The group

Inaugurated on the 29 May 2005, the Gamers of Choice group started off as a guild in Guild Wars known as the Guild of Choice with its founding members being Col. Mustard and Choona. As GoC branched off into other games the guild/clan/group was eventually renamed to Gamers of Choice to reflect the fact we were gamers united in our passion for playing games from a variety of genres. GoC is a social gaming group and serves as a means of finding like-minded individuals to play in their favourite games.

Today, GoC is a mix of real-life friends and friends made online. Even friends from other clans and guilds are welcome as this is a social gaming group at its core. The games we play

Members of the Gamers of Choice have played hundreds of games over the years so to list all of them would be a time consuming exercise. However, please check the Associated Games list periodically to see what are the most popular multiplayer games amongst members (the game must have been played for greater than 10 hours in the past fortnight, by at least one member and has online multiplayer).

The leader

Col. Mustard (aka ]=[ellfire, SoyaKid and Rambutaan) has been running clans and guilds for over 20 years. His first clan he led was known as Another Quake Clan [AQC] for the original TeamFortress, QuakeWorld Teamfortress. However, the clan name was actually never revealed to most folk so it led to many speculating what it actually meant. Later on he formed another QWTF clan called Clan Communist [CC] which was a clan everybody loved to hate - team members adopted handles of infamous communists throughout history.

After QWTF, Day of Defeat (DoD) entered the scene and after playing under other clans at the start, Col. Mustard eventually created the United States of Choice (USC) and co-lead the clan with Dave of Defeat. This also happened to be the first game where he adopted his Col. Mustard handle. Towards the end of his DoD playing days Col. Mustard formed another clan called The Western Front (TWF) before eventually moving to Canberra and hence disbanding the clan.
