Unreal II: The Awakening
Anyone else played this? I actually quite enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, Unreal is a far, far better game but I thought Unreal II was quite fun. I liked that it was a bit different with the spaceship hub and characters. I'd be interested to see what others thought of the sequel....

Unreal 98 / Gold refuses to Open even with UnrealGoldPatch227i
game refuses to open even with a clean steam install and patch227i, any potential fixes for this? game runs fine off of steam, though i have to open it twice in order for it to actually open. :quad:

UNREAL
I still think this is one of the best FPS games ever made. I love the fact it's not just constant fighting and love the exploration aspect of the game. The atmosphere, in no doubt helped by the wonderful score, is unlike any other FPS game I have ever played. I love the variety in levels but they still seem cohesive. I can't write about this game without mentioning the A.I. This was released before Half-life, and as much as I love that game, the A.I is just wonderful here, especially the Skarrj. Very d...

Full game available via OldUnreal, Epic-approved
The folks behind the OldUnreal patch have recently gotten permission from Epic themselves to host a full installer package which will download the original disk image from archive.org, and then automatically install the latest patch (currently 227j). This might have something to do with not being an Unreal kid, but this game just doesn't grab me. The weapons feel floaty, and it just hasn't aged well. I know this game was revolutionary for its time, and created a game engine still being used commercially today, but the gameplay just wasn't there for me.

I feel like even the original doom did better gameplay and enemy design.

This is real game, no explanation, no storytelling just you and the world to explore without any unnecessary mouth running.
No micro-transaction just pure FPS. Amazing musics, colours and atmospheres. Sound effects, music, design... Like Unreal tournament with story mode. Patch 227i Highly recommended! Otherwise the game is too dark.
