We’re thrilled to announce that D.O.T. Defence launched into EA on April 15th! Here’s what’s happening:

AI Skirmish Battles

Our AI Commanders will face off against each other in the Skirmish Mode, with varying levels of difficulty. Watch as they utilize fun tactics, unique powers, and explore a variety of maps. It's a great opportunity to see the diversity of gameplay strategies that D.O.T. Defence offers.

can't open the game

I can't open the game. After launching, it automatically closes after a while. I can only see a screen with two little faces.

Made metaprogression much faster and gave more default unlocked maps and commanders
Fixed a few AI bugs
Added/improved a few VFX
Changed SFX for Unnatural Fog to be less grating
Improved coin graphics to be more readable

Bombing Runs in Wave Defence

Bombing runs feel a bit too oppressive in wave defence right now. Compared to the other AI abilities, they can single-handedly end a run in seconds. One pass can wipe out every building it hits unless I’ve buffed structure health, and even then, stacked bombing runs can still flatten everything. The AI is also very good at lining them up to hit the bulk of my infrastructure in one sweep. The only counterplay I’ve found is to build in a deliberately unsymmetrical way, but that’s not always viable dep...

Unlocking tech rate

Heyo, I'm loving the game! We've enjoyed both the campaign and multiplayer in groups of friends. One thing irks me a tad is amount of starting tech, and also the speed in which you unlock new tech to play with. I can understand the desire to drip feed new features into the game so that the player is not overwhelmed, but I think it could be increased a tad. Having beaten the campaign available so far, and dozens of wave defence and skirmish, we've only just unlocked the Chromatech faction and hunter camps....

Pause function to draw the routes more calmly

I would find it good to add a pause function in general because I realize that drawing the routes for the units needs a steady hand and if you then take care of everything else the whole thing gets very hectic for me so a pause button to draw the routes in peace would be great :)...
