Hello Pilots,

We're closing in on our release date of April 30! And we're going to continue our Pilot introduction series and today we have a pilot that has never been in a public demo! So please say hello to Kaia - Like Shun, she's a Stinger pilot with her own unique twist.

Name: Kaia

Place of Birth: Atelane, a man-made ocean city.

Bio: Kaia’s home is Atelane, a man-made ocean city located in the center of the Atlantic Ocean. The people of Atelane spend most of their time under the surface of the water exposed to blue-tinted sunlight, which has caused them to develop a slightly blue skin color.

When she was still young, Kaia discovered stories about pirates, freely sailing the seas and going on fantastical adventures as they pleased. She was fascinated -- all she’d ever known was Atelane, and so she envied the pirates who had the freedom to explore the ends of the Earth without worries or constraints.

Kaia spent her teenage years with a deep longing for an adventure outside of the confines of Atelane. She would stand atop the city’s ocean level observation platforms and longingly gaze at the empty ocean, dreaming of the magnificent and diverse cityscapes of the world that she had only ever seen on screens.

• Booby Traps- All of your Pickups become Booby Traps. They have a special effect when triggered during your run.
  
• Fool's Gold - Your Booby Traps that have LEGENDARY rarity strike their entire row and column when triggered.
  
• Treasure Chest - Starts on the grid. When destroyed, it drops treasure and gives Shock to 3 random invaders.

Kaia's artifacts are designed to keep the landspacelubbers as bay!

Having unique artifacts and cards for each pilot really helps build diversity during your runs. Kaia has some interesting cards like Plunder! which increases the rarity of all Booby Traps, then triggers and redraws them.

Hello Pilots,

We're now well and truly in release month and it's less than 30 days until we launch! What better time to say hello to our first Stinger Pilot - Shun!

"Time's ticking. Make every second count."

Name: Shun

Place of Birth: Earth's largest metropolis, Shin-Tokyo

Bio: Shun was born into one of the richest families in Shin-Tokyo. His parents run a megacorp in the city. As a result, he had a relatively easy and carefree life. He spent most of his time gaming -- because of his family’s status, he never felt the drive to do anything more meaningful with his life.

That all changed when he turned 18, when it was discovered he had a rate, incurable heart disease. This diagnosis sent him into a depressive state, and he would rarely leave his hospital room.
He is granted a second chance by a medical breakthrough: the Medusa. The Medusa uses electrical impulses from jellyfish organs to deliver the right biological signatures to the heart.

• Mitochondria - When your turn begins, Shock a random invaders
  
• Venom - At the end of the turn, for each entity with Shock, remove Shock and strike them
  
• Spirit Arcs - When you strike a Shocked invader, 50% chance of giving Shock to a random invader.

You might find Shun's artifacts quite shocking!

Having unique artifacts and cards for each pilot really helps build diversity during your runs. Shun has some interesting cards like Electrokinesis which allows him to move an entity to any tile, and if that entity was Shocked, it strikes itself and all adjacent tiles.
