Foundation!

Good morning, everyone!

I've realized that this group is lacking in direct guidance and active community interaction. I will attempt to be better and begin planning potential events in the future.

The general purpose of the group, though, has not changed: this is intended to primarily be a networking group to facilitate breaking through creator's block, to learn new techniques in building, and to develop your own design philosophy for your fleet.

If I am online, feel free to message me at any time. My PC at home is almost always on and logged in, but I do have Steam on my phone and am more than willing to have a discussion with people at nearly any time (very rarely I am unconscious due to being mostly biological in nature).

We've just had the Contact update come out, which added a ton of new blocks, Prototech (PT), and Encounters. I will be writing up some tactical analyses of the new encounters to help people understand how to deal with them.

I will also be developing a better framework for discussion and updates, including specific tags so that if one *doesn't* want to learn a tactical analysis or the weak spots on a particular ship or station you will be able to avoid such information. I will also be working on a full write-up on my task-oriented fleet configuration/ship classification system, and revising my very old megapost on Reddit about the general mods that exist out there, going through many of the mods I'm familiar with and use, as well as those that are popular by the community, with a short description of what the mods, scripts, and planets actually *do*.

So in short: yes, this group is going to be a bit more active - as it was originally intended to be so.
