When you say downloaded what do you mean? Extracted from the POD game files? Or something else? The track tool package is the BallisticNG tool package for Unity?

Yeah, I didn't notice those tracks layout were from POD, besides Beltane of course.

Favorite was SkyTrack
also pod's problem was that... well later tracks like metropol was driving a maze rather than a race tack...

I downloaded the 3D meshes and imported them, there's a tool in the track tool package to create track layouts from arbitrary meshes. :)

While POD tracks as such aren't very popular, people have been playing POD tracks in BNG without even knowing it. Sylvatar is Pompeii, Shimoda Run is Veitland, Shiva's Dance is Burrow, Runavik is Alderon, Beltane is ...Beltane, and there's a track in development that is City.

True, Pod isn't really popular unfortunately.
I would like to try to port some Pod tracks myself, what tools should I use? Is there some kind of tutorial somewhere?

i think the only issue i found is the 3 segment jump for shortcuts is sealed up.
you can get trapped in there

It is pretty easy, but modern players don't tend to like tracks like those...

I've not experienced PoD for myself in the past. This track reflects a rarity I like about classic racers, one thing I feel is missing from many track selections, official and custom. There is no track, the scenery and experience show the way. Instead of a track that is built around nice scenery, a track that 'is' part of the eye candy. A lot of BNG scenery can feel somewhat outside the race, instead of a part of it, I get that is also one of the intended designs. I wouldn't mind seeing some locations that use the scenery more.
