They do have to be scheduled on free time to receive therapy.

@Mazig - Check their schedule, see if its set to anything when you try to force them. May not be relevant any more but some time ago if a pawn was scheduled for sleep, but fully rested, you couldn't force them to the couch (they would immediately get up).

The problem with that system is that they'll interrupt what they're doing to attend. You don't want that for a routine activity.

@orion yeah might do. I wonder if you could hijack the Rituals framework for that, like Gather for Birth does in Biotech. I don't know anything about modding though, just thinking about what's already in the game that I've seen.

Relationship counceling would be a cool feature. Where both pawns have to talk with the therapist at the same time. But then it'll really need some sort of appointment system.

I would love to see relationship therapy as an option for this mod. I can't looking because I currently have a colony full of people who hate each other, and that's becoming very annoying.

You need to update the defName for the couches for 1.5 as they conflict with (overwrite) the new vanilla couch. :)

I will update them eventually, yeah. I'm getting a lot of help from Adamas, so that might speed things up, since I don't have a lot of time.

I'm not making new stuff myself anymore. However Adamas is. I hear rumours about a bar and nightclub expansion or so. So that could be pretty cool.

Yeah this doesn't seem like a question of compatibility but of expanding Therapy a fair bit. From what I can tell that's pretty much doubling the complexity of Therapy on my end.

That's pretty much out of scope for me. Maybe you can talk Mlie into doing it. I don't have the time anymore for big changes like that.

(3) Adds Counseling.

Counseling appears as a bill on the individual with the illness, like surgery. A counselor must be trained to a certain degree in Medicine in order to perform the bill, but the magnitude of their success will be based on their Social skill. Counseling reduces both the present and the maximum severity of an illness. It can only occur once per day. If a patient is counseled to the point where the illness is permanently controlled, it will be removed, though it may recur if triggered anew.

And the Therapy mod to have the same effect to reduce symptoms/help minimize in tandem. I love how to set up an office and room from this mod. I don't know if there would be integration is really the question I have, I guess. Sorry it took me so long to get there. LOL

Hi author ,my people hardly stay there for psychotherapy:steamsad: even if I set 1 priority for both rest and therapy.Once I force one patient to do so ,he just touches the bed then does other things for relaxation.I checked the debug log and no exception about this.This problem comes after I add some useful mods,which don't happen early in the game.

hi if you want a slightly less cheaty way, you can use the rimmsqol quality of life mod, which generates "points" when certain things happen in the game, and you can pool all the points together from all of your colonists, and use it to "buy" tweaks, such as removing skills/traits or adding them etc. (i think it can give you some points retroactively, but usually generates more points over time)

Can this mod remove certain traits? For example: Creepy breathing or Gourmand - The pawns go to therapy and work out their issues with breath techniques/their relationship to food.

I'm looking for a "lite" trait removal mod, and tbh I'm not finding many mods on this subject at all. There's certain negative traits in the game that're... Kind of frustrating lmao. Some traits induce oddly large de-buffs or irritating quirks (like -25 social impact/pawns eat 50% more food). I'm looking for a solution, I guess.

(If anybody knows of any good mods that lets me selectively remove traits mid game, Let me know!)

hi i think you are right, with social impact but if you see the number shown next to "being councelled", you can try with a similar character that has say higher intellect to see if the number gets bigger.

Suggestion, can therapy have an added proactive option to not delete but suppress an unwanted trait like how some traits cancel the effects of others like wimp v brave.

On mods that restrict the game to medieval category items only, the Therapy bed isnt available, I believe it is removed. Referring to mods such as Medieval Overhaul. Any chance you could add a Medieval/Tribal therapy bed? Even if it had the same texture?

Great mod! Have you considered adding "Get Head Shrunk" to the schedule tab? Would be a nice way to force pawns to get therapized on the regular.
