Fixed autopilot taking routes through unexplored sectors.
Fixed docks on Asgard and Hyperion sometimes not being accessible.

Giving the Xenon more stuff?

Soo why not give the xenon more stuff? Like an actual dedicated XL carrier? Like the player and other races have? Why not let the xenon have missles? Could be made from simple energy cells. Why not give the xenon some kinda flak M cannon to deal with fighter swarms? Why not give the xenon a mobile repair ship Like all other factions have? I know the reason is "it requires work" but I'm not asking to drop everything and do it right now but in future or something. Do you think the xenon would be way too...

Improved combat behavior of fighters with slow-firing weapons.
Improved combat behavior of missile-armed fighters that do not have turrets.
Improved station budget calculation by excluding resources that cannot be bought because of trade rules.
Improved flight input handling when mixing different input devices or controls.
Fixed capital ships sometimes ceasing fire while continuing aggressive maneuvers against target.

Finally, after 7 years of patching, with the new flight model and all DLCs, this game became slightly better than X3TC and I can recommend it. (Especially if they'll fix dumb npc capital ships behavior in 7.6).

Still not as big as X3 in terms of space and number of ships, and performance well is not perfect (5700x, RTX4060 with DLSS enabled on 1080p, and still fps drops to 30 in some cases), but still very enjoyable.

The game could be great and almost is. The possibilities are immense and they are fun. From trading to fighting, from piracy to management. However, it only is so as long as you don't dive too deep.

Everything is hidden behind horrible UX that fails to guide or explain itself, a lot of things are broken or missing, specifically concerning management of trading aspect. It's impossible to set up logical, easy to understand supply chains between your own stations (your stations need to have money to trade with your own ships), some ship management settings work for some situations but refuse to work in others, and so on. Then there's friendly fire that's extremely sensitive. During a massive fight one someone you were helping out got grazed slightly? Well, now you need to fight them too.

I'm leaving this review with the hope that any future updates or the next iteration in the X series will fix the jank, the bugs, and find the U to meet their X, and make this actually great and enjoyable rather than an experience in debugging game issues through reddit and forums.

X4 is really a deep trader that takes a ton of time to understand how to play. I've restarted 5 times to get the opening moves figured out. Talk about replayability! No two have been alike. i love the flexibility to play with whatever parts im into at the time. Pirate early ships, do some missions, learn the unique trade route that is randomly generated with each new start.
Its complex and keeps happening when you are not looking at it. Other games may be bigger in sheer explorable size, but X4 packs more into it's huge number of sectors than you can get to without a long playtime of building your star empire. CASH is KING! Get those production chains rolling boys!

The Old Controls?

I was just getting back into this game. It seems they broke the controls with some weird update and now my ships take off and never stop even with the flight assist on. I can not play it like this. Is there a way to get the old controls back without a mod?...

I'm still very new to X4, and I have a question: the combat is proving to be quite a challenge I mean, I can’t hit anything! I aim with the mouse, and, well, when I press the scroll wheel to shoot, the shots miss like 90% of the time. So I wanted to ask: is there some kind of auto-aim system? I mean, we're in the future surely turrets should be able to lock on and track targets automatically, right?...

Xenon station turrets are very powerful!

I went into Matrix #9 last night to clean the sector of a Xenon wharf and shipyard that they weren't even using. I already wiped them out of the middle of the map while doing the Yaki quest A Heart For Pirates. I heard that if you trim down the Xenon, they will concentrate their forces and become more potent in their smaller territory. Right now, that is right above the Split. So, I get out there with my fleet of 3 Syns and 3 Odysseus. This should be easy right? I was piloting one of the Syns. Wit...
