I might need to look more indepth but so far I don't see any really notable differences between the ambient files in L4D1 and 2.

I sorta did that, except i took L4D1's ambient folder, put it in a .vpk, and then did nothing else.

What are the differences specifically? I tried examining the contents to see what you changed but it just looks like you took L4D2's ambient folder, put it in a .vpk, and did nothing else.

I've always loved the L4D1 ambience over L4D2's. It has much more of a horror-vibe over L4D2's straight funny action vibe.
I've tried looking for color corrections to make L4D2 campaigns feel more like L4D1 but nothing seems all that good lol
