Having trouble with UVHM? Don't Have time to farm? This guide will helps you discover some of the most underrated weapons and gear in Borderlands 2. Most of these items do not require much farming

Introduction

This guide is designed to help my fellow Vault Hunters in UVHM (including op8). Many good weapons and gear are often overlooked. Yet, they can be obtained very easily either by quest rewards or simple farming.

Note: the only way to obtain quest rewards at a higher level is to reset your UVHM play through. This could be a good way to get multiple Sandhawks or get gear for different characters.
Tip: There is a way to save a lot of time. When you have unlocked UVHM, you can simply just do Captain Scarlett Dlc. You can reset your UVHM after that

Since enemies in UVHM have a lot of health, it is imperative that you slag them.
There are many ways to slag enemies.
-Many characters have skills that allow them to slag (ex: Maya ruin)
-Grog Nozzle (Perhaps the best way to slag)
-Florentine SMG
-A Slag Pimpernel (If you do not like the Pimpernel you are getting, you can alt+f4)
-Any Maliwan weapon of any rarity that can slag.
-Magic missles (though this will need farming)

The Base Game

-1) Gwen's Head: Unique pistol that can be obtained in 1 of the 5 locations in the Dust. You can get this weapon as many times at any level in UVHM

-2) Lascaux: Great SMG on maya. This is found in the shallow pool in Forstburn Canyon. You can get this weapon as many times at any level in UVHM

-3) The Hellfire: Great SMG that can be obtained from Scorch. Scorch does drop this weapon fairly frequently.

-4) Law and Order: Great melee gear for Zero and Krieg.

-5) Octo: This is a poor man's Omen. It can be obtained from the quest Slap-Happy.

-6) Roaster: This is a poor man's Badaboom. It can be obtained from the quest Note for Self-Person.

-7) The Scorpio. This can be obtained by completing the quest Bearer of Bad News. This quest is very easy.

-8) The Sloth. I do not recommend getting the Rubi. The Grog nozzle is a better source for healing. Additionally, Grog nozzle levels up with you. Therefore, I think rubi is obsolete compared to the Grog Nozzle (unless you are playing as Salvador). Therefore, turn the quest Rakkaholics Anonymous to Mordecai.

-9) Lady Fist: The most powerful pistol in the game because of 800% critical hit damage. Obtained from the quest Uncle Teddy.

-10) Fibber: Unique pistol given by mal. Great on Maya and Gaige. However, you do not want the shotgun version of this weapon. Rather than aiming at the object, it is better to aim at the ground

-11) Flame of the Firehawk shield: Great for Hellborn Krieg.

-12) Love Thumper: Great melee shield. However, do not use in co-op. Quest: Best Mother's Day Ever

-13) Heart Breaker: Powerful Moxxi shotgun which heals u. Quest: Safe and Sound. Make sure to turn in the quest to Moxxi.

-14) The Creamer: A Moxxi launcher which is very powerful. You have to complete Creature Slaughter: Round 5. You might even be able to summon Vermi in round 2 if you are playing with friends

-15) The Hail: Powerful Assault rifle which heals you. You have to complete all rounds of Bandit Slaughter. The fire version of this weapon is great against terramorphous

New: -16) Fuster Cluck. This is an amazing greande mod. Quest: The Pretty Good Train Robbery

New -17) Teapot. Powerful Corrosive Pistol. Good against Wilhelm. You Are Cordially Invited: Tea Party

New -18) Morningstar. Quest: Hyperion Contract 873. Good Sniper Rifle.

New -19 & 20) Good Touch & Bad Touch . Both can be obtained by repeatedly tipping Moxxi.

New -21) Aequitas. A Good alternative to the Sham Shield. It can grant elemental resistance. Additionally, +10% duration to Fight For Your Life time for every player wearing this shield. Good against Raid bosses for extra Fight For Your Life time. Quest: Clan War: Wakey Wakey

New -22) Longbow (sniper rifle): a rare drop from Badass Creepers.

New -23) Blockhead: a rare drop from Badass Creepers. Great on Axton

New -24) Unkempt Harold: rare drop from Savage Lee in Three Horns Divide. Your luck may vary here

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty

IIn my opinion, this dlc has some of the best gear in all of Borderlands 2..
While you can attain great gear in the treasure room, there are a lot of other items available from quests.
-1) Rapier: This is a the strongest melee weapon in the game (200% melee damage). It can simply be obtained by turning in a quest in Hayter's folly,
-2) Orphan maker: This is a very powerful shotgun. It can simply be obtained by the completing the treasure in the bottle quest in oasis
-3) The Jolly Roger. This is one of the strongest shotguns in the game. While most bandits weapons in the game are weak, this is truly an exception. All you have to do is finish the Just Desserts For Desert Deserters quest. In order to have its full potential, you want either the "Critikal Hit" or "Assssult". prefix.
-4) The Actualizer: While this is not the best SMG in the gun, it is fairly easy to acquire. All you need are seraph crystals
-5) The Sandhawk: Powerful SMG when used with the bee shield. You can obtain this SMG by doing the quest Whoops.
-6) Pimpernel: Very powerful Sniper rifle obatined from the quest Don't Copy That Floppy.
-7) Grendel quest. Upon finishing this quest, You will receive a blue class mod

