Imagine what a remaster could do for this game, 64 bit maps. I would have much rather they did that then Civ VII. Still remains the pinnacle of Civilization for me, Though I should give 5 another chance.

just watched a Polish YT video about it. Guys have played 20 hours. Each "age" gives you a reset, stops all wars. You get towns you can spend influence to acquire, and the only way other civ can get them is thru war. If I remember right, these disappear in every new age? It's just a mess. It looks worse than 5 and 6.... and I hate 5 and 6....

I recently got addicted to civ 4, but then I tried civ 5 with vox populi mod and I don't think I'll ever play 4 again. With the mod, it's like everything I missed from civ 4 was either improved upon or put into civ 5. In Civilization 5 the combat feels so much better with no RNG, and 1 military unit per tile honestly makes everything more strategic; you can defend with less units, but if you want to go on the offensive you're going to need a strong army. I bought Civ4 (Vanilla, Warlords, BTS) and Colonization all in one package. I tried to play Civ4 BTS at Prince level but the computer AI was so good that left me last of all players and beat me as if i played at emperor or deity level. When the game was first out years ago I used to play at Monarch or Emperor level and many times I won. But now this is impossible.
