Silly little adventure RPG game with silly humor, it's enjoyable to grind in this game, and the wide choice of special abilities and skills is chef's kiss.

The story was so surprisingly good and touching, but it's also SO fun and funny!

As advertised, an old school action RPG that pays homage to stuff like SNES-era Zelda and Secret of Mana. There's a lot of freedom to build the exact character you want and you can re-spec at any time too, which was pretty cool.

The story's not terribly complicated and sometimes a little too tongue-in-cheek and meta, but it wasn't as shallow or bad as other reviews led me to believe, and the gameplay loop is pretty fun.

It's a bit strange because to me, more than a Zelda homage, this one felt more like if you took a farming/life sim in the style of Stardew Valley or Fields of Mistria, but you dropped the farming altogether and further developed the adventuring side of the game and focused on that. You even get to build and decorate your own home in the main city.

After beating the game and finding about 90% of the collectibles, my only complaint so far is that some of the loot, such as monster cards and fish, is kind of a pain in the ass to collect or farm, but I'm not really stressing about it nor going for 100%.

The only time it caused me any actual trouble during the game was when I had to find two magical seasonings as part of a side quest and I already had one since way back in the game, but the second one never spawned because it came from a very rare enemy and it never showed up again despite the fact that I spent a lot of time in the location where it spawned. That was not cool because that side quest asked for literally hundreds of items on top of that one and I farmed all the rest with no issues.

Other than that, I had a great time with the game and I have to admit I enjoyed the story despite the criticism it gets and, simple as I already said it was, it was surprisingly detailed and had more depth than I expected.
