92 (East India) Squadron - Virtual RAF Unit

We are a world wide group of vitual pilots brought together with a common love of flying.We can be found flying all types of flight simulators but mostly you will find us on Hyperlobby playing IL2 and Cliffs of dover.Our rules are simple ,Treat others with dignity and respect,democracy throughout, every one in the group has a voice and will be heard . We recruit by invitation only.If you wish to join our group come fly with us and join us on coms,this will give us all a chance to get to know you and you us , if you are our kind of pilot you will be invited to join our group.We have chosen to wear the tags of one of the greatest Squadrons ever seen and it is our aim to honour the former members of this great squadron in our game play.

No. 92 Squadron, also known as No 92 (East India) Squadron, of the Royal Air Force was formed as part of the Royal Flying Corps at London Colney as a fighter squadron on 1 September 1917. It deployed to France in July 1918 and saw action for just four months, until the end of the war. During the conflict it flew both air superiority and direct ground support missions. It was disbanded at Eil on 7 August 1919. Reformed on 10 October 1939, the unit was supposed to be equipped with medium bombers but in the spring of 1940 it became one of the first RAF units to receive the Supermarine Spitfire. No. 92 Sqn served in every theatre of the second world war and was also the top scoring allied fighter squadron at the time. Our intent is to recreate the battles and the comeraderie of this great organisation.
