After a whole decade of support from over 94,000 awesome subscribers, Map Icons is back with its latest update! I want to dedicate this update to all of you who have supported and subscribed to Map Icons and to those who have suggested improvements and new maps for our collection.

This update is all about optimization. I'm excited to announce that we've managed to reduce the addon's size by a whopping 222 MB, bringing it down to just under 9 MB from its previous 230 MB.

In addition to this significant size reduction, I've also added a brand-new workshop thumbnail to commemorate our ten-year journey. [Rands11] Map Icons Pack is now licensed under CC BY 4.0 and has it's first Workshop Addon Tag.

It's been a long time coming, but Left 4 Dead 2 is now fully supported again in Map Icons! Years ago L4D2 was included but had to be removed because of Garry's Mod updates conflicting. Today I went and added them all back in and a couple of older requests.

Since 2015, I have been planning to continue support for the number one Map Icon addon on the Steam Workshop. Since the official release in 2013, over 63,000 unique people have subscribed and left 256 positive ratings. I can’t thank you enough for all the positive support Map Icons have received for the past several years.

This is the first full update to Map Icons since 2015. I have bumped up the number of Map Icons now from 255 to over 300. After four years, all of the Left 4 Dead Map Icons have been fully reinstated. Left 4 Dead 2 Map Icons are on the backburner for a possible future update.

Hot fix for the broken update on March 2, 2016. That update was for a different test addon and was not ment to replace Map Icons.
