It is a neat little project. I learned about it through following StaggerNight, who did some of the art in the game.
Unsure how much interest there is to continue development on this game, or it's one and done - moving on, but I'd rather point out some areas which could use improvement.

Night time becoming a full pitch black outline of the world is very questionable - I spawned on the tiniest island in the middle of two big bodies of water, so in my first days I didn't even have easy access to praffins to give me wax to craft torches. Terraria has safety checks to make your spawn area mostly adequate in majority of cases. Either way - I think night time should have some very gently visibility, except for when its underground, but there it is dark as it is.

Gravity switching mechanic is fun and all, but it is very unpredictable and annoying most of the time, where you need to battle against a point at which your gravity switches. I think you shoul stick to whatever the general alignment of your area is until you fully cross a gravity boundary AND there is a surface to land on. There were moments where it'd switch gravity, I start falling, and instantly fall back into previous gravity field and just stand on the floor where I started from again.

I got a double-tap to dash item early on and it was infuriating. I think buffer time in which it still holds valid is a bit too long, at least for a frame or two, and the way it works with your momentum is very bad. It feels more like an instant teleport that just instantly makes you fall down like a rock in the place you teleported to. The dash itself and the remnants of the momentum should really feel more kinetic.

Game has charming music, but SFX is lacking. Some of the sounds are a bit too loud and jarring (ie. wood breaking/footstep sounds, which also probably shouldn't be the same sound). A lot of games also feature pickup sounds whenever you get an item. It's common, it's pleasant, it's simple - it's not in this game, for
some reason. Were it for me - I'd do a full pass over SFX and redo most of them to be more soft and pleasing to the ear.

Combat feels... Not great. It feels more like Starbound, rather than Terraria - and by that I mean Starbound's combat is bad. Neither you or enemy feel very kinetic and moveable when you take damage, there isn't a sense of weight. Or you occasionally send an enemy flying several dozens of blocks away from you, for some reason. Otherwise you deal very little damage, enemies deal quite a lot (your HP pool is limited to 100 as far as I understand. edit: it's not limited to a 100 and you do get better armor over time) so any enemy attack feels very punishing. Especially since a lot of them don't bounce off of you or don't knock you back enough to give some time for invuln frames to persist and for you to move away, so you might as well get chain attacked to death without a good chance to move. Another issue is how sporadic and twitchy enemy movement and attacks are. It seems as if they have one speed to approach you, and then get wild as soon as they reach you. It's annoying to adjust to. Also you can hit every single enemy directly through blocks.

All the while a thing you cannot do through blocks is pickup items. They will just sit behind a single block if it's in the way. Maybe it's there to compensate for how big your dig area is, but it doesn't feel very nice.

Torches could really have a bit of a bigger light radius, at least the softer falloff of them, if not the primary light, because the amount of them that is needed to really light up a cave is pretty huge and wax seems less abundant than gel in Terraria.

Graphics isn't something I want to comment much on, as it's more than enough for what it is, but first thing I'd point out is complete lack of smooth autotiling rules to blend tiles together and have their surfaces be slightly uneven and more diverse. Grass here could use some unevenness, as any other block too.

I feel like this is most of what I noticed and thought about while playing the game. Music is pretty sweet and nails down the chill Minecraft-like vibes with it.
As a tiny passion project this is quite impressive and charming, and if it were to be supported (which it may?) it could have as well had a price point or a supporter DLC, although let's be real, not a lot of people buy those.
It's worth an exploratory try; and to developers - keep making things.

An incredibly charming take on the 2D survival builder genre. I'm having a blast discover all that this gem has to offer. Full of charm and love in every nook and cranny, this game takes me back to when I first discovered this genre, and I cannot thank it enough for bringing me back. It's world "gimmick" of the map being as a globe is a really fun way to split the biomes throughout the map, and makes the first time exploration really fun.

The sandbox nature feels fully utilised with how challenging the early mining can be, at least for me. Building a mine shaft, platforms and ladders to get around safely.

If you enjoy games such as Terraria, and the earlier Starbound days, I highly suggest you give it a shot. It's rare to see games with this much love and passion poured into. This is a passion project, and it shows. Kudos to the developper. I'm super excited to play this some more, and to have it as go-to game to recommend to friends.
