If you've played and liked any of the other 100 Cats games by this company you will likely enjoy this one too. I love ancient Egypt, I love cats, so this was particularly right up my alley. After having played several of their 100 Cats games, it's exactly what I expected based of my previous experiences.

Visually the hand drawn cartoonish illustrations feel whimsical and charming and I enjoy looking through the scenes. The cats themselves, I'm a little iffy about. My biggest issue with these games (and clearly it's not a very big one since I continue to come back for more) is that some of these hidden cats really don't look like cats at all. Sometimes they are oddly shaped blobs with some element like a tail that indicates it's a cat. So, if you just adopt the strategy of clicking any shape that seems a little out of place not just obvious cats you'll find them all.

In terms of gameplay, it's a simple point and click interface. You can zoom in and out and you can view the scenes in color as well as black and white. My strategy is generally to start in color and click every cat I can see while zoomed out, then zoom all the way in and go segment by segment looking for cats. By the time I've looked at the whole scene there's usually 1-4 cats I haven't found. Switching to black and white usually makes a few more visible. Then I often find there's 1-2 tricky ones I still struggle with for example the last one was basically a circle with a curvy line coming off it (a cat butt and tail). It wasn't an obvious cat and it was well hidden.

I enjoy playing these because they generally take only about 15 minutes a scene (30 for both scenes) or less. These are very calm games that I feel help me take a little time to calm and de-stress myself. They don't have a huge replay value to me and they don't require any real thinking or anything so they serve me largely as a quick relaxing one time activity. That seems adequately reflected in the price here which was under $1.

One thing I like and dislike about these games are the achievements. I am a completionist, and an achievement hunter so naturally I love games with achievements and getting 100%. This has 100 achievements which is cool, but at the same time it's because you get one for each cat you find. Considering it's pretty easy they don't feel much like an actual achievement. They unlock naturally with no extra effort needed. It would be nice if there were also a few for something not expected or unusual. I do however enjoy seeing each achievement pop up with the name of the cat found. Some of the names are especially fun to read.

Although I enjoy ancient Egypt I wish this could have also included some modern Egyptian scenes too. Overall, I'd recommend it to those who like hidden object and who would like something they can relax and play in 15 to 30 minutes.

This game changed my life. In the small amount of time I played this game it completely changed my understanding of the universe and everyone around me. I am now able to speak to god by just thinking about it. buy this game it will change you forever.

Unfortunately, by default, every game on Steam is limited in Trading Cards, Achievements, and a few other things like Perfect Game and Achievements counting.
