Last week Tempopo launched 🎉 and we wanted to let you know all know the game runs smoothly on Steam Deck!

We're awaiting official Verification but the team have worked hard to make sure that playing Tempopo on your Deck is easy and seamless.

Yesterday we believed we had fixed a rare game logic issue some users had encountered (Block Tempopo could get stuck in place, Uplift Tempopo lifting duration could be halved, Tempopo could turn invisible, and sounds could play at the wrong time), but after releasing the new build, we discovered the underlying cause.

We believe it is now (really) fixed!

We hope you're enjoying Tempopo! We've made a small update to fix a few things we've noticed since launch.

Fixes

fixed a vibration issue on Linux/Steam Deck
improved timing logic in Melody Garden to prevent double columns being triggered
switching seasons while playing music in Hana's Garden will no longer cause UI to appear
fixed issue where dragging instructions or flowers from the dock very quickly could cause unexpected behaviour
improved handling of resolution changing in the event that the game exits before the new resolution is confirmed

Beautiful game. Thoughts after demo.

This was a very impressive demo. I'm not the target audience at all; I'm a young man and this is definitely targeted towards women and children. But I still had fun with it, and feel it deserves recognition. The demo was very generous too, giving you 15 levels to play. The visuals of the game are very impressive. Awesome demo!

As a fan of Witch Beam's previous two games (Assault Android Cactus & Unpacking) I've always wondered where the team would go next... Tempopo sees a return to 3D graphics with a pleasingly adorable art style! I love the conductor character Hana which as an artist myself I can relate to. What is the target group of this game?

Is this game supposed to be played with my child? I think the child in the down-right corner is beautfifully animated but it also seems kinda childish in a sense. But if it's supposed to be for little kids its understandable Though if the game has enough substance for a high and a low skill/wit ceiling as well I wonder if an possibility to toggle off the child (at the point when you press "play") just so I don't feel treated like a kid....

Delightful puzzle game, a real brain bender. The hints are nice for when you get really stuck, but it is very satisfying to figure things out. Puzzles are brilliantly designed, many of them give you red herrings for how you think you ought to solve them, but then when you discover the real solution, it's a real lightbulb moment.

Tempopo is a fun and challenging puzzle game by Witch Beam! I've been a huge fan of Witch Beam's previous two games (Assault Android Cactus and Unpacking) so when I've played the Tempopo demo back in PAX 2022, I was hooked into it! After a few years of waiting... I can confirmed that it is worth the wait!

The game is like Lemmings mixed with Chu Chu Rocket as you place tiles/instructions on one of the 120 islands to guide your Tempopo whilst collecting the flowers that the protagonist (Hana) lost because she played a song so bad that it formed a tornado and blew them away! There are the directional arrows, lift, block, smash and push which may not seam like a lot but the possibilities are endless! There are moments that really had my head scratching, thankfully there is a hint system which tells you if you've an instruction you've placed is in the right spot.

I love the music theme in this game and the music itself is great as well! Hana is a conductor who lead the Tempopo who hop in sync of the music and the flowers they collect are also based on a music instrument which is rad! I love the cute art style as well!

It has a lot of puzzles spanning across 60 Islands for the main game and an additional 60 after completing the 60th Island totalling to 120!

I highly recommend you to check it out!

Magnificent music, but the premise is misleading and it looks like potential is left out

First of all I really liked the music, it's easy to get caught yourself humming in tact. But that also makes it kinda disappointing that there is no rhythm component to the game. I fully expected that by the name alone. I mean "tempo" is kind of a component in a way how you synchronize the purple eyeballs but it's more a planning thing, not something you do actively when they start to run.