Items dropped from Hyperius: Since Hyperius is not a very hard boss (especially with zero), it is important to talk about some of his seraph drops. Hyperius does drop his seraph items frequently (unlike his legendary drops ex: Norfleet)
-The tattler: This SMG can beat the Sandhawk in terms of DPS if you are not using a bee shield. I would sau you can get the tattler 1 out of 10 times from Hyperius.
-The evolution shield: a great shield that can be used against ancient dragons of destruction

Tiny Tina Dlc

-1) The SWORDSPLOSION!!!: a great shotgun for axton and Krieg. Quest: The Sword in The Stoner

-2) The Grog Nozzle: The best way to get your health back. Make sure you never turn in the quest The Beard Makes the Man.

Seraph Items
-Florentine: Great SMG for slagging and does okay damage. You can get this from Seraph Vendor in Flamerock Refuge multiple times.

-Antagonist shield. Perhaps one of the best shields in the game. You can get this from Seraph Vendor in Flamerock Refuge multiple times.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of great items that you can get without a lot of effort.
However, 3 come in mind
-1) Lead Storm. This is the one of the best assault rifles in the game. A fire Lead Storm is very effective against Terramorphous. You can buy one from the seraph vendor in the Hunter's Grotto.

-2) Infection pistol. I only recommend the "Binary" Prefix. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this weapon for the op levels. The damage over time is not effective at the op levels.

-3) Rough Rider

New -4) Yellow Jacket: This weapon can be obtained from Jackenstein. It is a fairly frequent drop.

Mr. Torgue Dlc

Unfortunately, many people choose to only buy legendaries from the Torgue vending machine. This is a great idea. However, it can cost about 600 Torgue tokens. I have a different suggestion. Many great of purple and blue rarity can be obtained from the Torgue vending machines. They cost around 50-120 Torgue tokens.

How do I get enough Torgue tokens
-1) Tier 3 Rematch: Bar Room Blitz (Can be repeated infinite times). It is also a great way to level up yourself. You can also use this method to get anarchy stacks on gaige very fast.

-2) Tier 3 Battle: The Death Race (Can be repeated infinite times). I recommend getting The Afterburner from the mission Positive Self Image

-3) The Kitten. All you have to do to for this quest is putting up posters.

-4) The Slow hand: You can get this Moxxi weapon from Piston (he has a chance to drop it) . It is very good on Krieg.

New -5) Big Boom Blaster: Very good shield that regenerates your grenade and rocket ammo. You can get this from Pyro Pete in UVHM.

Seraph items
-Sponge Shield: If you do not have the sham shield, you can get the sponge shield. It is a great alternative

-Meteor Shower: very powerful explosive greande mod

-Pun-chee shield: Weaker version of hide of Terramorphous

Other tips

Look out for the item of the day. There are sometimes blue and purple items offered.
You may even be able to obtain legendaries from the item of the day (Very rare)

What if you want to farm?

If you have some time to farm. I recommend the following things:
-1) How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day Dlc. You will get a lot of blues and purples. However, legendaries are very rare

-2) Farm Saturn. Good Xp along with blues and purples

-3) Farm Bunker. I generally farm the bunker for experience. He does drop a lot of blues and purples. Unfortunately, the Sham and Bi*** weapon are very rare. The decision to farm for them is up to you. I recommend using Zero and his b0re skill to make quick work of the Bunker.

Over-rated gear?

The infinity Pistol is the most over-rated weapon in the game. There are so many better options available at op8. I do not even consider the infinity even among the Top 20 Pistols.

-The Stalker Pistol
-Stinger

If everybody took that stance, we'd never have anything to debate, and others would go about their games having to rediscover what we knew all along because nobody told anyone what the good guns were.
Of course, there is something to be said for that exploring and finding-out playstyle, but nobody's forcing anyone to read these posts, so that falls flat.

Being a bad pistol don't matter too much when you're putting out so many bullets, boosted by 0ne sh0t 0ne kill or Divergent Likeness+I'm Your Huckleberry and a Bee with Sheriff's Badge. By that time, sure, a Lady Fist is better if you could hit all your crits or a DPUH better if you could hit all the projectiles, but there ain't much that can do constant damage like that and cost no ammo at all.

It's a good backup weapon for noammo situations, and with 0ne sh0t 0ne kill you can get +60% damage on every shot without any class mod boosts.
Or you can use it with Get Some and Last Longer and a Berserker/Legendary Gunzerker for win.

well infinity pistol is really bad there are way better guns out there. Look at bahroo's top 5 pistol guide on youtube. You cannot b0re voracdious and you cannot b0re master gee. Follow bahroo

Try shooting from a distance. If you don't have a way to avoid damage, don't use a bee.

bee shield is poor at survivability good for bosses yeah but not for mobs
