The skin is amazing, the red dots complement the grey areas. That said, I don't think the title "Nuclear Winter" matches the design itself. The definition of Nuclear Winter, is as follows:

[ A period of abnormal cold and darkness predicted to follow a nuclear war, caused by a layer of smoke and dust in the atmosphere blocking the sun's rays.]

A Nuclear Winter would cause massive losses of life most animals that possibly survive are species that do not require much food, water, or areas of shelter. In other words, invertebrate. (Animals without bones.)

While I'm not sure the majority of players will bother to take notice, Valve do take names into account.
