In real life AGOPS (Australian Guerrilla Operations) is a newcomer to the Reign Of Terror Altis Life world. The founding members RizzaMac and Abdul Habibi are friends that enjoy spending time role playing in the Altis life world. In a short space of time they have gathered together a loyal gang that share the same Altis life goals. The goals of AGOPS are to have a good time within the rules.

AGOPS was founded out of necessity to protect members. As new residents of Altis survival can be a harsh reality. Roaming rebel gangs prey on civilians and smaller gangs as a result AGOPS adopted guerrilla tactics for survival. The command structure of AGOPS is traditional with a clear hierarchy and chain of command. Training is rigorous and although not high tech or overly modern it produces fighters that punch above their weight, are fearless and will die fighting rather than surrendering. In the true sense of guerrilla warfare AGOPS is able to blend in with the civilian population when required, this attribute allows them to pick their fights with larger more powerful forces to ensure that battles are not pitched. AGOPS prefers to be opportunistic in choosing engagements that favor AGOPS strengths and take advantage of opponents weaknesses.

Like all successful guerrilla groups, AGOPS must maintain the support of the civilian population to allow them to live among the common people. As such AGOPS can not prey indiscriminately on new Altis residents and law abiding citizens. However having said this it is important to note that AGOPS must maintain an element of fear and respect from the civilian population, this does require that citizens that speak out against AGOPS or its operations must sometimes be made an example of. In such cases civilians may be kidnapped and sold into slavery or if circumstances dictate it, AGOPS has been known to remove kidneys to make a statement that AGOPS is to be respected.
