Why Early Access?

“We're launching Bullet Noir in Early Access to kick off a community-driven feedback loop. After all, it's not just an ambitious project, it's also the first game in Wolcen Studio’s new Indie Initiative. Community-led development is at the core of this project and will define how we build all of our games moving forward.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least 3 months. The feature roadmap is available in-game and on this page.
We have a rough timeline for the full release, but it may shift based on player feedback and our commitment to delivering the quality you deserve.
We'll keep you updated with progress reports along the way.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For Version 1.0, we are planning to include polish based on community feedback, as well as the following planned content:
• A 5th story chapter that completes the narrative and delivers the ultimate skill challenge
• A 2nd game mode: Arcade Mode, where you can play any character on levels not originally designed for them. We're tweaking those levels to give each character a fresh, unique experience
• A 3rd game mode—currently in development. More details to come during Early Access
• Localization for additional languages (to be announced)
• More settings options, including key binding, borderless window mode, and others
• Additional features and improvements to be revealed

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build features:
• 4 story chapters, each starring a unique character
• Distinct gameplay styles and narrative arcs for each character
• Arcade Mode (early version) with one of the four characters playable
• A rich narrative presented in a bold comic-book art style
• A diverse arsenal of weapons to master

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, there will be a price increase at launch. We're offering a discounted price during Early Access—it’s our way of saying thanks for supporting us early.
If you purchase the game now, you'll get the full version at no additional cost when it launches.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're actively listening. Feedback from Steam, Discord, and our social channels will directly shape patches and future updates.
Our goal is to fine-tune Bullet Noir with your help—both for the 1.0 launch and beyond.”
