (0-9) and Ctrl. Recall them using the number keys alone.

IE, Press 'Ctrl+2' to set a control group for the six hundred air fabbers you built.
Press '2' to select the six hundred air fabbers you built for some reason.

Assign all ten control groups to unlock this achievement. It may require that there is no overlap in the units in each group, or that every group is composed of different kinds of unit. It is less simple to unlock than Panopticon.

Panopticon
Keep tabs on your conquest with ten camera anchors

In a game, assign camera anchors with the numerical keys (0-9) and Shift. Recall them with the numbers and Alt.

IE, Press 'Shift+1' to anchor a camera to your Commander.
Press 'Alt+1' to return to the camera anchored to your Commander.

Assign all ten camera anchors to unlock this achievement. They do not have to be specific or different, just hammer the keys and it should pop.

Him or Me
Target an incoming planet with an annihilaser

This can be difficult to get playing against AI. It may require that the enemy commander is on the planetoid at the time. It does not require that the planetoid is in motion, just that it has enough Halleys built by the enemy to move it.

Make a custom system with a metal planet for you to start on, and two moons which require one Halley to be moved. It would help to give yourself an economy boost, because you'd do well to cover the metal planet with Umbrellas and Anti-Nuke launchers to prevent any possible invasion. Wait for the AI to build Halleys, and save often in case you screw up.

One of Each
Build every kind of unit

Build every basic factory, build every advanced factory and an orbital factory. Build one of every unit. Most easily done with an economy boost and very useless AI.

Should not require Titans.
Galactic War
Galactic Annihilation
Annihilate your opposition throughout the galaxy

Win Galactic War, removing the enemy from every system. Play on a small map if you don't want to be doing this for a week.

Technophile
Discovered a new loadout in galactic war

The loadouts are found by defeating specific named faction leaders in specific named systems. Your best bet is to play on a small map, hunt down the leaders and hope you unlock one.

Warning: installing a community mod to unlock all Galactic War loadouts as I recommend for Ruthless may interfere with unlocking this. So attempt this first.

One Down
Eliminate a faction in galactic war

Defeat a faction leader in Galactic War. Will come with attempting both Galactic Annihilation and Technophile.
Other
Worldbuilder
Start a game with a custom system

Make a custom system. Start a game with it. Nothing can go wrong here.

Team Player
Participate in ten team games

Play Skirmish games with teams. To make this go quickly, give yourself several Absurd difficulty AI as teammates against one AI on the enemy team.

Saving before the conclusion of a game should allow you to reload and have it end again, with it counting towards this achievement every time.

Against All Odds
Win against three times as many players

Play a skirmish game against a team with three players. Give yourself whatever advantages you want, and give them whatever disadvantages you like. This doesn't need to be hard.

Architect
Build every structure in a single game

Play a skirmish game with whatever advantages you want, and systematically go through every kind of fabrication unit and build every structure available to you. You will need a system with a water planet, a metal planet, and a moon/asteroid otherwise you cannot build naval factories, Catalysts and Halleys.

Note: this should work in PA: Titans, previously it required rolling back to classic.

Enthusiast
Watch competitive play for two hours as a spectator

See Fanatic below.

Fanatic
Watch competitive play for eight hours as a spectator

See Enthusiast above.

These are the most absurdly time-consuming achievements in the game. You can create multiplayer matches with yourself as a spectator and with AI as all players, then you can leave it running in the background. Remember to set the game to competitive at the top of the set-up screen.

You have to watch full games, to completion. Exiting before the game finishes will add nothing onto the counter for this achievement.

Important note: Sim performance, expressed an a percentage, is a measure of the time dilation the game is using in order to run smoothly. A low percentage means the game clock running more slowly, and this achievement tracks game time, not real time.

To put this into context, if you watch a game for 8 hours at 25% sim performance, you're only logging 2 hours of gameplay watched.

For this reason, you're better off with simplistic systems, few AI, and shorter games in case you have to go wrestle your dog or something.

Anyone willing to help me with him or me?

Just out achievement hunting and can confirm PA does still need to be set back to Classic in the Settings tab in order to build the radar structure on the surface of a planet to get Architect.

Been so long since I wrote this, I bet there's a lot of new tricks!

Queller AI will fight itself. Infact Im pretty sure thats one of the primary uses for it, watch the AI fight and pick strategies and tips from them. So in a sense you could gain the achivement sorta legitally.

they might have patched that so that the AI doesn't fight itself anymore unless there is a human player. The devs can't even pay people to play this game, let alone watch people play it.

For Enthusiast and Fanatic, you can increase the game speed with '+' and it'll count it as if you watched it at normal speed

I did try before the planet was moving but didn't try making sure they are enemy built! It was my own planet and halleys, apparently that used to work but it wasn't for me now.

I think it still works in the original PA, many have the achievement and according to astats have unlcoked it several unlocked in the past year or so.

I'll try making sure the enemy builds the halleys. My goal is to get 100% of the achievements in both of the games: Original PA, and also in TITANS upgrade/expansion.

Could also be one that works better on Titans, rather than pure PA.
Tarvu  [author] 3 Jul, 2020 @ 11:46am
Did you try doing it before the planet is moving? It should only require that there are enough enemy-built Halleys to move it.

What's the secret to unlocking "Him or Me" achievement?

I've blown up an incoming planet with the annihilaser several times but it isn't unlocking. Here's a short video clip of my post recent attempt, let me know if I'm missing something:
